Review summary

ZINC Holland Center Dining offers a convenient location and elegant atmosphere for pre-show meals. Guests rave about the "great location" and "delicious" food. While some dishes like salmon are consistently praised, the limited menu and service inconsistencies suggest room for improvement. The accommodating staff and director's engagement are notable highlights.

Big shout out to Hope Pena, (Director of Food and Beverage). She did take the time to come over and speak with us, and it was appreciated. This venue has great potential to be fine dining, but needs some attention to details. The Caesar salad with Salmon was perfect. Well done. The Charcuterie tray needs work. Giant chunks of cheese with lavosh was unappealing to me. The Acolyte Chardonnay was (in my opinion) way overpriced for the taste. It is a convenient stop before a show, but next time probably just for drinks.

I miss many things on the old menu. I do not care for the meatloaf or the vegetarian on the way and the rest of the options are all $30 or more. I often like the appetizer and the salad for my meal which is no longer available. We also enjoyed the hamburgers. And I really miss the bread selections. The new breadsticks are dry and without flavor. Not worth the calories. My martini was bitter and may have had too much vermouth. The next time we go to the symphony, I may check out the menu in the lobby area. It may have selections I prefer. Although she was new, Annie gave personalized great service.! she’s a keeper

Third time trying Zinc. First and second time was the same as this time. Two entrees ordered. Salmon was good, steak was awful. So tough that when I tried to cut it it sent the other foods off the plate and onto the table. They did offer me another meal, so I chose the salmon because that was cooked right. The salmon they brought out to replace the steak was overcooked. They didn’t charge me for either meal, which I appreciated, but I would have rather had an enjoyable meal and paid for it. The table beside us had the same problem with their steak. They run out of desserts. The convenience of having a meal at the concert hall isn’t worth it. Our server was very busy. I don’t think they have enough servers to adequately serve all the tables on a busy night. I would love to see the restaurant improve because it would be nice to enjoy a meal and a show in one place. They run out of desserts.

I was running a little late for my 5:30 reservation but the staff were very accommodating. The restaurant was packed. Ordered the meatloaf & after a considerable wait, was informed they were out. I then chose the spaghetti squash & it was delicious, perfect sized serving too! I do enjoy eating here before the show as it is so convenient & relaxing! Quite unexpectedly, the dining manager came over to apologize & then comped the entire meal for our table of 4. Everyone working in the Zinc on 9/1/26 were most pleasant, efficient & helpful. I will definitely return!

Have eaten here before but this time was not up to same standards. Menu didn’t match online or previous visit and more limited. Guest liked the salmon. My meatloaf was not hot, compressed and very tough. Seated near bar and served by a bartender so very spotty attention. Watery drinks not cold. Overall the convenience of the location could not make up for mediocre experience.

We ate here prior to a concert. The wagyu steak tasted horrible. The steak has bo seasoning, just a slab of herb butter in top. It was almost like the meat was going bad. The meatloaf seemed like it was a pre-frozen meatloaf from costco. The steak was not tender, it was filled with fat that you couldn't even bite through. This was definately not worth the money at all.
