    Our first time there, bar staff was helpful & very knowledgeable there seemed to be a bit of a dispute going on with him & one of the ladies staff members I think it was around breaks we were out to enjoy ourselves,& really did t need to hear this taught it was very unprofessional.

    I reserved a table for me and my guests and we had a table on the terrace, even if it was closed and the hitting was on it was cold, also the table and chair very uncomfortable. I wish I had the table on the first floor since I did the reservation, it would have been great. If they told me where was the table located, I would have cancel the reservation and brought my guest somewhere else.

    I went here with a friend for a few drinks. It was lovely. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We didn’t have food on this occasion but the drinks were delish. It dropped a star because the seats weren’t very comfortable. They went with the decor but wouldn’t entice you to stay very long. Everything else was just right.

    Travelling from Cheshire for the weekend. This was booked (6.30pm) for a special mum/daughter birthday celebration specifically due to the over 23 age restriction and no parties as we wanted a a relaxing enjoyable evening of tapas-style food & a few cocktails rather than joining the rowdy crowds in the area. I really cannot say anything positive about this experience other than the gentleman preparing the cocktails having such a flair and passion. Having requested a table in a corner we had been allocated one at the top of the stairs (it wasn’t a last minute booking so surely something a little better could have been provided.?)Although I had expected a dimmed lounge ambience it was decidedly gloomy with few candles dotted around, so much so we couldn’t read the food/drink menus! Once a mobile light was put on it was quite apparent why-it wasn’t the cleanest of establishments! The food arrived and it looked like cheap pre-prepared frozen party food and tasted awful! So much so every dish I tasted ended back on the plate or in my napkin! I told my daughter not to eat it but by this time we were hungry so she ate a little of it. After a short time we asked for the bill and left as we didn’t want to stay in there any longer. Back at the hotel we both became violently ill. My daughter rang the club to let them know this and also emailed to advise not to continue to serve the food. I contacted the Vintage club the following afternoon once we had recovered sufficiently and was told the manager would reply to our email. Yes they did although I was not impressed with the response but at my request refunded the food and service charge (but not the one cocktail- that says it all doesn’t it) Although sometimes things can go wrong and don’t hold up to your expectations, this place has been marketed to be something it is not! If you want a few hours in a quirky dump of a cocktail bar with cheap nasty food this will not disappoint.

    We were just there for cocktails, but there’s nowhere better in Dublin for them. Diarmuid is an expert at his craft and good for a waffle to boot. He was making bespoke cocktails to suit our needs. Highly recommend.

    It was so smelly when we were in the bar. They should done something for that it was absolutely disgusting. Except for that food and cocktails were amazing.

    Really nice cocktails in cozy environment. Server helped us navigate all of the options and were really happy with the ones we had. There on a Sunday night so vibe pretty mellow, just the right thing for the hour.

    Very good first experience food drinks, the speak east experience was not very realistic, disappointing. The next time i would choose a better seating area as the seating in the middle of the floor was not comfortable.

    Very disappointing experience. Booked a table, confirmed the booking the day before. Missed a call from the restaurant two hours before the booking, called them back, no one answered, and they cancelled the table. After finally gettting them on the phone they rebooked for the same time but put us at a tiny table in the bar area…. Completely unsuitable for eating at. Waitress dropped two dishes because the table was so small. Service poor overall, food is just average pub grub, cocktails nothing special. Will not be back.

    Well ! Not what I was expecting . First of all the place is a challenge to find . There is a door with three letters on it and a door bell and that’s your lot ring the bell and wait for someone to come and let you in . Upon entry it looks like your entering a 1970 stairwell in your grandparents house . Upstairs through a door and your in your granny living room . Quaint and compact probably Simms it up . I was there with 2 work colleagues so we’re weren’t looking for cozy .The food menu was very limited and not what we were expecting I suppose as the name would suggest it was more about the cocktails than the food . A bit querky I suppose and maybe more of a call in for one than for dinner but hey ho it’s Dublin

    We really enjoyed VCC. I found it when looking for a cocktail bar and had no idea it was a “speakeasy” style place. The vibe was very cool and the furniture comfortable. The music was quite varied but just the right volume to allow conversation and not be the center of attention. I was more than impressed with their menu. It is a cocktail history book and menu. The drinks were great and the prices very reasonable. We will be back.

    It is a nice place in the heart of Temple Bar. VCC is easy to find and the atmosphere is great! Excellent food and a drink list super. A good bar to have a quite dinner or cocktail.

    Sat at the bar on the downstairs level. Atmosphere was top notch, from decor to music. Everyone who greeted us was super friendly, made us feel at home. Diarmud (I think?) at the bar was great for the chats and had some stellar drink suggestions. Will definitely return

    Overpriced, dark and cramped. Only one toilet - unisex - which wasn’t great given the size of the place. If you’re desperate to get rid of 100 Euro in an hour, this is the place to go.

    Gorgeous spot however food is not worth the money that they’re charging for it. Cocktails were amazing.
