Vintage Cocktail Club Ratings and Reviews
Great ambience and venue, great cocktails, however I ordered my steak "medium, well, more well than medium" it arrived very much more 'medium' than well
I was very, very hungry and began to eat by hiding the blood with the potatoe, I was finished before the waitress checked "is everything ok?"
Our waitress on the evening was absolutely amazing. The menu is quite extensive so for an undecisive person like myself, it was a bit overwhelming but the waitress just asked me what I like and suggested a few for me. She really knew her stuff. Super friendly too so made for a great night. We also made some friends in there at the next table so that was nice!
This is a cute place with an amazing selection of hand crafted cocktails. I like that they have a full menu as we ate dinner here as well. The staff is super friendly but they were understaffed the night we were there so at times getting there attention to order another drink etc, took a minute. The food was good and the drinks great and the prices are very reasonable. It was quiet enough that we could hear each other speak even though the restaurant was full and they have done a good job of making the tables feel intimate even when the place is full.
This place was not as advertised. The service is horrible- takes 20 min to get your drink & good luck trying to order a second one. The food is ok, nothing special- of note, they bring your entire order at once- starter & main courses & everything is crowded onto the tiny table. The atmosphere is chaotic, not relaxing at all. This place is great if you want to meet friends for one drink before going someplace good. The problem is the management, because there was only 1 waitress & 1 bartender handling all of the tables, which had about 50 folks sitting around them.
Awesome cocktail menu! If you like the "hidden bar" or "Speakeasy" venue, you will love the VCC. Don't misunderstand me, the food was good. But the ambience and cocktail menu were exceptional. The restaurant is behind a door with minimal marking and no door handle - ring the bell and wait for someone to allow you to enter. We were in Dublin for 4 nights. Had dinner here one night and enjoyed it enough to come back on another just for drinks. Definitely recommend the French 75 if you enjoy gin.
Overall had quite a nice experience. The food and drinks were great. The only issue of the evening was with some cocktails which were accidentally spilled by a member of staff onto myself and my girlfriend. Our drinks were replaced however other than this there was no acknowledgement by staff. I understand that this was an accident however I would have expected at least a complimentary drink or small discount for the inconvenience of being sticky and smelling like cocktails for the rest of the night.
I would still return as the rest of the experience was really enjoyable.
Our daughter told us about this amazing cocktail bar that was virtually unmarked. You need to know how to find it. The Home Depot style stickers that say "VCC" on the door are the best clue. Incredible cocktails list. Nice food options but we only had an appetizer, the olive and hummus plate as we had dinner plans already. Unquestionably worth a visit.
We had a great time at VCC, very relaxed, cosy atmosphere. We had brunch which was delicious and the cocktails were amazing. The cocktail menu is huge and it took us about 20 mins to read through it all. Our waitress was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the cocktails. She was happy to give us some advice on which cocktails were good ones to go for based on our tastes. There is no sign outside that the place even exists and you have to ring the door bell to be let in, fantastic place! We loved it and will definitely return.
Awesome spot for some delicious drinks in a laid back vintage atmosphere. We sat in the main dining room but did venture up to the deck before we left. The drinks were strong and the food tasty. Service was great. They were attentive but not overbearing. I'll be back!
This place is like stepping back to a 30's speak easy. Amazing cocktail menu and handcrafted cocktails. Staff is very friendly and this place has amazing ambience. The door front only has VCC written on it and you have to ring the door bell. It is a great place to escape the crazy Temple bar area. Food was just ok but the cocktails are top notch!!
Very nice and cosy - I think it's better suited for a start to the night or an end to a night where you have a nice drink - the food is lovely though.
I wouldn't personally take a date there for dinner it's more I think for nibbles and drinks. And I wouldn't change the set up its great the way it is.
The service is fantastic I really like the fact that the staff know what drinks are what and also based on what you like they can get something for you that you will like.
I will continue to go to VCC I really like it.
I spontaneously booked a table in VCC as friends had been recently and had given great feedback. I had a colleague in work visiting and decided to bring her along to VCC. We were very impressed. The staff's knowledge of the cocktail list, and even when we asked where the duck parfait was sourced, they were only too willing to seek an answer.
The ambience was perfect, nice music and the chatter of conversations came together to provide a very relaxing, chilled atmosphere. I am going to be back.
The idea behind VCC is fantastic. It's like a secret hideout in the madness that is Temple Bar!
I absolutely loved the atmosphere with candles everywhere and ambient music.
Excellent service- friendly staff and prompt arrival of food.
The food and cocktails are expensive- it's a special occasion venue only in my opinion.
However, I booked for a group of 10 for a special occasion in June. I hope the atmosphere is just as good in peak tourist season!
Very disappointing place. Usually I’m not complaining, but there are my reasons:
1. Difficult to find
2. Interior like in the fallout movies (naked wires, nothing matches, cracked walls, old worn furniture)
3. Food is scantily and overpriced. You pay 13€ for 5 wings tasting like quick boiled chicken.
3. Overpriced cocktails (13€ for 50cl glass) nothing special, average taste.
