    Excellent food/drink: pizza, pasta, wine. Nice change of pace in Galway. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend Zappi’s for anyone in the mood for Italian.

    Delicious dinner last night at Zappi’s. It was a Sunday so wasn’t busy but all options were available. We shared the bruschetta and a garlic bread to start - melt in the mouth combo of tomatoes, garlic and pesto with a sweet touch of balsamic vinegar. We both had the carbonara as a main - also delicious! Portions are generous!! I couldn’t finish my main - well worth a visit. We felt it was excellent value and the staff are lovely. Definitely on our list for a return trip to Galway in the future.

    Average Italian meal. I ordered a burrata caprese salad which was far too sweet and pappardelle with mushrooms and got spaghetti. Hubby ordered the vegetarian pizza and enjoyed it. Wait staff were pretty disengaged, so all in all, I won’t be back.

    We enjoyed the olives and bruschetta for appetizers, beef ragu and calamari salad for entries, and a nice bottle of wine. Very nice dinner.

    We had a great experience in Zappis restaurant last night, the service was extremely efficient and the food was great. Our server was extremely friendly from the get go and we could see that the other servers were lovely too. We’ll definitely be back when we’re next in Galway.

    I had a bad experience although the staff were friendly. Caesar salad had way too much mayonnaise and Parmesan. The croutons were completely stale. Calamari didn’t have the sinew taken off. Carbonara was not carbonara, more of a cream sauce. Pasta was not cooked. Gnocchi was nice. Breadsticks were good. It started well as we were having an anniversary and we were welcomed warmly. Our starters took 35mins to come out which is a bit long. We were not asked how our meal was even with food left on plates. Or asked during our meal. We paid and left and cannot say we will go back.

    Margherita pizza wasn’t full of flavor - seems tomatoes in Ireland are less flavorful than ones from elsewhere. He risotto was great consistency but needed some umph - there was no truffle flavor. Duck ragu was good. A bottle of the house Cabernet Sauvignon wine is like drinking red wine on an airplane.

    Surprised at how hood the food was overall. Antipasto plate was generous and tasty. Puzza had good crust. Pasta was a little gloppy and the pasta itself a bit goo thick for the sauce. But overall a very pleasant dinner.

    Definitely would recommend! The servers were attentive without being overbearing. The food was fresh, fast and hot. It was relatively quiet for a Friday night but it was what we were looking for. They were a bit limited on their drink choices but we were still happy.

    A last minute booking and we were delighted with the food and service . Seafood pasta was very generous with lots of local clams and mussels. The duck ragu pasta was delicious too. Wine available by the carafe . Happy diners !

    Although my starter and main were good, the pizza served to the neighboring tables looked incredible. My beef ragu pasta was a hint bland and could have benefited from a bit more salt or even a few red pepper flakes. Very good service.

    This was a spur of the moment dinner decision and we could not have been happier! The food was excellent!! The staff was far and above excellent!! Just the right amount of chat!! Loved this place and highly recommend it!!

    Fabulous food. Everyone so friendly and food fresh and tasty. Loved the Prosecco on Tap €20 a bottle is always a good thing. First time here and we will definitely come back on our next visit to Galway

    18 euros for the pizzas they offer seems too much to me. they have very little cheese, are thin as a sheet and have little subtlety in design and assembly. We ordered one that on the menu had shredded chicken, when the pizza arrived, the shredded was not shredded, but were very rustically cut pieces. On the other hand, the service of the waiters was good, always attentive and pleasant.
