We treat it with the respect and ceremony it deserves by crafting seasonal weekend buffet selections that’ll spark your curiosity and pull you back for more. Our Elevated Brunch Buffet is served Saturday & Sunday from 9am - 2pm. Our last seating time is 1pm. Everyone can indulge in their perfect plate at our holiday inspired Christmas Day elevated Brunch buffet! Please note that our a la carte menu will not be available, we kindly ask that guests note any allergies when making the reservation.

    It was a busy Sunday, food was ok, I don't feel like it was as described on the menu. We opted to order a la carte and both were disappointed. Spanish omelette was good but not remarkable, it didn't live up to the menu description. Same for the biscuits and gravy... Also it was obvious that our food sat under the warming lights for too long. The menu writer does a great job and what really sounded great, was just ok. There were coffee grounds in my cup and the water was never refilled.... Honestly I could get better service and food at any chain or dive pub. I don't think I'll book again

    We enjoyed a relaxed dinner before a DJD performance. The space is charming and the service knowledgeable , friendly and efficient. We enjoyed a tasty cocktail before ordering dinner then ordered three dishes, all proving delicious. Many thanks!

    We were there for their weekend brunch buffet, and it was not worth it ($36/person) Very few bread options: only croissant and a loaf of bread were available, and the loaf of bread was stale. Cheese and charcuterie platter was OK, however some cheeses (i.e. brie) were dry, almost like if they had been left on the refrigerator after it had been cut open. Sourdough pancakes were tough, however the whiskey syrup was very pleasant. Crispy chicken eggs benedict were a nice surprise. Scrambled eggs were nice, however with no seasoning at all.

    Nous avons été déçus par le buffet du brunch. Beaucoup de choix d’œufs préparés de plusieurs manières. Très peu de charcuterie et fromage. Aucun poisson. Pas de pancakes !

    Loved the lobster pasta, server was nice. Don’t get the pea pasta unless you love peas. Mussel api was good value. Not a single closed mussel so thats great to see.

    The service was extremely slow and inattentive. Meals had disproportional elements and were over seasoned. The experience was disappointingly, negatively incongruent with the ratings and articles on the bistro. We will not be returning.

    Was shocked at how little food there was for the brunch for $36.00. The menu was only for breakfast items and my husbands meal was burnt, my daughter's was hard on the bottom and she couldn't finish it. There were four of us and nobody finished their meal. The waiter kept getting our drink order wrong. Very disappointing experience. I had really been looking forward to going to this restaurant but will not go back.

    Always love the food here. Our table was not ready for 15 mins past reso time. Once seated, we had really good service. The seats are normally comfortable but for some reason we got seated with the most uncomfortable seats, super hard wooden chairs, not recommended for pregnant or new moms but we switched chairs ourselves. Overall, I would go back for another special occasion.

    We have always been impressed wit YDB since we started eating there on occasion 7 years ago. The food is excellent with some variation which is welcome given lots of menus elsewhere that are constantly the same. Since the closure of La Chaumiere this is the first place that has come close for food quality and the variations are a pleasant gift. The 3 and 5 course meals are a good value. Service has also been excellent. Would highly recommend YDB!

    We were a party of five on a slow night. Our circular booth was comfortable, roomy, and retro-lux. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. Our teenager ordered a mock Mojito. The server then invited him to come up with a challenge to their bartender so he gave them a flavour combination. They returned with not one but two stunning looking (and delicious) mocktails. It was a little bit of extra effort that went such a long way. All the food was excellent, for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The mushroom tagliatelle had almost more mushrooms than pasta for a rich, satisfying flavour. The French onion soup was spectacular, a meal in itself. It was one of the nicest dining experiences I've had in Calgary in a very long time.

    Mother’s Day brunch was very disappointing regardless of it being 65$ per person . Food was not being replenished fast enough, what was available looked like it had been sitting or was cold. All in all felt like a all inclusive hotel buffet. Service was great, cute place. We will try again when it’s not a buffet !

    A great place for a relaxing brunch! The service is very friendly and the food selection is tasty. Not a massive selection, but the choices are good and the buffet food is all nicely prepared. It's a good spot to meet family members for a meal and the noise level allows for easy conversation.

    We ended a 12-day Canadian vacation at Hotel Arts and enjoyed our final meal of the trip at Yellow Door Bistro. After many excellent meals in Vancouver, Jasper, Lake Louise, and Banff, we rank our experience at Yellow Door Bistro at the very top! Service was superb. The ambiance is trendy and upscale. Our three course meal with an exquisite wine pairing was perfectly prepared and presented—absolutely delicious! The chef took the time to visit our table and even prepared a special course when our duck entree was delayed. The experience was first class in every way.

    We stayed at hotel arts and ate at this restaurant for my boyfriends birthday/ dinner. He got the 10oz ribeye and I got the lobster pasta. It was unreal. Our server was amazing and even brought us a complimentary champagne drink which we never even asked for. Would definitely come back here!

    For the price of the brunch, I would expect great food and great service. The food was not great. The breakfast seafood pailla was fishy in a bad way, the desserts were dry, the service was nonexistent. My group had to ask for everything like coffee, tea, cream, water. The bill took a very long time to arrive. The signage was also inaccurate. The French toast was good. Recommend skipping the buffet and just get the French toast. The value isn't there.

    The service was great but the food was very underwhelming. The pasta had way too much sauce and the flavour was mediocre, better pasta can be made at home. For the price of the menu I would no return.
