We booked this restaurant for a family meal on Sunday evening . The 'early bird' menu is reasonable value with a reasonably large choice from the main menu. Service was a little 'brusque' at first but overall was acceptable but never quite reached a 'good' standard. The food quality was good and we all enjoyed our meals.
Very enjoyable good food
And superb value
Really enjoyed the Ribs
We had a nice meal on Saturday night, the food was tasty the service was good staff friendly,it was very busy, felt a little bit cramped maybe a few more veggie options would be nice but all in all we enjoyed our time there and would return.
The food is always excellent, the service could be a little better. We were waiting for our drinks and had to ask for salt more than once.
Went to the Woollen Mills for dinner with the two first time Dublin visitors. I wanted to show them something Irish but with a twist - the restaurant did not disappoint - food was delicious! We sat upstairs with a lovely look of the river. Will come back!
Everything was ok and fine. The main course was very big and I had to leave a lot of food. Something was missing, but it was a nice place. I just can't explain what wasn't good enough...
Really cool place, great location overlooking the Ha’Penny Bridge. It was manic for brunch at 11am, therefore service was patchy. Had waffles, spinach, eggs, really disappointing, no taste/flavour, which was surprising, I expected the food to be amazing. There were five in our group and everyone was disappointed.
Lovely spot great food and lovely staff.
Great restaurant great value and lovely ambiance. Highly recommend
I cannot speak highly enough of the lovely meal we had. It was my graduation and we were treated to champaign by such friendly staff. The food was delicious, my sister loved the vegan burger. The wine was delicious. But mostly the staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this lovely spot for any occasion.
What a wonderful meal! Beautiful location, delightful ambiance, fantastic food. Great service as well. We particularly enjoyed the pork ribs, which had a great contrast with the sharp colcannon side. The mussels were deliciously well. A great meal all around.
Nice lunch had by myself and my husband today. It was our anniversary and we got a lovely table in the corner, we only had time to meet for a quick bite on our lunch break but the staff made us feel well looked after. Food was very quick and the quality was 10/10. Thank you The Woolen Mills we'll be back again.
Went here on a busy St Patrick's day for early dinner, service was quick efficient and friendly! Had the butternut squash baji (amazing and very large!), two lovely cocktails and the beef cheek and shin burger (succulent and served with the tastiest hand cut chips!) Very pleasant dining experience even if slightly costly!
Had a great dinner with gal friends here before a night on the town. We ordered a very nice sized glass of Cava and enjoyed smaller dishes off of their appetizer section of the menu. The portions were still good sized even for being on the starter menu, which was a plus! I loved the creative combinations of flavors in each dish and would have loved to branch out and try more.... next time!!
Lovely quiet table looking over the Liffey & Ha'Penny Bridge. Quick, pleasant service. Will return for the Monkfish & one of those lovely cakes :-)
Had a lovely lunch here today, Soups & sandwich lunch offer was on point as the portion size was filling but not to stuffing! I had the chicken sandwich with mushroom soup my friend had a salad plate. Staff were very friendly. Will return. :-)
The food was wonderful. I had the tomato soup and chicken sandwich and everything was delicious.
We chose The Woollen Mills to have Mother's Day lunch in and we are very happy that we did. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our waiter was able to tell us exactly everything that was in the dishes we chose and he was also able to make recommendations, as well as being able to tell us where their delicious tea was sourced! I would highly recommend The Woollen Mills to anyone.
We had in mindto eat in de downstairs restaurant. We were placed on the deck what was not reAlly cosy. We came from Holland with this tip. The waiter was great!
Wonderful comfortable place with great food , helpful staff and relaxing atmosphere
Great service - happy to let us sit and chat over a glass of wine when the other diners had left the lunch sitting and food was very tasty.
The biggest, most delicious lunch we had in dublin. The two course lunch options were fantastic; the wings and bacon ribs were great! The stylish decor, hip-hop music and brilliant menu variety made this a place we’d love to visit again. Oh and the Nutella coffee - wow!
Lovely food, great value and fab views at table upstairs overlooking Liffey and Ha’penny Bridge.
Place was recommended by our airbnb host. Food was OK, but there are other places to eat in Dublin for cheaper and better
Main was an amazing vegetarian option, one of the best mains of 2018 so far, starter was nice as was the dessert. The service was a little off though, the waitress didn't seem enthused that we had a Taste.ie voucher and wasn't very attentive. I had to get up and get new napkins for ourselves when they were taken the first time and a different waiter had to get our check because she never returned after dessert. I don't think we'd come back for a full price meal given the experience.
Thank you to the baker at The Woollen Mills for baking my friends 40th birthday cake on such short notice! It was delish! This place is like home from home, friendly staff, hearty food & leaves plenty of change in your pocket! I will be back!
Very pleasant meal here with colleagues. Relaxed but professional service; excellent food, not too tricky or overworked.
This was a great restaurant which we went to for our anniversary and a birthday. The food was amazing and in good portions, and the staff were really friendly! Would definitely recommend The Woollen Mills to a friend (or anyone) wanting a fun and vibrant evening out!
Thank you The Woollen Mills for catering for EVERYONE! I am coeliac & my friend is Vegan. There was plenty of verity for both, I had slight food envy of my friends Vegan burger, will defiantly give that a go next time! Thanks again! :-)
I really enjoyed my recent visit. The service was great, food was top notch and there was a nice chilled out atmosphere - Sun late afternoon for brunch. Plenty of veggie options and the portion sizes were decent.
I had a lovely time overall and was very grateful that the restaurant could accommodate 10 of us (which ended up being 8) but where we were seated was quite cold. Everyone really enjoyed their food, though my vegan burger wasn't hot.
The staff were very nice but it did take some time for us to order drinks etc which may have been down to how busy the restaurant was.
Lovely setting, polite staff and location was perfect.
Great atmosphere & food. Andy & team looked after us very well. Portions were big & everyone was happy. We had a great catch up in lovely surroundings.
Just been here for Brunch, amazing! The staff were attentive and were very patient with my friends allergy needs :-) Will defiantly return :-)
Good food service not the best ordered several items that never appeared it was busy but they should be able to remember your order
The concept for Woolen mills is great. However the staff were far too busy to offer good service. Checking on tables was done but only as lip service. A couple.more floor staff would have made a big difference. Everyone just seemed too busy to care but they knew they should.
Food was good but I believe over priced. I do t agree with service charge being added automatically either.
Staff are very professional and attentive. I asked for a nice table as we were celebrating 3 birthdays and we were accommodated upstairs. We enjoyed our lunch but a nearby group were excessively noisy and inconsiderate which made everything uncomfortable for us. However when we mentioned this to the waiter he immediately found us another table downstairs. Well done.
The food read well on the menu but was unexciting and bland on the plate. Was here last year and really enjoyed our lunch so not sure what's happened. Waiting staff were warm and attentive.
Lovely food but unfortunately there was a lot of mix ups with our orders which spoiled things a bit. Some of our group had finished their starters while two of us had been given the wrong order & had to wait for the new orders to come. Then there was a mix up with desserts it all seemed a bit disorganised. Definite lack of communication - I think language barrier may have been the problem
Lovely atmosphere for our New Years Eve meal. Wonderful set menu choices - the food was so delicious and creative! Good value and great wine. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. A fabulous evening. We’ll definitely be back when we next visit Dublin.
Frequently there, never disappointed. Staff are all lovely. Even on a busy new years Eve!
