About

Uncle Julio’s is a Mexican from scratch kitchen serving only the freshest ingredients. Specialties: chicken & steak fajitas, tender filet mignon, and bacon wrapped shrimp. Other favorites include: seafood fajitas, shrimp al pastor, and ahi tuna served with homemade corn tortillas or bibb lettuce.

Uncle Julio’s menu also includes Tex-Mex classics such as tacos, enchiladas & tamales all with a selection of sauces made daily. Insider tip: order the tableside guacamole. It’s prepared for you at your table; if you like it spicy kick it up a notch with fresh chopped jalapenos.

Uncle Julio’s has a vast drink selection. Try our fresh margarita of the day, made to order with fresh fruit. If you prefer a frozen drink then the Swirl is definitely the perfect choice. The Swirl is frozen sangria & frozen margarita layered together dating back to 1987.

Food kind of bland but enjoyed our drinks and atmosphere. Service was just ok. You pay right at table and tip is preset at 20% so waiter asks are you good with that? Hard to say no.

The food and service were top notch, however; didn't like that I was charged for extra sour cream for my leftovers and then charged a surcharge for the containers as well.

My wife and I grew up in Fort Worth home of Uncle Julio’s. Living in NJ has been challenging to find great Mexican food. We went to Uncle Julio’s this week with friends and they did not disappoint. The restaurant and servers exceeded expectations. Guacamole was outstanding along with fajitas. Margaritas are the best. Will return soon.

Make sure you get instructions on how to pay the bill. I put my cc in the sleeve of the computerized payment tablet and never got it back. Basically it was stolen. I had to cancel the card that night and get a new one issued. It was a 3 ring circus there and the staff was completely and utterly inept!

We were very hesitant to go to dinner since it recently opened - we normally wait until the kinks are worked out. But I must say we were pleasantly surprised all around! We made reservations through a Open Table a week prior. When we arrived we checked in and got seated promptly to a nice booth! The service was fabulous, Jefe Margarita was delish and the complimentary chips and salsa were awesome! Everything is made fresh.
The dinner portions were a good amount. We for sure did not leave hungry! A definite must try!!!

Service was horrible, especially since she had no idea and gave us wrong information about my daughters gluten allergy. Manager had to take over our table because the waitress did not even check if we needed anything and my daughters food came when we were done eating, all she ordered was a kids cheese and chicken quesadilla! We will not be returning. Not worth it.

I have been to the Uncle Julio’s in Virginia and had loved it so much I was so excited to go to the one in Bridgewater! The Uncle Julio’s in Bridgewater impressed me for just opening up a couple weeks ago. I made a 6:45pm reservation on a Saturday evening and we had to wait about five minutes for our table. I noticed that as we waited for the table, the staff provided water and chips to those who had asked while they waited for their tables.

We sat down in a quaint booth and was greeted right away by the waitress. She took the time to explain Uncle Julio’s background and that everything is made fresh from the kitchen! We ordered the large guacamole and chips and it was amazing! It was nice to have it made right in front of us at the table. I ordered the pulled chicken tacos and filled up on my chips and guac so I ended up taking two of the tacos home! Everything I had was fantastic and like I said, very impressed with the staff, timing of getting our food and love that you can pay and split the check with the iPad type technology at the end. Would highly recommend!

I had steak and chicken fajitas and got only 3 small pieces of steak and 4 small pieces of chicken and not a lot of peppers and onions. It didn't come out sizzling like fajitas should. This was the first time I finished my meal and didn't bring home leftovers. I even had a tortilla left, because there wasn't any meat left. The beans were very good. The Chocolate Lovers Pinata was awesome, but for the price of the meal, I expected a lot more. If we go back, it will be for the pinata but not the food.

As a new restaurant I am hoping my feedback helps this restaurant establish itself successfully. First of all, the Dallas Fort Worth location is by far superior. It is a well functioning restaurant in terms of service, drink and food quality. The Bridgewater location could use improvement in the service, food and drink department. Service was lacking - unable to hear server, limited knowledge of menu, no requests for refills unless asked, etc. The appetizers were wonderful (chips, salsa, quac, queso). The fajitas were room temperature and not warm enough! We had 3 people eating fajitas and were not given enough tortillas which also were not warm enough. The fajitas were lacking in onions and peppers and the steak was not cooked evenly (some portions rare others well done) and the flavor was unnoticeable. The water has a terrible “city water” taste to it, it threw off the taste of the margarita. With greater attention to detail and food/drink quality there is room for this restaurant to excel.

Very average Mexican fare; not a great slew of vegetarian choices, use of iceberg lettuce is a general no-no, table side guacamole was good; noise is very high due to high crowds; not sure why there’s so much hype

The food was absolutely fantastic! Generous portions and tasty. Salsa soooo good as was table side guacamole. Highly recommend the honey chicken fajitas-has a little bit of a kick, but not too much to burn your mouth. Will absolutely return. Often!

Very nice place, friendly staff, but did not enjoy the food. My friend and I both got the chicken tortilla soup and tacos. Neither one of us enjoyed the soup. I ordered ground beef and my friend got chicken and steak tacos, they were all very dry and not much taste. It was disappointing. :(
