The food is fantastic. We had the shrimp and grits and the salmon. Their Old Fashions are also tasty if a bit pricey. We went early so it wasn't super loud, but there are a lot of hard surfaces, and it does get noisy when it is crowded. Still totally worth it!

Lovely evening- enjoyed the oysters, shrimp and grits, and the surf and turf entree. The waitress was wonderful in helping us select wine. Great service and food- great gem in downtown Roanoke.

Delicious and great service as always! Only suggestion is to inform when menu items are unavailable - disappointed when attempted to order entree but couldn’t. Wellhung oysters were absolutely phenomenal and everyone should be sure to indulge in the bacon jam on the charcuterie plate!

The food was okay. They don’t have any sides or side salads. The shrimp and grits were very greasy, not creamy. I think it’s more of a place where you should just drink wine and order a charcuterie board.

A very good find in downtown Roanoke! We enjoyed mussels in white wine, which were very tender and the broth was good for dipping...we also had 2 different flatbread pizzas - also fresh, delicious and innovative...can't say enough about the service - attentive, knowledgeable and friendly....worth the trip downtown!

Our dinner last night (7-26-23) was delicious and service was excellent. We go there for lunch as well quite often and never disappoints. Chef Woo is the BEST!

As usual the food was excellent, however only one server was scheduled that evening and she was trying to take care of up to 9 tables simultaneously. She was doing her best and was put in a tough situation by management; as a result, the service was less than desirable.

The waitress forgot to put one of orders in & didn’t realize until almost 30 minutes later after the kitchen was closed. She even came back & said the order would be right out. Was really disappointed.

The food, service and ambience was amazing! We had a great night. Just be prepared to pay $25 for a flight of mimosas that equal about one actual mimosa. The wine is about $13 a glass. The martini was small and $15. The most economical way to go is to share a bottle of wine, but some of those are around $49. Again, amazing night, but super expensive.

Great atmosphere, waiters were awesome. Charcuterie plate was amazing, my favorite was the bacon jam 😎. Wine tasting for my wife and we ended up ordering a bottle of Under the Table white to go. If you’re looking for a nice elegant evening with your significant other, this is the place to go.

Pros : Modern ambience Knowledgeable and helpful white staff Cons: Food was tasty, but over priced for the amount of food. we were a group of five and ordered three appetizers and three dinners… The oysters were $30 for six tiny oysters that kind of thing. Would like to have seen the burger come with a side instead of just a bag of chips. The mimosa samplers were fun

Great food, but the ambience needs serious help. The restaurant is bizarrely configured and the tables and chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. Would have drank more, but my butt hurt due to those dreadful chairs.

We ate when a large party was present in one corner of the restaurant which meant the noise levels were high (accentuated by the tall open plan nature of the building). Putting that aside, the food and service were excellent. Food prices were fine. Wine prices were a bit high (particularly per glass).

The food was delicious, but the service was a little disjointed. Our server was very nice but didn't seem to really have it together. Ordering drinks other than wine was a little confusing. Overall, it was a nice experience and we would go back.

Requested non bar stool seating- did not receive it. Not one person could explain grape sources or suggest any sauv blanc type wine. We were served shared apps without any small plates,nor any staff to be found.I ordered the avocado toast with extra shrimp. The shrimp was very good but the over easy eggs were well done and totally smothered in very hot sriracha sauce. The avocado toast was thinly blessed with actual avocado. The Richards wine flight was very bland, the bubbly the only stand out. One of our party ordered the Bloody Mary and said it was spicy ,but very good. Noise level is pretty loud and the seating was very uncomfortable cheap metal bar stools,some backless. All servers were polite,just not around when you needed them. Too bad.

We are Roanoke locals and this was our first visit to Well Hung. The ambience is nice; tables are spaced comfortably and the music is a nice groove. The charcuterie board is fantastic and the 4 of us couldn’t finish it as our dinner. The wine was a nice surprise. Under The Table red was very drinkable, unmanipulated and had some complexity. Our server, Caitlin, was fantastic! Ask for her if you can and tip her well!

The venue is most attractive, in an excellent location for locals as well as out-of-town visitors. Although that was what brough me in, the service, the food, and the fun vibe is the reason that I have returned. It is a great experience to start the weekend or to wrap up an evening in Roanoke.

Service was great. My party shared a few flatbread pizzas and they were delicious. There was live music which was very good, but overall the noise level was a bit too high. Wish that could be turned down a bit so I could hear my table mates better. Will be back!

Oysters on the half shell should always be served with crackers and tabasco, yet ours arrived with neither. When requested, they did a quick look and returned without any, as they had none to serve. (Note to manager...you have to have crackers and tabasco. Check out Fleet Landing in Charleston SC for reference) :) Oysters were fresh...just need proper accoutrements to finish.

The restaurant did not receive the reservation we made through Open Table but were very accommodating and seated us at the one available table they had despite being busy for Valentine’s Day. Very courteous staff and good service. It was our first experience at WellHung and will definitely try it again for brunch.
