   Had a wonderful lazy tea with my girls and hubby. The large board was sooooo good and service as always friendly and attentive. Got to say one of the best places on the sunshine nipped inside when the sun went down. Love the decor and had a cheeky cocktail too love true loves ❤️

   Really lovely food, I pre-ordered & sent a follow up amendment however this wasn’t acknowledged and I ended up paying for extra food. Two of the party were ill and therefore couldn’t attend so my bill was £30 instead of £10. Not the restaurant fault however attention to detail lacked on the communication side.

   An amazing restaurant and great food, staff was amazing but would be nice to have some alone time as they can be quite friendly ( I have social anxiety so can be quite overwhelming) but overall would come back

   I booked this restaurant based on Tripadvisor rating and reviews. We were skeptical when we arrived as we were sat in the bar area as opposed to the restaurant. Anyway overall it was great and the chap that served us couldn’t do enough for us. He was helpful, friendly and efficient. The menu was limited - ok if you like pizza and charcuterie boards, which we do, so it was lovely. Great choices of pizza and really good. Would recommend this place and the staff. Thank you

    Absolutely fantastic place. The food was amazing and the service was second to none. We shared a cheese and meat board and one of the best pizzas. We also enjoyed a flight of white wine as recommended by the waiter. We will definitely be back. Thank you

    Came here for my Mum's birthday. There was five of us in total. We decided to spending 3+ hours just grazing on the food and wine - the way to do it here! Staff were very helpful and polite. The food and wine is of good quality. There is a good selection of moderately priced but good quality wine, with the option of choosing 3 wines as part of a wine flight - choose a pre-decided flight or mix-and-max to make your own (try the 'orange' wine if it is on!). We had the meat+cheese boards, dirty fries, pizza, and fried dough dessert- not all at once, but rather bit by bit to graze of as a group over our sitting - the quality was incredible and portion sizes were good to excellent for the price overall. I'd recommended the place to friends before I had even left. I will certainly be returning!

    Staff were lovely and helpful. Food was delicious, especially the Sheffield forge cheese. Cocktails were a little too fragrent for me. Interior was nice. The biggest downfall was that I had to keep my jacket on because it was too cold. Would visit again in the summer and enjoy sitting outside.

    Perfect place to visit with the family! You can tell the ingredients they use here are top notch and the pizza and chips were all delicious. Staff were attentive and recommended a delicious Sauvignon and the kids were happy which is always a big plus!! Highly recommend the large cheese and meat board and goats cheese pizza. 10/10

    We went for New Year’s Eve, the staff were lovely but clearly understaffed - table wasn’t set until after food came to the table, which would not usually bother us but for nye seemed poor. Arrival Prosecco also didn’t come until we asked again for it - as soon as we sat down we were told the owner and his family had come in for food so service might be a bit slow. The ambiance wasn’t great and I presume he was the owner had the dj turn on the strobe light right above our table which made it quite uncomfortable to sit there.

    Really good meats and wine, pizza was good. Ambiance was ok, pretty quiet when we were there. Service was good when we first arrived but then they pretty much disappeared, forgot to take our mains order and we had to go to the bar in the other room to ask for the bill. I think we’d go again though and try one of their experience menus, it is really nice. But next time I think I’ll just keep nipping I to the other room to ask for stuff instead of just waiting.

    Incredible food, we love to support local independent businesses, it was made even more special knowing true loves do the same! Everything is locally sourced from Yorkshire or made in house. The sharing platter is amazing, so many fresh tasty items. The service is impeccable! Such friendly helpful staff, we shared a pizza and a sharing board. I was also tempted at ordering some loaded fries so asked the waiter how much food he’d recommend for 2. He said a pizza and large sharing board would be enough. Even more kudos to this restaurant for being genuine and not trying to add extra to the bill! The atmosphere is chilled, music at the right level, it was really busy especially outside with the heaters on but still felt very relaxed even on a Friday night. This is sure to be a regular for this foodie couple! Thank you

    Very strong smell of drains throughout the venue. Staff tried to cover the bad smell with a toxic smelling perfume spray that was more pungent than the drains. Food and service was below par. The location was nice, but the restaurant wasn’t great. Such a shame, hope things pick up for them!

    First time we've been, but it won't be the last, had a fantastic time, food and drink was great, loved the wine flights. Had beautiful weather and a great view of the canal, even though it was very busy the service was excellent, definitely worth a visit.

    When I booked, I didn't realise how limited the menu was, but was not a problem at all as the pizzas are fantastic including the vegan one, and the loaded fries, excellent, nice cold draft peroni and great service, nice extras available to order too such as olives, just ice cream for dessert, but I had a lovely Irish coffee, love the setting and atmosphere, feels friendly and a different experience from other places in the city, worth seeking out, only open part of the week though

    We had a lovely family meal at True Loves. We haven't been before but will no doubt be back. The atmosphere is great, with really friendly and helpful staff. It's great to see a menu full of local produce and the quality was excellent. We had the charcuterie board and pizzas, accompanied by the recommended wine flights - all really tasty stuff!
