   This is our 3rd time to this restaurant - yesterday the experience was not good. The service was poor and food was ok - pricey though.

   Let me put it this way…we flew 2441 miles (each way) to come dine here. Truly. We came two nights in a row and dined on the world’s finest lobster ravioli, exquisite salad and calamari appetizer. Outstanding service, wine selection and ambiance make it our favorite Italian spot in Boston.

   Been here many times over the years but this time was disappointing. Calamari was tough and only included the body. Cacio Pepe had a burnt flavor. How did this go wrong? Table felt like it was in the middle of an aisle, even though we had made reservations. Cocktail was great. Service was good. It made me sad to see their food slipping. It's a staple in Boston. On a positive note, the waitstaff was diplomatic and hard working.

   The service was horrible. We waited for over 15 minutes before any worker came to us. I had to flag them down for someone to come to the table. Food portion was small, very small. The table was wobbly and couldn’t be seated elsewhere when there was 80% open tables. Bar was rowdy with drunk people.

   Celebrating our daughter’s 12th birthday, they never acknowledged it. We had a lunch reservation, it was not busy. Servers/busers pushy for order and meals came right after the appetizer, before we could even eat more than a bite of the app. Didn’t feel like what we expected for a celebratory lunch in the North End. Costly, and honestly food was not as good as we had hoped either.

    While the food was good, the service was terrible from beginning to end: We had to ask who our server was to get someone to pay attention to us We asked cocktails and a shared appetizer , the appetizer came before our cocktails (?) Then our main course came as we were half way on our appetizer ( and maybe a third on our cocktails ). And we had tiny table where everything had to be cramped. As soon as we say we didn’t want a dessert ( but barely half on our second drink), they brought the bill (we hadn’t asked for it). We felt rushed all the time (our total stay was ~1 and 5 minutes. Definitely not a place to recommend !

    Honestly such a good place to have amazing pasta. Reminds me of my mama’s pasta dishes. The staff there are super lovely and the food was outstanding! Overall, such a pleasing experience I had.

    Our party arrived on time for our reservation but was told that our table wasn’t ready and asked us to come back in ten minutes. We then checked again and it again wasn’t ready. The front-desk people were a bit rude and didn’t apologize at all for the table issue. It was noisy and cold inside maybe because our table was by the door. The food was okay but not really worth the price.

    Trattoria food is always pretty good, however noticed the quality of service and ambiance has diminished. You feel rushed in your experience and I noticed some odd smell the two times I’ve been recently. Bar area is much nicer so opt for that section if you can!

    My moms 70th and I don’t mind loud but obnoxiously loud downstairs. Large group already well on their way. Booked a 430pm table and had our 7 year old. The yelling and f bombs from the table next to us was horrific and the table behind is loud and talking about their sex position preferences. Didn’t have dessert just wanted to get out of there. Also, very rushed.

    We had a large reservation and they accommodated us even after we added on two more people last minute on a Saturday night. We had some out of town family for my daughters bridal shower. The service and food were excellent!! There were 13 of us and everything was prompt , hot and delicious from drinks to appetizers to entrees! Can’t wait to go back! Thank you to the staff, management and servers for a job well done and a memorable positive pleasant experience!!

    Quick and efficient, yet not rushing the diners. Pasta was fantastic. Waitress attentive to all our needs, great personality. Will definitely be coming back next time we visit Boston.

    My daughter and shared several appetizers and an order of pasta. The charcuterie board was lovely: prosciutto, mortadella, capicola, salami, two wedges of cheese, olives. The stuffed zucchini flowers were delicious, the Boston Bibb salad was simple and light, just what we wanted. And then the ravioli porcini was divine. Only 5 large ravioli but it was so fabulously rich that those were enough. Save some bread for dipping in the amazing black truffle cream sauce, you won’t want to waste a drop. We were seated on the enclosed patio (March) which was - meh. Steep cant to the patio makes sitting on the downhill side a little bit of a challenge. Inside definitely had more ambience. We’ve sat inside before and my daughter likes watching the kitchen at work. Have eaten here on 4 or 5 trips to Boston now. Each pasta we’ve tried has been deliziosa.

    I really loved the ambiance and the service was great. Sadly the food was not great and my wine was horrible. It tasted like it had been watered down. We read poor reviews but thought we would give it a shot. I wish I had listened to the reviews but at least the service was good and it wasn’t super loud or crowded.

    We went for lunch and ordered from the Boston restaurant week menu. While the selections were limited, neither my wife or I had any trouble finding things to order. The food was delicious. Our server, Antonella, was fantastic and made our lunch especially nice.

    We had a wonderful Anniversary dinner. The portions were generous and the food was served hot. The spaghetti carbonara was amazing. The wait staff were friendly and efficient. The tables are close and the noise level reflected that on a Saturday evening. It was not louder than other restaurants in town. We will definitely be back.

    It was just a factory. They don't seem to care about under flavored food, or an atmosphere you can enjoy food in. They know they can fill the table so the quality of the restaurant doesn't seem matter to them.

    Both of our pasta dishes were amazing - the carbonara and the ragu. The service was attentive even if a bit gruff. Would absolutely come here again in the future anytime I am looking for pasta!

    Made a reservation and ended up with a table downstairs against the fire door wall which wasn’t ideal for ambiance. Not a huge deal Would have preferred upstairs dining area . Service was very good and overall food was very good . Salmon was over cooked but tasty . Cocktails were very good too. Tablecloth was ripped and shelf next to our table could have used a cleaning . Next time we’ll go for the location around the corner as that atmosphere is nicer and cleaner … and I’ll stick to the homemade pasta which is always very good .

    The dish I had was absolutely phenomenal. It was so delicious with the way the mushrooms and truffle sauce mingled. It went perfectly with the red sangria that I had as well.
