   Our booking was made but when we arrived we were told that the restaurant was actually closed and there was an issue with the booking system. They did sens us to The Hardiman instead which was lovely but more expensive.

   My boyfriend and I booked into this restaurant after looking at numerous of other restaurants and this one stood out to us, especially the menu. However when we arrived the menu that was on was not the one online and they told us they no longer do this menu…false advertisement! We spoke to a worker and asked him was this the only menu he has on today and his reply was I will go and check. He never came back to us. We then ordered drinks off the manager which was fine. We ordered food we both got steaks we also asked could we get peppered sauce with our steak and we were told yes that’s no problem. When we received the food the presentation of the food was appalling, steak knife was lying underneath the steak with the steak just sitting on the plate with gravy on top of it not even on the side. My boyfriend asked for his medium well and he received it basically raw. We then asked them for our peppered sauce which they had forgot about, we were then told there was none left!! I had ordered chips with my steak and they weren’t cooked properly, they were still frozen on the inside. We then got charged €80 for two steaks and a pint of moretti and Pornstar martini. This is not a place we will be eating at ever again. We left the place hungrier than we did arriving,

   I’m sure it’s a lovely place but just short staffing/ new staff that weren’t familiar with the menu or service influenced my review. With time and training it will be fantastic, some of the waiters are enthusiastic.

   Ordered soup, came up like a long time after and gad no taste, the homemade bread with it was so dry. Service was slow and inexperienced guys.

   We were seated at a table which was dirty and still had the previous bookings glasses/ milk etc on. The table wasn’t cleared or cleaned until we requested so after being there for 15 minutes. Even then it was poorly done and not reset so we separately had to ask for water glasses and cutlery. We had to asked 3 times for water and eventually got it after being there for 30 mins. Service overall was very poor. It was the waiters first day, he was visible nervous but it wasn’t his fault, he was given no support from the other staff in the restaurant. Thankfully when we did get our food it was lovely.

    We had a lovely time. We had an excellent waitress, it was her first day serving as she usually works behind the bar but she was very friendly and professional, we couldn’t tell it was her first time at all! The price was surprisingly low for the quality of the meals we were served.

    Came for dinner at 8pm, got our table straightaway. Service was great and food was amazing. The outdoor area was nice and sheltered and there was a good buzz around the place.

    Understaffed on a Friday evening. Waited 1 hour for the starters. The steak had more fat on it then meat, very poor for the price. Bad management overall as the staff were run off their feet. Even getting the bill at the end of the night took 20 mins to come to us. Not a great experience for the money that was spent.

    Food was OUTSTANDING.. Exactly what I was looking for my birthday, I recommend and will book again. The only issue was the service, being outdoors, staff should be more outside to see what customers want, and drinks took v long.. And the kitchen closed and no one said anything so when I was about to order more I couldn't.

    Good outdoor area with plenty of space to social distance. Food and drinks were pretty good, unfortunately you’re kept waiting if you want to order more drinks / dessert. Staff not the most attentive, they are lovely though and very friendly

    Food was nice but completely let down by the absolutely dreadful service. We waited 40 minutes for 2 drinks which we ordered when we arrived but came after our food. Any time we requested anything from the waitress it took extremely long even though there was a number of waitresses working and there wasn’t many people there. At no time did we receive any apology for the slow service. Avoid.

    We visiting the Yard 2days ago with our children. The outdoor dining area is very small and close to a busy main road so a lot of noise. There was only 1 girl serving all tables and although polite the service was slow. We had all finished our food by the time my daughter got her gravy. The food itself was very basic. I had wings which where suppose to be in sauce but where Infact bbq and the smallest wings ever. The loaded fries were cold and very greasy. The curry and burger were very basic. I was very disappointed in the whole experience and feel it was not value for money.

    The food was very nice 10/10 however we were seated outside due to Covid restrictions & it rained heavily on us during the meal. The Umbrellas & Covers they seated us under weren’t water proof so it drizzled on us the whole meal. Would have been nice if the weather was good so can’t complain too much. Also people are smoking right beside the outdoor seating area which can be a turn in off.

    Amazing food, drinks and environment! Bruno and the others provided us such a great service since the beginning for my friends birthday. We are definitely coming back when visiting Galway again! Thank you so much, it was really great. I ordered the rare stake and it was incredible!

    My first and last time visiting. When we first arrived, we stood beside the wait to be seated sign and the staff just ignored us and walked by. The outside area is beside a bend with constant cars and loud noise. The waitress didn’t seem to want to be there. We had to remind her a few times of things she had forgotten. There was food missing from my breakfast and was not worth the price. The breakfasts were both cold also. The meat on my partner’s breakfast was dry and tough. All over terrible experience.
