Excellent dinner and atmosphere. Small but energetic with great personal service from Keith. Mussels starter is a must, and calamari, duck, and a merlot made a very memorable meal. We’ll talk about this dinner as a highlight of the trip. Go see Keith, he’s the bomb.
We had a very pleasant evening & food was excellent.
We really enjoyed our evening. The food and service was great.
Great fish and chips. Lets hope they get their view back soon.
Great food and friendly service. Good value and lovely location.
Lovely meal in a lovely place, don’t know how this place isn’t busier! Early bird is excellent value
Excellent food, very personable. Have already recommended it to several friends
excellent service, i had the chicken which was vert tasty and my husband had fish and chips, he said it was the best he had ever tasted and one of our party had the steak which was also excellent. We would certainly recommend this restaurant and hope to be back. They web site says they do an early bird deal but unfortunately doesn't give the time for it and no signs up anywhere about the timings.
We have been to this restaurant a number of times, and never dissappointed
Food and service excellent and a vry good ambiance reflecting the quality of the restaurant.
Busy but well seviced and a restaurant we plan to visit regularly
Great Food, Great Value - Our first visit and we will definitely be back. Slow Cooked Pork Belly one of the best I have ever tasted.
Fabulous spot, one of our favorites. Keith and his staff consistently delivery great food at a great price together with an excellent service. Factor in the exceptional location and it’s a winner,
Nice ambience, very good food, good value. There was a very large party next to us on the night. This resulted in noise but was also
perhaps the cause for very slow service. We waited over 45 minutes for our food to
arrive after ordering. Drinks were slow to come or forgotten about.
Great Food and Very Friendly Service. Will be back !
There was a mix up over price of wine on bill, owner got in touch and explained there must have been an error somewhere, has offered refund or complimentary wine, good to see proper customer service still exists and that he made an effort to make amends.
Very enjoyable evening. Lovely food in pleasant surroundings.
Superb staff made our visit to the waterfront very enjoyable. We had black sole which was perfectly cooked and one of our party asked for different accompanying sauces. No problem. We sat outside. It was nice to watch the world go by. Great food, kept simple, fresh, tasty, well presented.
We had a wonderful day out at the waterfront restaurant last Sunday , food ,service was excellent, we are looking forward in returning soon.
We booked this at short notice on the way back from Dublin, staying nearby in Sandycove. Noticed "sea view," was very appealing. Sadly, there was a hoarding round the lido blocking the view!
However, we walked back to Sandycove and spotted seals, so that was a real consolation!
The service we received from Fiona was very pleasant and friendly. The food was delicious and a real highlight of our visit.
Should we return to the area, we will definitely visit again!
Hi Michele, thanks for the kind words. It was lovely to meet you both! Fiona
Excellent well thought out menu
A pleasant surprise next door to Teddy’s in Dun Laoighre
fabulous service at the Waterfront, we mentioned it was my friends birthday and they went all out for it..
Our host was the actual owner who engaged delightfully with us throughout the evening
I will definitely recommend and return
The food is simple to die for. I had delicious goats cheese salad with beetroot and it was sublime. Hubby had calamari, also tender and delicious. My black sole on the bone, main course special was an absolute treat. Washed down with a yummy Albarino. Delightful evening on a delightful venue.
Fantastic restaurant, service and food. I would recommend this to everyone.
We now go pretty frequently to the Waterfront for dinner and enjoy it every time. The service is very good and food excellent .
All occasion dining. Fab service - fab food - fab everything. A definite go to restaurant
Good food and very kind owners.
Restaurant in front of the sea.
Wednesday night steaks, can't go wrong. Great as ever!
lovely location but the food was only ok. We had calamari to start and venison sausage, the calamari was undercooked and the batter was not hot, the sausage would have been lovely except it tasted like a reheat. The main of monkfish was nice and the so were the fish and chips as the portion was excellent , but again the batter and also the chips wer al little undercooked. The service was ok, 2 staff one very friendly and helpful and the other really unhappy and didnt seem to want to be there. The wine was nice but my glass was 8.50 and it was not a decent size glass, but the worst thing for me was the cutlery, it was the cheapest pound shop quality . Our meal with n o dessert 4 glasses of wine was 90 e not good value. The unfriendly staff member brought he bill with 2 glasses of a creamy maybe baileys , drink but didnt say anything or tell us what it was , not the greatest experience . They can do a lot better
Waterfront Bistro is Dun Laoghaire’s best kept secret.
It’s s an absolute gem for great food, friendly professional service, and terrific value.
Keith and his team work extremely hard to make the customer experience very special and it continually shows in the final product...”On the Plate”
Very friendly helpful staff, we were there for mothers day and the set menu was delicious. Would highly recommend
Good food. Set menu for Mothers day was limited to starter and main - would have preferred to choose 2 courses out of 3 as none of the starters really floated my boat.
Excellent food, they were so helpful regarding dietary needs & nothing was a problem. Service & friendliness was 1st class.
Nice place, good service, very good food (we went for breakfast), overall is highly recommended.
Unfortunately there is no sea view anymore because of a site construction right in front of the restaurant.
This is such an incredible place for lunch or dinner. Been here for both and the food is exceptional without being overly “fussy”. The fish courses are incredible and the scampi has to be sampled as it’s delicious. At dinner the other day my husband chose steak and said it was fab!
Keith, the owner and host is charming and should be congratulated on this wonderful eaterie! I give it 6 stars and will be going back very soon
Great option for lunch.Lovely area for a walk along the seafront.
Good choices on the menu.Wine excellent.
Very good meal in a happy relaxed atmosphere looking forward to my next visit
The is one of the best restaurants in Dublin. The food and service are only excellent
The food was fine but not in any way remarkable. I had a calamari starter which was quite bland. My main course of pork belly was nicely presented but lacked flavour. Overall a good alternative to having to cook on a Friday but no better than what I may have served up myself. Staff were pleasant and friendly.
We enjoyed our dining experience on the Waterfront. The ambiance was pleasant and the food was cooked well and was tasty. The food was not especially cheap but good value nonetheless given the quality and presentation.
We woukd go back again.
I really love this place. I've been quite a few times, sometimes just as a couple, a couple of times with our parents and kids. The food is fresh, tasty and well presented. Front of house staff are friendly, lively, full of fun but not at all intrusive.
Our Mum's in particular love coming here. The decor is not intimidating whilst being clean, friendly and modern.
Been here twice now and loved it. Staff very friendly and welcoming and great food!
