Irish
The Winding Stair is an award winning Irish restaurant overlooking Dublin's famous Ha'Penny bridge. The restaurant originally became a Dublin landmark in the 1970's named after a Yeats poem, giving it some true local history. It opened again in 2006 and became what it is today. Serving micro-brewery beer and food produce sourced from Artisans from the Island The Winding Staircase enjoys sourcing locally. Serving dishes from Marcoom's Irish buffalo mozzarella on their A la carte to roasted pumpkin wedges on their lunch menu there is a great twist on Irish dishes throughout the day.

We felt very well looked after here, and the outside ambience was great. We shared the potted crab on rye which was excellent, before moving onto a delicious, very plump, rump steak cooked to our liking with the creative addition of bone marrow, and a beautifully braised pork belly with delicious crackling. My only criticism was that the apricot with the pork belly was maybe too dominant, but really the food was great. We'd like to emphasise how helpful and professional our waiter was, who had the knack of appearing when we needed him for advice and ordering, and allowing us to enjoy our meal undisturbed otherwise. The timing of the courses was just right, not rushed or too slow. This is a great restaurant with a lovely outdoor and indoor ambience, and we heartily recommend it.

A really enjoyable meal in the Winding Stair (outdoor) yesterday evening. Food was delicious, service so friendly & welcoming and the staff made the experience very comfortable by clearly observing Covid obligations like hand sanitising, distancing etc. Looking forward to my next visit!

Excellent quality food and very well presented. Service was 100% and our waiter was knowledgeable on the wine list. Great atmosphere on the rooftop outside, not too noisy.

A very pleasant experience overall, except that we both had the same main course and in one the meat was extremely tough so there was inconsistency.

I’ve always loved this place and coming out of lockdown, if anything it’s even better. The outdoor space is really well done, the service as good as ever and the food is great. It was my first choice for a meal out after a year and a half and was so good I booked another table straight away.

Absolutely delicious food and wine served on the outdoor terrace with lovely view over the ha'penny bridge. In spite of heavy rain the terrace was well sheltered but perhaps a long sleeved layer to be recommended on a colder day. I can imagine perfect on a sunny day.
Very interesting menu with a Legal Eagle collaboration, another restaurant worth a visit

Very accepting and accommodating of a toddler and young child. Lovely atmosphere for city rooftop. Good quality ingredients but our guest found rump steak chewy and tasteless. Pork belly very tasty. Plaice unremarkable. Wine excellent.

Great night - and lovely to be out out. Slight price increase which is I stand able given the limited seating, however justifiable but one would hope this is not a template for a return to full occupancy.

Food was good, couple of things stopped it being top class. Apricot with the pork didn't work, too sweet. Coleslaw with the steak doesn't work either ,off balance. I'd look again at the menu, it's very close to Michelin standard, but not there yet. Noise from next door is also a little off putting, but won't be a problem when you get back indoors. I'm being hyper critical here, if you are a customer reading this, please go there, it's a very good experience. For the restaurant, service was probably some of the best I experienced, food is mostly perfect, just a couple of things to look at. I will be back though

I had the pan fried sole which was well presented with little blobs of Mayo squeezed around the edge of the plate and some pea sprout sprinkled on it. Tasted good. Wasn't worth 27 euro thoug. Nice ambiance, very good service although I did notice there wasn't a single female on staff in the kitchen or front of house.

I found that it was very cold we asked could they put the cover up and heaters but there was something about not complying with HSE Rules therefore we were extremely cold, the table cloths were blowing, hard to enjoy also my friends asked for pino grigo wine and they had none, the toilets were extremely dark a safety hazard, overall not value for money and I would not be booking a table again
