Union Kitchen was nominated for Restaurant of the Year: Hartford County by the Connecticut Restaurant Association in 2023. In a space that formerly housed a speakeasy, the ambitious restaurant combines New American cuisine with a world class beverage program.

FOOD
Union Kitchen serves seasonal American cooking from Chef Tim East. In addition to the a la carte menu, the restaurant offers a 3 course and 5-course tasting menus with optional wine pairings.

BEVERAGE
Led by general manager & sommelier Vish Badami, Union Kitchen was voted best wine list in Connecticut by CT Magazine 2023 and is the recipient of Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence for 2022 & 2023. The restaurant has over 450 spirits including the state's largest collection of amari. Cocktails are crafted by bar manager MeKayla Roy.

Made reservations for three We come for the gluten free items The timing of food was ok but a little far apart due to number of people The salmon was a little off flavor with olives ;( The pork belly was assume The duck was good and so was the steak Overall good but loud and a little slow

Went here for my friends birthday! We ate outside and the server was so nice and attentive. Everything was so delicious and love the cereal milk drink. They even gave us a little treat for her birthday. We had the French toast, eggs, and fingerlings. So delicious

The staff is very efficient and friendly. The food is both creative and well executed, appealing to the eye and the palate. The wine selection is the main focus for me. It has a broad selection of bottles expertly curated by the sommelier and served by a very knowledgeable staff. You must go.

We have had brunch here many times. Yesterdays brunch was meh. Three of us had the lobster omelette and it was meh. Very fishy smelling and tasting. I had this several times before and it was delicious. I am not sure why we didn’t send them back. The others enjoyed their brunch entrees.

3 of 4 main dishes very good, 4th was ok. Appetizers very good. Overall I’d say it was improved from my last time there a couple of years ago.
