The Tulip And The Rose Cafe specializes in all types of cuisine ranging from American classics to exciting Malay and Indian curries, and a strong Turkish influence. We are located in Franklin, but we aim to bring global tastes to the area using local ingredients.

We established The Tulip And The Rose Cafe in 2013 to bring quality food from around the world to Franklin.

From our humble beginnings grilling gyros at the Farmers Market to serving breakfast and lunch every day, catering weddings & hosting dinners for the Franklin Stage Company, The Tulip And The Rose is a place for the whole community.

Conveniently located near Oneonta, Delhi, Sidney and Treadwell, we hope to bring the flavors of Continental Europe, Southeast Asia, India and Turkey to the Catskills.

Delicious and beautiful! We had the chef’s tasting menu and each dish was incredible, I’m so glad we did it that way so we could try everything. We especially loved the minestrone soup, the arancini stuffed with chicken, and the duck prosciutto with melon. Oh, and the desserts! Baklava, pistachio cake, Turkish coffee—heaven in your mouth! And the price was very, very reasonable. We’ll definitely go back. Worth the 1 hour drive.

We had a great vegan meal and would go back again. They change the menu each week so you need to check the web site for the offering. Super service, no alcoholic beverages and you can't bring in any FYI.

The menu we enjoyed was Cinco de Mayo Mexiacn specialities. The soup was peppery and a perfect introduction to the dinner. Salad was crisp, with fresh ingredients. Skewers of shrimp were perfectly cooked and accompanied by fresh green peppers and onions, together with charred Poblano pepper.

Salsa was made from scratch. Delicious. My companions enjoyed their tacos and enchiladas-both meat and veggie. Lemonade was perfect drink to beat the heat from the peppers. Baklava for dessert was excellent way to finish .

The theme menus, emphasizing the cuisine of a geographical region of the earth, are the way to enjoy their skills.

This restaurant is a gem of fine cuisine nestled in the little village of Franklin. It offers a truly unique dining experience. Check the menu before going, as it changes weekly. It is also vegan friendly. And bring a bottle of wine or your favorite beverage, because it is byob.

The food is amazing. The menu changes, so checking Facebook is wise if you are not interested in trying new things. There is variety in what is offered, and I felt I hit the jackpot on the night I dined there. I have craved international cuisine since moving to the area. So glad I've found this place!

Salmon was perfectly cooked, tender, juicy. Crab cake was unfortunately a bit dry and chewy. Everything else was terrific. Great service, as always. I've been here several times, and the crab cake was the only disappointment we've ever had. Despite that, I'll always recommend this lovely place!

As usual the food was excellent. Having enjoyed brunches at this restaurant, I was disappointed that only two vegetarian entrees were offered, and soup provided a very light dinner indeed. I will probably in the future limit my visits to the brunch times.

Read full menu on line, and expected that selection. But on that night they only served tapas. Had 4 orders, food good, but still was hungry afterwards.
Later found out that full dinner menu only served on Mon and Tues.

I was disappointed that you didn't have a dinner menu to order from; Tapas were bit expensive for the amount you received; they were very good. I have eaten at The Tulip and the Rose Cafe (dinner) in the past and the meals were delicious. Will be sure to check the menu before make reservations in the future.

I looked at the website through open table and their own restaurant.. it displays a wide variety of food choices on the menu.. several chicken, seafood, beef and vegetarian plus soups salads and appetizer. I was very excited for Indian and Middle eastern dishes.. When we arrived we were literally the only two people there at six pm... We were presented with paper menu with 7 foods offered.. that was it... nothing that was on advertising website... the food didn't even sound like what you find on website.. I asked if they had a larger menus and they stated that was it.. we left.
I see that as false advertising... your website displays many different dishes, a full menu and you arrive to find 7 items.. so angry and disappointed..

There is no place like this. It’s worth the trip. The jewels you can find in beautiful villages is what people think about, when driving through the countryside of France. We have it here too in upstate NY. And I’m always in NYC for work and eating my meals out.

The food and atmosphere were wonderful. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The only issue was that it was a chilly day outside and the heat must have been turned down low. We had to wear our coats while eating. The ceiling fan was turn up full speed, which added to it being chilly inside.
