We were hosted by Zepplin for a fun night of karaoke, sushi, tempura, other tasty bites and drinks.🍹🍱 💜 Zeppelin has karaoke Thursdays at 9:30pm and Fridays + Saturdays at 10:30pm. 💜 Table reservations are required, and there’s a $25 food and drink minimum per person. 💜 Tables are available on OpenTable & they ask guests to note that they’re staying for karaoke in the notes 🌸 Personally, it’s an aesthetically beautifully restaurant with fun Tokyo inspired monsters painted walls and cherry blossoms 🌸 flowers. The staff was so nice, and helpful. Their drinks pack a deliciously delightful punch. One of my go-to’s for sushi. Unfortunately, this is the second time I’ve had very poor service. We were on time (Saturday evening), but the host didn’t seem prepared for us at all. We had to stand awkwardly by the front door while people rushed in and out. Everything seemed very disorganized and multiple parties were standing around waiting while the frustrated-looking host was trying (unsuccessfully) to seat us on time. There was no communication regarding any eta as to when we’d be seated. When they were finally ready for us 20 min after our reservation time, they shoved us in a small table by the bar, even though I reserved the dining area for 5. Service was faster than usual, but the waiter kept forgetting basic things like refilling our water. Worse yet, we ordered a yellowtail and were served the wrong roll. Instead of saying sorry and comping it, the waiter simply stared at us as if confused what to do. Their solution was to ask,“Do you still want the yellowtail?” as if that isn’t why we ordered it to begin with. They ultimately didn’t seem too apologetic or have any urgency to fix the situation. I like the sushi quality, but the service has been getting worse and worse. The previous time, for my friend’s birthday, we waited almost an hour for our sushi to arrive, which is ridiculous for a sushi restaurant. Despite the quality of the food, the increasingly poor service/management seems to be a trend, especially with party sizes larger than two. I’ll definitely think twice before coming here again- the prices are way too high for such consistently bad service.

After a lovely evening and an excellent meal, we were disappointed by the maître d’s decision to seat a party of four at the table next to ours and add a fifth chair, completely blocking my partner’s access to his own seat. It was an entirely unnecessary move that disrupted what had otherwise been a wonderful experience. Despite the apologies, the damage was done. A real pity, as everything else had been so enjoyable.

Easily one of the best restaurants in DC. The sushi is fantastic, excellent quality fish, great variety, and supremely skilled preparation. The service is par excellence (kudos to our favorite barkeep, Jake!). Cocktails and sake selection are superb. Even the pricing is extremely reasonable for such outstanding quality of food and service alike. Great vibes too -- perfect quiet neighborhood hang, sophisticated interior design, indoor and outdoor seating, could be pretentious if it wanted to (because it's so good on every level), but it avoids that trap. If I had to recommend one place to a friend visiting from out of town, or for the perfect date, or even a classy business lunchz, Zeppelin is it.

We had an amazing experience at Zeppelin. I cannot eat gluten and the staff was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to me! My boyfriend and I shared everything and everything we had was absolutely delicious!!! 10/10 experience and night! Thanks so much!

First of all, my party was pleasantly surprised at how good the sushi was given the more laid-back and casual atmosphere of Zeppelin. The service was amazing, and it began with Sean our server, and continued with our amazing general manager. Ari. Our next door neighbor, moez, works at Zeppelin and recommended this restaurant to us. We will definitely be back for more. My friend and I ordered the omakaze tasting menu And it had the top quality sushi of restaurants that were twice as expensive! The seaweed salad was such a delight because it had thick, fresh seaweed and had pickles spread throughout the dish. It was a pallet cleanser that was much needed before our main sushi was served on the table. We will definitely be back, great atmosphere not only from a dining experience indoor and outdoor, but also the bar was lively and full of quality neighborhood people.

Second time dining at Zeppelin. Awesome food and good service. The sushi here is top rated and we love that they have an upstairs and downstairs dining area. Their happy hour is 4p-6p which is perfect for right after work. It’s a no-brainer that we’ll be back at this restaurant!!

Amazing food, sashimi deluxe platter is always super well thought out and presented beautifully. We love to sit outside on the terrace. Will go again in a few weeks for sure.
