We have spent months researching where to source the best steaks from around the world and the results of that exploration is there is no better beef than Irish and we are proud to say that we serve only the market-best at Tomahawk.
Tomahawk has 80 delightful seats for you and your party to choose from. We have comfy corners matched with matte timber tables adorned with leather seats, where diners can enjoy their delicious meals under the ambient street lighting that pours in from above. Or you can choose to perch comfortably along the gorgeous timber dining bar set around our open kitchen and watch the theatre of a professional kitchen at work in front of you.
Amazing food and wine. Would totally recommend it !
Steak was overcooked, pepper sauce was watery,
Service was very slow and was overpriced for the quality of the food, no starters no desserts just two main courses and three drinks and €140. Much better value in other restaurants around town. Definitely won't be rushing back and would not be recommending to friends.
Valentine night; limited choice of 3 main and at €65 a head it's expensive. €200 all in for 2 with 1 bottle of wine. Beef was chewy, so for a steakhouse that's a bad sign
We did not have many food options, the meat wasn’t done the way we asked it to be, wine was pricey, for that price I can dine somewhere that I know it’s going to be outstanding. Thanks
Food was delicious. Myself and my partner had a set menu for Valentine's day with a bottle of wine. The Chateaubriand for two is something that has to be experienced.
A great atmosphere with a great view of the “action” behind the very glamorous bar, at which you can also eat. The rest of the restaurant was very luxurious and had a 20’s vibe in a candlelit fashion, very attractive.
The steak was succulent and delicious, cooked to perfection and I chose to accompany my T-bone with gambas and a house salad.
To accompany, I chose a glass of Andillian Malbec which was nice and spicy with the steak, without being overwhelming.
While I was satisfied with the food I ordered, I was disappointed that the steaks, expensive and excellent as they are, do not “come with anything”. Everything is extra and extra expensive, including sauces and fries. I would urge the management to review this, as I find this cheeky and disrespectful to the customer.
I will be back, but not on as regular a basis as I would normally be to, what I believe, could be a very popular steakhouse.
This was my third time here and came for an early Valentines meal with my boyfriend. I always book in advanced as it is a popular and central location. We was warmly welcomed and taken to our table, you get a warm little loaf of bread with butter while you wait which is lovely! We didn’t get starters and both chose the Delmonico which was perfectly cooked to both our preferences; my boyfriend chose the Parmesan chips and I had the honey roasted veg. Really love the beef jus you get with the steak. We were a bit gutted to see they have taken off the cauliflower gratin which was a favourite side dish of ours but was happy to try something new! We was too full for dessert but it looked lovely from the table who had it near us. A warm, friendly atmosphere overall, always busy but can still hear a conversation.
The expectative was we though but the only problem we had was our Tomahawk arrived at our table a little bit cold. Beef had a very good flavour. Our side of cheese fries awesome.
Great food and value for the money. Cozy venue and very nice staff.
Nice environment/ atmosphere for a couples meal, waiting staff were excellent. Ordered the Tomahawk steak (ribeye) for two, was a little disappointed in the cooking of it, very uneven. Ordered medium-rare, some parts were rare whilst other parts were over cooked.
The sides, wine and starters were very good. Overall a nice dining experience for a date but I have had better steaks and at €72 just for the steak, I was expecting better cooking of it.
Worth trying out the Tomahawk, hopefully you’ll get a better steak.
Steak was lovely and service was very good
Amazing steaks to be had at the Tomahawk - tender and melt in the mouth.
Only down side was that I personally thought that 6Euros for a small bowl of lettuce leaves was over the top, but maybe that's just Dublin.
Overall a great dining experience and would certainly visit again next time we're in Dublin
Ordered fillet steak medium done and it was raw in the center..ordered side salad and was charged 6 euro for a bowl of lettuce leaves.. parmasan chips were awful. Starters of crab crochet were nice but only 2 tiny ones on plate.. not one drink on list of beers or cocktails that were nice..we had had enough so didn't order desserts..we love to eat out but this was probably worst experience eating out ever .tables on top of each other couldn't even what my partner was saying as the French couple beside us were speaking so loud..had problems getting in and out to go to the loo because we were practically on top of the table beside us squeezed into a tiny corner..never again
Nice restaurant but very expensive when you combine side portions.
Food was amazing don't know how it hasn't got more of a hype about it yet as it's as good as any of the top steak places in Dublin
Great service. One of the steak was burnt and a little over cooked but apart from that we had a lovely night. I would recommend.
Ate here with family , two steaks were not cooked to our requirements , waiter returned them to the kitchen and was most apologetic . Steaks returned to us cooked exactly right with a complimentary side order which was delicious. This is the way to keep your customers, we will definitely go back. Food was yum, staff superb which is so rare to find! Well done Tomahawk
Everything was perfect - food, service, atmosphere
The dinner was amazing. The best meat taste ever. We return when we have the opportunity
Treated the other half to dinner here for his birthday. Couldn't fault the experience. The food was excellent, wonderful steak as expected, delicious sides, starters etc. Service was professional and friendly throughout, wine list a bit heavy on the merlot, but a few nice options. We'll definitely be back the next time a craving for red meat hits!
High quality steak restaurant.
Staff who really know their stuff and a place I’ll keeping going back to.
Amazing steaks, amazing service!
The quality of the meat is superior and they it is presented makes you feel even more satisfied. Good wine list as well.
Everything was good, we was very happy to eat here. Will definitely come back
Made a reservation, got there and they did not have a table available. They put my at the counter next to the open flame grill (which was extremely hot). Then they forgot about me. I was moved a few chairs down where it was still warm but not as hot. Ordered food and waited almost an hour for it to arrive. (When they say they give 2 hours per table, it is because that's about how long it takes to get your food). The chef sent a side dish as an apology for the long wait. The couple next to me had a long wait as well and was given the same side dish. I noticed she did not eat some of her steak due to how raw it was. Mine was good but not at the level that I expected for the price I was paying. I asked for water and never received my request. I was also there for a special occasion which was noted on the reservation. Which they did not see. All in all, there are better restaurants in the Dublin (Temple bar area) that are much better and not as expensive. This has the potential to be good but not there yet.
Beautiful food, excellent service, lovely location... couldn’t ask for more!
Steaks were amazing... everything we ate was brill.
Definitely recommend a visit, we'll definitely be going back!
The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was quick and the food was spectacular.
Would highly recommend
Excellent service, the staff insists that everything is perfect ! High quality meat !
Best food ever, service very good, thank you Ian and all chefs including Bogdan to look after us, much appreciated
Good steaks with excellent service. Als the wine list is inviting for a good bottle of wine.
We were 25 minutes late for our reservation & they gave our table away so bad start to the night. They said they could still accommodate us, but put us at a small table in an awkward place that was clearly the worst table in the restaraunt. My starter was very good. I had the ceveche. For my main course, I had the filet which was initially undercooked. After a refire it was only marginally better. The outside was charred but still undercooked. It was also very chewy. My husband was very happy with his steak & I've included a pic. Our server Yann was top notch!!
FANTASTIC!!! Best steak we have ever eaten.
Great atmosphere with amazing staff.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We booked for a Christmas lunch, we were presented with a set menu we knew. I thing about. There were no other options. We had small starters, our steak was over cooked and even when I told the waiter he seemed pretty uninterested. The place was almost totally empty at 2pm on the Saturday before Xmas so there was zero ambience.
Great atmosphere and service. Good really good though I thought my steak was there instead of med-rare but still really tasty.
Decor and menu are good - disappointing the server did not recommend the daily special that we only saw on the board after our meal and I was quite disappointed as I would have ordered it. My main was not served as requested and no effort was made to adjust this. The steak was overcooked. Flavor was good, however. Siders are all very rich and when we asked for the Brussel sprouts to be served with no butter it was not accommodated. My sister is Lactose intolerant so she was not able to eat them.
Food tasted good but sides were very small for the price. All in all the food was nice it would be better to have slightly more generous sides as most restaurants would have enough for 2 in them. To be honest I think our server was just not very experienced and not great at her role.
Was recommended Tomahauk by a friend. She said it was pricey but worth it as excellent food and drink and fantastic service so we went for a special occasion. Great atmosphere with a full restaurant at 5pm. They have lovely touches like showing you the type of steak on the menu before you order and overall the service was efficient and courteous. The sides were tasty and the drinks were very enjoyable. We would like to go back.
Pretty good overall....kitchen nearly caught fire but the steak was great, which we came for....traffic was manic so we were slightly late, which meant we were rushed towards the end....in fairness that was our own making.
But I’d definitely try again. Bit pricey. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive 7.5/10
Class spot for steak fans, great selection of meat, starters and mains. class service, will definitely go back.
Beautiful food, great service! I'd love a better bet selection though.
Recommended by a friend, menu not massive but decent selection. Steak options very good. Food was fantastic, steak cooked perfectly and the sides where delicious
