   Fish was soggy, chicken was dry, salad was a mound of lettuce with very few berries and nuts. We were excited to try this restaurant, but left very disappointed.

   The ambience and vibe is very beautiful! Our server was fantastic. Extremely nice and just a great server. The food? Very very bland and just fell flat. We got the calamari as an app, salmon and scallop dishes as our mains. The mash that came with my salmon was cold. The calamari was chewy and just tasted fried? Nothing spectacular. I’d go for a drink, but would not stay for the food.

   The service was horrible. There seemed to be several workers… but no service! The staff kept disappearing into the back… but I’m not sure what they were doing. The whole experience was chaotic and confusing. The food wasn’t horrible… but it wasn’t great- Plus, it was cold. Drinks were good and the bartender (from Boston) was nice. Maybe he should take over as manager because this place needs some help. Also, there was a woman with an IPAD who was very rude- not sure of her function except to make guests uncomfortable. We weren’t the only ones noticing these discrepancies. The group next to us could be overheard complaining. This is all very unfortunate because the space is beautiful. I will NOT be going back to vessel.

We were incredibly busy the morning you dined as our outside patio space was incredibly full as well as our indoor space. I do recall there being a snafu at the door with seating for your group. Full disclosure, I was short two servers and a host that morning on top of being busy so I'm really sorry you were negatively impacted. We will be working on improving these issues to ensure this doesn't happen to future guest.

    It was only okay. The meal was definitely underwhelming. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Would not recommend. Also, there's was a kids menu on Mother's Day but the restaurant did not have kid friendly seating options.

My new Chef De Cuisine and I have some tricks up our sleeve in the coming months to improve the food menu. We hop should you decide to try us again, you see the fruits of our efforts. We offer a kids menu on Mothers Day because we want Moms to feel like they are welcome here, however we are aimed towards a more adult drinking establishment as half of our main restaurant is a bar.

    This was Mothers Day Brunch. My wife’s filet was over cooked. She had to send it back. The second filet was properly cooked. The bacon in her spinach was over cooked.

    On a normal day the whole experience probably would have been fine. Mother’s Day was a disappointment. From sit down to paying the bill it was a drawn out 3 hours. It took 45 minutes after we sat for anyone to speak to us and bring water to the table. We didn’t get our meal until an hour and half in. Another 45 minutes til we got dessert only after reaching out to the manager. Some staff were very helpful, others made it clear they weren’t happy to be there. I work in hospitality and strongly believe that if you can’t pull it off, just close up for the day and let staff enjoy time with their families. I rarely feel the need to write a bad review, but we felt like we wasted $600 on an average meal and overall frustrating experience.

I had us planned out with enough coverage , but we ended up being short staff day of due to scheduled employees not reporting to work.     Pre-Mothers Day dinner didn’t disappoint. Super chic and welcoming restaurant that just has all the vibes. We sat on the patio, even with the termites, it was exceptionally great and we enjoyed our time. Servers were phenomenal and kept us entertained and engaged with what Vessel had to offer. Need a boujee dinner with a side of fun? Then this is your place. 10000/10 would recommend

    The atmosphere was good and we always like going there. For some reason the food was not as good as it has been in the past. I was a little disappointed as we brought my mom there who was visiting from out of town for an early Mother's Day dinner.

    Food was ok. Liked the cheese board most but it was small. Service was slow. Our cheese board was the appetizer and took over 40 minutes to arrive. Cool atmosphere though as it’s an old Lutheran church.

    I ordered the salmon and it was that perfect almost crisp on the outside and beautifully moist on the inside. The meal was fantastic and the space is unique and comfortable. It was a great night.

    Cool concept in a church but the food was average at best and the service was indifferent to our presence. And we were the only ones there for the first thirty minutes. They could improve many things.

    Servers were mostly absent and appeared to be under the influence of various drugs when they came to the table. They were very disorganized consistent with not paying attention to patrons and asked us what was going on at our table and other tables multiple times during our TWO HOURS there. We waited over 30 minutes after finishing our food and drinks to approach the bar and ask for a check.

I reviewed camera footage and saw your server check on you and then 15 minutes later you approached the bar regarding the check. He passed by your table one more time in that time frame. Granted I would prefer a little more presence in their stations, they were actively serving a large table outside and running food to other guest as we have staff shortages. Drug abuse is a serious accusation. At no point did my staff appear intoxicated to me.

    The food was boring and the enthusiasm of our waitress did not make up for her incompetence. 20 minutes to get drinks for a table of two. Appetizer was cold, and the shrimp cakes and salmon were uninspired.

    Way under staffed, waitress seldom around, charged twice for 1 bottle of Champagne and had to plead with manager for a refund after the original bill didn’t have bottle on it because I paid for it at the bar. But it magically appeared on my bill after the credit card was charged

I do recall going to your table with your refunded check in hand and apologizing about the issue with the bottle and the miscommunication.     Took longer to get our food than expected because they ran out of biscuits. I guess they were extra busy due to Jazz Fest weekend. Once they told us why our food was taking so long, we told them to just serve the other brunch items. They delivered the biscuits as we were finishing our meal. I’m happy to say it was well worth the wait. We will be back. Great atmosphere inside and outside on the patio.

    The food WILL take forever. Also you are sitting next to people at tables. The middle aged women to the right of us kept staring and whispering with a hand to “hide” their mouth. Was very odd nonetheless the food was bland and dry and took ages to get to us. The restaurant itself was pretty but that’s all. I recommend to come for drinks at the bar not food.

    We love going to Vessel when we are in NOLA. The setting is so different and charming and the noise level is quiet while still feeling lively. Everyone loved the food, especially the fresh fish. And I can't say enough about how wonderful the service is - efficient and incredibly friendly.

    Vessel over promised and under delivered with their "Brunch with the Baroness" - no mention at all from the wait staff of the Baroness or her fascinating story, nothing special tied to the brunch menu at all. The blueberry waffles were outstanding, but everything else was mediocre at best. Hollandaise sauce was watery and flavorless, egg yolks were more raw than runny, everything was cold. We sent one benedict back. Cocktails were decent, but everything is overpriced. Disappointing.

    Appetizers were good (cheese board, crab dip), dessert was OK (chocolate cake, crème brûlée). 5 diners, only shrimp cakes were good. Salmon was horrible (taken off the bill), scallop risotto had no truffles ( was listed on menu) and had a peculiar burned taste, one scallop completely under cooked. Steak au poivre was dry. One star for appetizers( the crab dip, anyway) and one star for the waiter who tried very hard and apologized for our meal. Nearly $400, we had drinks, but for quality of food way overpriced. Had not been here since it was the old Christian’s, which was a great and beautiful place, for food and atmosphere. Vessel is a “pub”, with long community dining tables and a boisterous drinking crowd. Mediocre to bad food. We sat outside with the termites, at least it was quiet. No, won’t go back and can’t recommend.

We realize those are big shoes to fill and we won't be for everyone. We did remove your Salmon and the desserts that you had were also provided complimentary due to the issues with your meal. I unfortunately cannot completely control what wildlife guest are exposed to outside. I do recommend if you do not prefer outside seating to next time book regular or high-top seating with us.

    Excellent! We arrived shortly after opening without a reservation. The hostess worked some magic and got us a table. We ordered oysters, and small plates. Every bite was memorable. Excellent service. Highly recommend!

    Ambience was full of character. Front of the house, the hostess was flat with no personality. Asked for a cab to be called for us and she responded "we don't do that ". We were taken aback especially after spending good money in their establishment. Server was good until he got busy with larger parties. The food was excellent flavours and cooking on point, our utmost compliments to the chef.

I will admit I do not think most of my staff even knows a cab companies phone number since uber and lyft is so prevalent in our city.
