We have spent months researching where to source the best steaks from around the world and the results of that exploration is there is no better beef than Irish and we are proud to say that we serve only the market-best at Tomahawk.
Tomahawk has 80 delightful seats for you and your party to choose from. We have comfy corners matched with matte timber tables adorned with leather seats, where diners can enjoy their delicious meals under the ambient street lighting that pours in from above. Or you can choose to perch comfortably along the gorgeous timber dining bar set around our open kitchen and watch the theatre of a professional kitchen at work in front of you.
Lovely restaurant with the most amazing steaks, perfectly cooked. A tip for the ladies would be to share a steak as not only are they very well cooked they are enormous and I was, for the first time, defeated as I could not fit in another morsel!
The wine menu had limited descriptions of the wine which made it hard to choose especially when our server did not seem to be educated in recommending the right wine so it would be nice to either see a better wine menu or better trained servers in this area.
Of all the places you can have a steak in Dublin this is the best! The service is truly top of the line and the food is worth a drive to get there! What looks like a 1930's New York whiskey bar, nestled on the edges of Temple Bar. A must for steak lovers, and food lovers a like.
Family get together. Really nice dishes. Very well presented. Will return again soon.
Great steaks - plenty of choice of cuts and the meat was of real quality. Staff knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Bit low on atmosphere but it was a Tuesday night that we visited.
Was excellent-no complaints
Slightly expensive but it is steak in Temple Bar-one of the only decent places to get a steak in Temple Bar
I had scallops to start and fillet steak for main, the food was flawless. However the service was poor and we were left for long periods without water or drinks
Over all a decent choice, would recommend. Child friendly and reasonably good value.
We enjoyed our meal in Tomahawk as a party of 6. The food was very good. We were disappointed at the end to see we were charged €20 for water that was being refilled into a bottle by staff without knowing it was being added to our bill. Overall a good experience otherwise.
Wonderful food. We have the most amazing Steak with the yummiest sides. Lovely wine and great company. The service was swift and pleasant. Top notch
Absolutely outstanding food I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.
Service was excellent and even brought the different cuts of meat to the table to explain the difference.
Good restaurant, nice ambience, staff are fantastic, I found the smoky flavor from the charcoal burning grill a little overpowering and took away from the quality of the steaks. Also, the Bearnaise that came with my steak was very pretty to look at but didn't really taste of anything. Overall a very good night and I would be happy to return but there are some basic issues I would expect to be fixed for the price you are paying.
Superb food! Excellent service and good wine selection
fabulous steaks , incredible service good value for quality food
Been here several times. It’s excellent. One of *the* places in Dublin for a steak. A fine restaurant.
The food, drinks, and service were all excellent. However, the only issue was the ambient temperature in the restaurant. It was hot. The staff informed us that the AC was on the coolest setting. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and I will definitely return.
Had a late lunch/early dinner last Sunday. My wife and I went there for the signature dish: the Tomahawk steak to share. It was delicious, beautiful presented and well accompanied by sides. We share also a recommended started and was delicious as well. We share also a bottle of good Italian wine and a great dessert. A stunning experience, we do really recommend them and we look forward to come back to Dublin to enjoy another superb meal over there.
Outstanding melt in the mouth fillet steak,I’ve been to many 5 star restaurants around the world and your steak is hard to beat
Probably the most tasteless steak ive had, very very dissapointed we all were, wine was terrible. House wine. 46 euro. Desert i wanted they ran out of and the one i got looked like it came from iceland grocery store. Fx buckley is miles ahead
This place is outstanding. Slightly expensive, but worth every penny! I would highly recommend.
Excellent food and excellent service. Would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a great steak dinner to visit tomahawk. ..you will not be disappointed.
Hubby and I met a fellow Aussie traveller there for a last hurrah!
Service was exceptional. Wine was delicious and our meal was lovely. Hubby and I shared the Tomahawk for 2. Beautiful cut of meat, great flavour but just slightly a bit underdone for us., understandably so as it was a large cut but still very delicious. Broccoli and the cauliflower accompaniments were cooked very well with lovely flavours.
Enjoyed the whole evening. Just felt we were waiting a long time between starter and main. We ordered the tomahawk. Felt it would be a while to cook. But we could see it sitting under the heat. We were waiting I'd say close to 45 minutes or more between courses. But otherwise absolutely no issues. Would recommend to anyone if they love steak.
The restaurant is downstairs and that has it advantage in a busy neighboorhoud like temple bar. It has the perfect atmosphere for enjoying a good meal. Very friendly staff and they know how to make the perfect steak. e had a perfect lunch there. Top ! Very easy booking wit opentable
Lovely setting and a comfortable enviroment suiting all occassions, attentive staff an very warming, as a massive steak lover i was very excited to have the meal there but was massively disappointed with the food don't think i got what i paid for.
Excellent dinner with a friend during our holidays. Spectacular meat and desserts.
Had the pleasure of eating here with my husband & daughter for a special birthday dinner and I really couldn’t say enough about the place! The ambience, the decor, the friendly vibrant staff all set the scene for what was the nicest steak/meal I have EVER eaten!! It certainly won’t be that cheapest place you’ll ever eat but worth every penny for a special occasion! I’ll be going back!
Steak cooked to perfection. Sides and drinks to match. Will definitely be back.
Celebrating friends engagement
We were recommended this place by a friend from Dublin, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Best steak I’ve had in years. Friendly, helpful service and fantastic food in great location. Well worth a visit for anyone visiting Dublin.
The steak is always great and the atmosphere is really good. One thing is the wine list, it seems they put the wine one list but always out of stock or not available.
Eines der besseren Restaurants der Stadt mit qualitativ sehr gutem Fleisch, der Service ist sehr professionell und bemüht. Die Beilagen und Saucen haben sehr faire Preise.
Great place. Great service. Great food. Alot of people giving out in their reviews of the steak being tasteless, try it with chips or their amazing bacon & onion mash. Quality food and would highly recommend.
Hands down the best steakhouse in Dublin. Service is one of the most efficient and friendly I've ever seen, the wait staff are fab. Steaks are incredible. Need I say more?!
Great food but pepper sauce was watery and tasteless.
2 scallops for starter not acceptable needs to be at least 3.
Apart from that loved it
Steak and Service Top
Too shelf, perfect as always. Excellent food, brilliant preparations, and extraordinary service
Although the service was very good and the interior of the restaurant very nice, the prices were a bit more than we expected. We probably could have found an equally good steak at a better price.
Me and a mate were in the mood for a good steak and stumbled across Tomahawk. Food and cocktails were great. I got the Delmonico cut! Very tender!
The Thomhawk was not as i expectet after eating in Miller & Carter in Manchester. I was really disepointed.
