   Food was very poor. Like something you'd cook at home, but in the 90's. Very dated like. Which you'd get over if it was tasty but everything except the desert was flavourless. Got x2 mothers day set menu at €33 each so I presume the screw cap house red is €30 as the bill was €96. Seemed an insane price for house wine so I checked Market Lane in the city and their house wine is under 30 so, ya I think the wild goose might be reaching a bit there. Overall a lot of money for such a low standard of cooking. Desert had some flavour though. Obviously wouldn't recommend. Plenty of staff and they were very helpful and friendly. Not very well trained though- didnt know which of the wines were red and which were white

   The food was outstanding, great flavours and portion size. Unfortunately the order was taken wrong or read wrong by someone and my friend got the wrong food. But overall it was a lovely experience.

    Not bad a place place for casual dining. Sizes of food is plentiful and Irish cuisine quite tasty, however I would avoid any Italian dishes - you have no idea how to properly cook Italian food, it was bad, basically soggy pasta - awful. Place a little too shabby for special occasions and the close proximity of production plant doesn’t help. I have expected a bit more of your 4.6/5 stars I saw when booking a table. I would probably recommend for a quick dinner but would stress to keep to Irish food. Your carbonara should be thrown out from the menu.

    I understand it was a busy morning but food was over cooked, some food items were missing and was never brought to the table, they were out of Nutella but didn’t let you know and changed the order to maple syrup when some children don’t eat that.

    Always a great place to eat. I was with a group of five and there was something on the menu to suit every taste and pocket. Food was freshly prepared and very plentiful. Location is excellent, plenty of parking. Service is efficient and a great Christmas buzz about the place. Would highly recommend the Wild Goose.

    Lovely evening and brilliant value for money with the Christmas special menu for 33 euro. Great choice and loads of everything. The staff were really pleasant and attentive, `Would highly recommend.

    TLDR: If you want to know what kind of restaurant this is, it's the kind that forbid us from eating our birthday cake inside. They made us go outside in freezing fog at 0 degrees celsius to the car, to put on thirtieth birthday candles in the dark and blow them out, even though we had just spent €112 at their restaurant. I'd give The Wild Goose zero stars if I could. I took my friend there last night, Saturday the 10th of December, for her thirtieth birthday at 6pm. I was left waiting at the greeting area for ages without being acknowledged, even though I had a booking. Then, I was spoken to rudely and with condescension because I brought my own small cake for her. I was told "Y'know you can't eat that right?" even though when I was making the booking on Open Table it didn't inform me ANYWHERE that I couldn't bring my own cake. They DID ask on Open Table if it was a birthday and if I had any special requests, so I assumed it would be ok. Bella Cafe in town lets us bring our own drink because we pay for the food. I don't know the man's name, but the way he spoke to me and the way he looked at me is how I'm going to remember The Wild Goose for a lot of time to come. We conducted ourselves impeccably and spent over €100 of our hard earned money on food and drink, while being forced to leave the cake in front of us on the table and being forbidden from touching it. Not once did we get an apology and not once did they relent. A truly shocking way to treat paying customers. Food was average. Manners were abysmal. I will be telling everyone I can about my experience at The Wild Goose, and my friend will have these memories of her thirtieth birthday forever. Thanks so much.

    Food was of a poor enough standard. The barbecued wings were so spicy that we thought they had brought us the spicy wings by mistake, asked the waitress if they had made a mistake but she never returned. The man front of house was very much lacking in a personality, someone should train him on how to treat customers, the Irish waitress also very uninterested in her job. The foreign waiters however were an absolute joy, lovely and friendly. Food was very basic, reminded me of canteen food. Way too much choice also. Lesser choice may result in better quality food. Pity because the restaurant area is actually nice. This staff and the food left it down so badly, was so disappointed that I didn’t even leave a tip, first time ever I didn’t tip in a restaurant. Won’t be returning.

    The Wild Goose Restaurant never disappoints. I always enjoy my meal there. The atmosphere is lovely. The staff are fantastic. Highly recommend this establishment. Looking forward to returning in the future.

    Food was lovely but I was very disappointed as I’m a very picky eater & picked the wild goose as they had deep fried Brie on the menu when I was booking but no Brie on Sunday 16th Oct 😔 so all I could have was a salad & chips could have had that at home
