The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. We want it to be an 'Eating House', a house of food, a place to grab a coffee and bun, a plate of Irish fish and chips, a place to score a casual bite befre the nearby theatres and cinemas or sit with seven courses of Irish antipasti, burrata, crab, lamb or cauliflower steak, overlooking the Ha'penny Bridge with a fine bottle of red or a craft beer. We hope we do it well.

    The dinner was delicious. The dishes was a bit big, I recommend 3 plates for 4 people. I would like to be sit upstairs the next time, because it couldn't be possible due to a reservation.

    It was a fantastic dinner. The food was good, the ambiance was great, and the service was incredible. I went with my six-year-old daughter and my one-year-old baby. The restaurant is excellent for the kids: a good kids menu and the staff is very attentive. The price is a little bit higher than the average in the neighborhood. But the experience compensates for this.

    Great food and atmosphere went in at 3:30.. nachos, wings and pizza were delicious and drinks selection is excellent. The only area that let them down was service. It seemed there was a shift change during our meal and while we were asked if we wanted a dessert menu, it never arrived. Following that we asked for the bill and had to bring it to the till to pay while staff congregated to chat at the service area. We were 1 of about 6 tables that were occupied so it seemed that staff assumed they weren't busy and service suffered as a result. That said, food is excellent and would visit again

    The service was very good and the food was very tasty. Ambience is very nicely decorated. Only thing that bothered me was that my steak was a bit more than medium but the taste was amazing.

    The food was excellent and plentiful. The noise level quite high but the staff and other diners were friendly to us British and very welcoming and fun. The atmosphere was one of great enjoyment by the diners. Well worth the visit.

    Really nice meal at the Woolen Mills. The restaurant was really cosy on a wet night in Dublin. Our waiter was very attentive. We had the honey sesame chicken which was delicious. Really generous portions!

    Lovely staff & great location, but food was disappointing - overcooked bream & overly greasy gnocchi. 2 mains, 1xbottle of lowest price wine, a salad & 2xteas for €105 is too much in my opinion.

    Left a bit underwhelmed. Ordered the breakfast parts of it great however left feeling disappointed as the bacon has seen better days as it was dry & inedible. My husband ordered the Turkish eggs, they were good however portion size was small & expensive.
