    At Van Winkle, Barrowlands we are delighted to launch our ‘Guinness Pod’ in conjunction with Guinness Raising The Bar. Installed with your own heater and lighting, this is a cosy pod for you and your friends to enjoy in our Van Winkle beer garden. Included in this package is 4 or 6 of our classic burgers served in a brioche bun with Van Winkle sauce, gherkins, shredded lettuce and served with fries, 2 sides of onion rings and a pint of Guinness for every guest. *Guinness can be substituted for a pint of Tennent’s upon request.

    Van Winkles is a little gem. Took the kids, and the dog, and the husband out for his birthday. Their chicken and waffles are, quite simply, food that makes my soul happy. The little one loved her Mac and cheese and the grown ups ate more chicken wings, tenders, and loaded fries than should be allowed. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and like the kitchen take pride in what they do. Even the dog loved his chicken and pasta. Already hungry for our next visit.

    Like a bunker on the outside, stripped back to the brick inside, Americana on the walls. Good beer, good food, good service. Bloody freezing though.

    Love this place just nice to relax in and hear yourself think, has had to make some changes to make money but all in all still 10 out of10 and no football which is great, staff brilliant, always make u feel like one of the family which prob am as always love going so they know us quite well Dickson family

    Server was attentive. Food and drink fine. Quite cold in the restaurant and the bathroom was even colder, however, it was a really cold night.

    A wonderful meal although the waffles and ice cream never appeared but were still on the bill. Overcharged for extra cheese on burger. Suggestion was the menu price was wrong. All a bit disappointing after such a great meal. Will be back though. Tacos and wings were ace.

    Arrived at half 5 two adults and two dogs for dinner. Greeted at the door, shown to our table, and then taken through the whole experience via table service. Place was fairly quiet at half 5 but by the time we left the place was filling up well. Service was good, food quality also top notch. The place was warm and welcoming for us humans and our quiet dogs.

    Great find in the East end of Glasgow. Chilled atmosphere, good food and fab selection of cocktails. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We had the chillie cheese dog and the classic cheeseburger and they didnt disappoint. Well worth a visit.

    The place was great, couldn't give a single fault. Was given the option of where to sit and had pick of the place. Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough from greeting us and my dog to accommodating gluten free options as well. Will definitely be returning!

    Food was excellent - a very varied menu. Service was also first class, we were never kept waiting at any point. They were also very attentive to my friends dog and brought out a bowl of water on arrival for her - it was a VERY hot day. Highly recommend this place, especially handy for pre gig food & drinks if you're going to the Barras.

    Staff were great , we went (5) before the cancel guns and roses gigs , and played they’re music which was a nice touch , food was very nice . Drinks were quickly brought to table , would go again !

    Great food, great service. They had the builders in so the toilets were being refurbished but that was the only down side. Both the chilli burger and the pulled pork sandwich were delicious, although the plates were on the small side and chips kept falling off. We asked for a slight change to the pulled pork sandwich (different bread roll) and it was accommodated with no problem. Highly recommended if you fancy good bbq food. Great selection of beers, cider etc as well

    Staff were friendly and service was great. Food was delicious. Someone in our company is the fussiest eat I know and he really enjoyed the macaroni and chips
