From the outside, you might think this was just another local Asian restaurant, not deserving of your consideration. After all, the fancy P.F. Chang's is practically across the street on US 41 (Tamiami Trail.) That couldn't be further from the truth. Inside the restaurant is larger and extremely well appointed. But that is just the beginning. Their wide ranging menu includes items from Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, China and more. The quality of the food is outstanding as well. No wonder Zen Asian BBQ receives so many accolades. They deserve them all. We will be back. Hope to see you there, too.

This restaurant is trying to cover too much Asian cuisine and is failing in some areas. The Korean bulgogi was inedibele but the sashimi was fine. The Thai basil chicken had no basil in it. The restaurant itself needs a face lift.

I thoroughly enjoy the Grilled Octopus . The sushi made for me with the Cucumber wrapping was delicious .

I was really looking forward to trying Zen Asian BBQ, but unfortunately the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. The atmosphere felt pretty average and lacked the warmth or energy you’d hope for in an Asian BBQ spot. The food was okay, but nothing memorable, flavors were decent without really standing out, and the presentation was fairly basic. For the price point, I expected something a bit more exciting or authentic. Service was polite but slow and somewhat inattentive, which added to the overall “just alright” feeling of the meal. With so many great dining options around town, I’m not sure I’d rush back.
