Everything was perfect. Great service, great food & of course the cocktails were excellent. Would love to see the servers in authentic 20s outfits as well. That would be wonderful.
Thanks for a great night
Great experience from start to finish; we booked a table for four for drinks only and would recommend doing so . Food looked great but, as noted, we were sampling only the cocktails which were all top-notch
Quirky place to surprise my sister with. The waitress was brilliant recommending cocktails to our taste when we didn’t know where to start. Great ambience. I’ve been there for drinks both times I visited Dublin and will make sure I book for next time too.
Note: we didn’t eat so that’s the only reason I selected 3 stars for food - it wouldn’t allow me to leave it blank.
On a solo trip in Dublin and a friend from home recommended VCC. So glad I made the time to visit. Sat at the bar and had two cocktails, app, entree and dessert. Went all in. The food was delicious and the cocktails were extremely interesting and well made. Bar seating was great - although kind of uncomfortable if you want to cross your legs. I had a wonderful server - probably the best service I’ve had on my entire trip (visited Paris, London, Dublin and Barcelona).
Fab venue, and very cosy. High quality cocktails, and our cocktail waitress Ann-Marie was a true asset - patient / knowledgable / fun / and stylish. We will return on our next trip. A hidden gem in Temple Bar. Thank you 💚
(Be sure to pre book , as it got busy).
The service this time was terrible. We were seated and then ordered drinks along with water. Two other tables were seated shortly after and their drinks arrived before our water did.
Then, after dinner I ordered a cheese tray, was ignored, then when asked where the cheese tray was; I was told the kitchen was closed.
Terrible service overall.
Great place, friendly stuff and amazing cocktails. Love that it's a hidden gem
Awesome private little bar. Top of the line cocktails with killer Duck Confit
This is my second time visiting this establishment and I feel it has gone down hill. I love the concept of it, knocking on a secret door and being led upstairs but that was really it. The bar is very understaffed and with the bar being booked out all the time its a long wait for people waiting on drinks.
The waitress didn't offer any help on the selection of cocktails which in a bar like that with a menu as long I feel the waitress should interact and recommend some cocktails. We ordered two rounds of drinks. The first round for me was very disappointing. For the price you are paying I would expect a little more. We decided to ask if they could do an expresso martini for us which was no issue but to be honest it wasn't even a great expresso martini. The fact you are paying 12 euro a pop for this and tip also because its table service I wouldn't say its worth it at all.
We have visited a similar establishment which is owned by the same company which is by far ten times better. Waiters are quick to help you out with what to drink because they know how extensive the menu us and they provide entertainment while making the cocktails too.
I feel VCC has gone downhill and are not making enough effort because their name is established in Dublin now. I have heard negative reviews about this place for the last few months. Don't think we will be back anytime soon.
the perfect place for a perfect moment ! cocktail are exceptional !! and a very very kind service !!
i hope we can go again in Dublin and tasting your place again :)
Really nice staff. Friendly and good service. Rooftop for smoking was fine, but could be cleaned more
Won't find better cocktails. Amazing space. Great food. <3 Go here.
A hidden gem in the centre of Dublin with an eclectic cocktails menu. Great ambience with an open top bar on the top floor. Knowledgeable bar staff who are more than happy to create new cocktail experiences for guests. An overall fab place to visit
Everything was brilliant, the secret door, the decor the ambiance. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Well worth the added service charge. Would definetly return
Lovely place that I've been visiting for several years. Really cool with excellent cocktails! Definitely best to book beforehand.
A superior setting. Crafted cocktails made with great care and imagination. Strongly recommend.
Went here at the weekend was fantastic, we had a waitress called Emily and she was amazing! She helped us pick the perfect cocktails that we liked and was really good and doing her job!
Totally loved it! The cocktails, waiters and overall experience.
Expensive cocktails but definitely worth the money!
Really great atmosphere with cosy tables with candles and nice relaxing music. Cocktails are too delicious to be true and the food is even better (you have to try the VCC cheese board). We were really impressed by everything but I think our favorite part was Emily. She's the best waitress ever and she's very knowledgable about the cocktails. I would definitely recommend going there.
Going to Dublin? Visiting VCC is a must, world class cocktails in a unique one-of-kind building. See AnnMarie, she will look after you like no other.
Great place for group of friends, cocktails were very good.. waitress was good at suggesting cocktails! Really loved the Dirty wizard cocktail! 😄 we didn't have food so can't rate that!
What a great experience. To be tucked away in the heart of the busiest part of Dublin in a amazing cocktail lounge. Makes you feel like you’ve discovered a private members only club and somehow gotten exclusive access. The only hard part of the evening was trying to decide on which signature cocktails to drink
I must admit, standing in front of that shabby door did throw me off for a second and my friend from out of town did ask me "are you sure this is the place?" in a very doubtful manner. But once we were inside, all reservation were replaced with excitement and awe. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff always attentive without ever being intrusive, the cocktails were a pricey but normal for Dublin and they all tasted great. We ordered a variety of drinks across the menu and were pleasantly surprised each time. Would highly recommend this if you are in a small group and looking for that little bit of extra in a more quiet and personal setting.
Fabulous and very welcoming
Had a lovely chat and shared ideas
Very good experience with a lovely waitress. I would more than gladly recommande the place.
we booked in for a two and a half hour slot for drinks. Took an hour before the waitress came to take our order in fact the people beside us had their food and drinks before our drinks order was even taken. Not the waitresses fault she was a lovely girl but appeared to be under a lot of stress having a whole floor to serve by herself.
The cocktails were amazing, expensive but absolutely fantastic however we had little time to drink very much as there wasn't enough staff.
Venue very nice décor and ambience.
We didn't eat, but the food looked good from what I saw. The cocktails are amazing and the staff are brilliant.
Nice, cosy vibe with candles and an old fashioned decor.
I booked to have an evening of cocktails with my partner for his birthday, I was recommended by a friend who has visited before and all I can say is I would 100% come again! The service was amazing to the point the lady made a cocktail she thought we may like and my partner didn’t so she changed it with no fuss! We were offered our original seat inside but as the weather was so lovely she seated us outside in the upstairs part which was partly covered and we stayed there all evening. We ordered some snacks to have with our cocktails and they were delicious.
Highly recommend! 5*
1st time going to VCC, great experience amazing cocktail. Staff very friendly helping us pick best cocktail... will be back for sure
Fantastic place. Recommended by a friend. I love that you need to know it is there, not inundated by passers by - especially being in TempleBar!
Excellent service in a quirky interesting venue. Definitely worth a visit. Make sure you book!
We had a booking for 7 on friday. We found the ambience and cocktails ( although a bit pricey) very good. However were massively put off by how our bill was managed. We each had two cocktails and one 9f our party ordered a beer for us all. She was told that was not allowed to pay for those beers but that it had to be put on the main bill which obviously was highly unusual and disappoint. When our final bill came- we were told it could not be split - which is also very inconvenient, so we paid one of out party and she paid for it on her card. The waitress then returned and told us she had made a mistake interchanged us by a large amount. Trying to rectify this between us was o viously very difficult and were not offered ant apology or even kind business gesture for a mistake on the part of our service. I'm afraid we left very annoyed and I doubt any of the group will return again. If these sort of mistakes are made I suggest you offer splitting the bill or at least some kind of goodwill gesture.
VCC was not completely hidden, but just unassuming enough to instill the speakeasy feel. The ambience is the perfect mixture of a low-lit, romantic restaurant and well, your granny's house. I mean this in the best possible way-- old fashioned and quiet, with a feeling of privacy, even when you're seated next to others. The cocktails are unique and interesting, and proved a good way to explore Irish spirits one may not have had the chance to try previously. The food portions were large for the value with high quality ingredients. Wonderful for a romantic night out or catching up with a small group of friends. Made for a memorable night.
Food recommendations: Antipasti board and beef cheek.
Such a wonderful experience at VCC. Loved everything about it. Gorgeous food and cocktails. The sevice was excellent, especially our waiter Emily. She was a credit to the place. Definitely be back.
The VCC is a gem , they have the best cocktails I’ve ever had and the food is also amazing. It is a quiet place with good music but not to loud so you don’t need to scream while chatting with your friends. The service was super good and the staffs was super friendly . I always recommend it to everybody that I know.
This cocktail bar was such a great little find. Had to ask for it’s location from a neighbouring shop. Definitely worth a trip there
Great ambience fun menu of cocktails nice service
Perfect quirky spot to wine and dine our friends from overseas. Staff were great, helped us navigate our way through the vast cocktail menu and made some fab recommendations! Thoroughly recommend.
We came here on a recommendation from a friend and we are so glad we did! Everything about this place was amazing, we really had a perfect evening! The minute you ring the door bell you feel like you have been transported back in time, the decor, the atmosphere, the music, not to mention the delicious cocktails and food, the service was incredible too, credit to our server, her knowledge on the many, many cocktails was very impressive. Loved it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Dublin or looking for something different, we will be back for sure.
