   We had a fabulous dinner last night! My sea bass was the best I’ve EVER eaten. Compliments to the chef!!! As always, the service and food were above any restaurant in ATX. Looking forward to dining at the new location soon.

    We just celebrated our 20th anniversary at Truluck’s. This is where I took my wife for our first date in 2001, and where I proposed roughly two years later. We were seated at the best table in the house, and our server Sean took care of us like we were his only table. The food and ambience were both top shelf. I cannot say enough good things about our experience and hope others give Truluck’s downtown the opportunity to serve them for similar occasions.

    From the moment we entered this beautiful restaurant we were made to feel welcomed by all staff members. Our server, Dana, was fantastic. The food was delicious, especially the stone crab claws!

    Another year celebrating our anniversary with a friend. The food was outstanding. We started with drinks. I had the Old Fashioned and my friend had a signature drink (name escapes me) with vodka, raspberry,and dry ice smoke. That was delicious and beautiful too. We started with the yeast rolls, which were hot and fluffy and coated with parmesian cheese. I had the crab cake, which was almost all lump crab meat. We all ordered salads. I tried the tomato salad, but it was just a huge tomato that was scored and slathered in dressing (I didn't care for it and sent it back, our very kind waiter removed it from our bill). My hubby had the wedge and friend had the green salad, and those were fine. For dinner we ordered scallops, branzino, and sides of spinach and mashed potatoes. Our friend is vegetarian and she had the (vegetarian) meatballs. All of the entrees were outstanding. The service was impeccable. For dessert they brought us a baked Alaska...that was sooo yummy! This is a great place to celebrate!

    As usual, the food was excellent. Unfortunately, the delivery and flow of food from the kitchen was not good. There were long, over 15 minute waits between courses. It was really a dissatisfier.

    It was our third visit to celebrate the anniversary of my son and his wife. The food was excellent, as always, and our servers were outstanding.     I made a reservation at Truluck’s to celebrate my birthday with some of my girlfriends. I was wanting a more sophisticated, upscale vibe. The ambience was perfect! We felt so catered to and relaxed. It was such an enjoyable experience for us. Several of Truluck’s staff approached our table throughout the evening and wished me a happy birthday, making me feel extra valued and special. One of the best birthday’s i’ve had!     Was excited to be here for the 1st time, only to be disappointed. The appetizer was excellent. Lobster bisque was good. Ribeye was overpriced and overdone (I've had better at home). Asparagus was still very crunchy, like it hadn't been cooked enough. Dessert was delicious. You would think for a $400 meal EVERYTHING should have been on point. It wasn't. 1st and last time coming.

    I grew up 25 minutes from the Louisiana gulf coast. I know fresh seafood. This was a phenomenal dining experience! The freshest seafood since I moved to ATX six years ago! We will definitely be back.

    I did buy the cheapest steak but it was definitely undercooked and had un eatable sinue running through it. My lobster tail was forgotten about so did not come out with the rest of the meal. The staff were very understanding and were very attentive. I would definitely spring for a more expensive steak next time.

    Started off well, very nice table on the glass, server came quickly and brought us waters with lemons,etc. Then started to go downhill, server didn’t come back to our table (after he mentioned having a partner that we never saw) until 25 minutes later to take our drink order, he seemed very rushed and it showed. Finally got drinks 45 minutes later. Salads were great, nice sized portions. Appetizer.. snow crab and oysters were amazing and on point. Lobster ravioli had one ravioli and the rest was mush, manager was very nice to remove from the bill. All other food was “so-so”. I guess we expected a much better experience there, but just wasn’t the case. I know it was busy because of valentines but would think they’d prepare better for that.

    This was our first time dining here, as it was our first time in Austin. It was such a lovely experience. The food was amazing and the ambiance was great. The staff were the real stars here, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.
