Service was stiff to the point of uncomfortable. Cork in wine. Flies buzzing throughout the restaurant. All of the staff, save the wine steward, seemed very anxious. Room in need of extensive refurbishment. Food was hit and miss. By “hit” I mean as expected, nothing that stood out in either flavor or presentation but tasted as expected. By “miss” I mean flavor and ingredient combinations that were, at best, in-artful and indelicate and, at worst, ill conceived and inedible. The staff seemed utterly confused that many courses were cleared half eaten and, in more than a few cases, tasted but largely untouched. Overall, the restaurant is trying too hard to be special, rather than simply executing on its food/service and actually being special. In sum, Michelin owes me a refund, and three hours of my life back.

Very disappointing. Did not feel like a 3 star restaurant. So many things need to be improved. Staff was excellent. Main course was a total disappointment. Steak was tough! Watching your shows and what you expect is not what we got at your restaurant.

The experience was amazing. It was a once in a lifetime experience. The food was delicious but for the hefty price tag I would have expected the dishes to contain some higher priced ingredients. The dishes were simple, elegant and masterfully executed. I just wanted some ingredients that were a bit more rare or expensive. The service was impeccable! We loved every minute. I was so excited to be able to dine at Gordon Ramsay’s flagship restaurant. It was definitely the highlight of our trip to London.

This was our first trip to London and being a huge Gordon Ramsay fan we had to try his flagship restaurant. From the moment we arrived we felt special when the doorman called me by name. How he knew who I was is beyond me?? We were seated immediately and soon chose the Carte Blanche option which is 7 courses none of which you are aware of beforehand. We were very very happy that they accommodated my wife’s food allergies without hesitation. This is not always the case. Our Sommelier was excellent guiding us to a wine of our liking without being pushy or judgy. In retrospect I wish I’d have asked him for a recommendation to better pair with our dishes since he knew what we were getting … I didn’t. That’s my issue not his and I’ll be smarter next time. Every course was spectacular as were the palette cleanser and amuse bouche selections. Service was impeccable, attentive but not intrusive. Price was a bit crazy even for a 3 Michelin star establishment, $1,500 (Canadian $$) for two people is nuts.

Visiting London for a few days and was able to snag a last minute reservation online, even though it was going to be a push to make in time for our dinner. I am so glad we did. We arrived 30 minutes late, and the staff still went above and beyond to cater to our needs. While we were too late to enjoy the tasting menu, the full a-la-carte menu was available. I went for the classics like the Lobster Ravioli, Steak and chips (chickpea base) and the apple tartine. All of it was solid and well executed. My wife ordered the scallop appetizer, sole fish mains and the spelt risotto with aged parmesan and Australian truffles. All three of these dishes were exceptional, and made the classics seem ho-hum by comparison. While the Gordon Ramsay classics don't disappoint, you will be rewarded for trying something new and a little adventurous. The wine pairing was also outstanding. Easy 5 star meal and experience!

Hands down the best dining experience I've ever had. The staff were attentive to every detail and sincere in their recommendations. The food was unique in every way and brought fresh flavors to every course. I highly recommend the carte blanche menu and allowing yourself to be taken on a culinary journey. We booked the inspiration table, thinking it would be a unique experience. Instead, we were sat at the very entrance, between the reception and the toilets. Not great. Not only did I feel like a receptionist, but I also got to see every person that went to the toilet, all afternoon long. There were at least 3 waitresses always standing there, and when there wasn't much going on, they would just stare at us eating. Also not great. I had made it very clear that I don't eat cheese, yet they brought me something with cheese twice, and they also added a cheesy sauce on one of my plates. I had to keep reminding them and they would take the food back and make us all wait for a replacement. The sommelier came once, and we asked him to come again with the mains for another wine selection. He never came back. My husband was quite unhappy because he asked for him a few times and he never showed up. The food was ok, but the rest completely took away from it. I don't understand how this can be a 3 Michelin star... I've been in much better restaurants, paying less money, and having a much better service and food. Last but not least, I told them it was my husband's birthday, and all they did was write a mini card saying congratulations. ANY other restaurant gifts birthday people either a glass of bubbly or a mini cake with a candle or something. This was the poorest and most laughable experience for a birthday.

The food isn’t very good. We spent £450 pp. the food cost us £350pp. I would say you will spent most of the money because of the brand name of “ Gordon Ramsay”. The table is “ very small one if you compare to other Michelin restaurants and you can clearly listen to what the next table is saying. Apart from that, we added £50 pp for an extra dish with truffles. Don’t even waste your money, you can’t smell and the taste the black truffle, it seems putting there for so long and you can’t really smell and taste it. We won’t visit this restaurant anymore and I am pretty sure you can have much better choice with this price.

Caveat: I own a Forbes 5 star restaurant. Just this year we were at noma , geranium , aoc, jont, providence, headed to core and Helene later this week. I would say that R. Gordon Ramsay is a hard pass if you’re visiting from abroad and limited with your time. It’s a nice meal but not a Michelin 3 star. 1) service was close to proper , but not a single staff member was engaging or remarkable; in this day and age stuff doesn’t quite cut it anymore. The som was confused about what we ordered considering that entire table had gotten the same tasting menu. Our water glass were empty for more than 5 min on several occasions. Table was never crumbed or staines addressed 2)decor was clean and modern, restrooms up kept 3) food: price was reasonable for carte blanche tasting . Flatware were beautiful, plateing composition was inspiring . Now for taste: menu needs whole reset. The cheese puff amuse was like a mouthful of day old mac/cheese. If you’re going to make bread a “course” then game needs to be upped, dinner rolls and shared butter doesn’t quite do it. Lobster course was chewy. John Dory was a tad over cooked, mention my preference on some things., like the beans to staff and never heard back from kitchen or saw chef. The squab course from delicious, but temp was off, plates should have been fired much warmer. Entire pace of dinner was way too slow, at some point we waited 20min between courses. Total time for tasting was 4.5hrs for a 10 course meal. I would also say I left hungry, I prefer to be present with too much food at this price point and be able to make decision to eat less.(you have be in excess at this level to cater to different guest appetites) So overall: good for a local drop in for dinner if you have not been, beyond that, it’s not a 3 star and should be stripped of some of its accolades. 1 out 10 course being good…is very bad, I don’t expect to love it all, but I didn’t expect to hate most of it .

We have eaten over the years at many upscale restaurants in the UK, including Andrew Fairlie, and as many years we have watched GR host and judge on his many food/competition shows. He always seemed incredibly finicky and masterful in his opinions and choices. This is the first time we have eaten at any of his restaurants (this one being his prime Michelin-starred one). And we know that he was not running the kitchen when we ate just last week in this restaurant. In fact, we learned from an employee that in the last six months he was there once. We also thought it would be the best meal representing this all-star chef. However, unfortunately, it wasn't. In all honesty, we felt the food was just average. Including the service. And it wasn't worth it, especially for the $. And we feel bad that it wasn't. A word to the wise. We will probably not be going back.

Delicious creative and visually creative food with outstanding service. But the portion size was stunningly small. My main course turbo and my wife’s dover sole were probably less than 4 oz each…two very small pieces respectively. That’s why I rated value low. Your high end competitors (such as Claude Bosi) have similar pricing, high quality and creativity, but you don’t walk out thinking “skimpy”.

We are Gordon Ramsey fans and have eaten at a number of his restaurants all over. This was definitely a step above anything we’ve had before. This meal was intended to be one of the highlights of our London trip and it did not disappoint. The service may have been the best I’ve ever experienced. The attention to detail was incredible. The food was almost too beautiful to eat but thankfully it was not because it was delicious. The flavors were wonderful with many subtle undertones. This is not a moderately priced restaurant and the portions are not large. I ordered the Prestige Menu which is a sampling of dishes from the menu. I have a good appetite and I was quite satisfied. We would definitely go back!

Firstly, the seating arrangement struck us as rather peculiar, as it was situated in between the main dining area and the restrooms. This placement may have caused some inconvenience to the overall dining environment and ambiance, leaving us with a slightly unfavorable impression. Furthermore, we have some reservations regarding the service provided by the sommelier. His approach when we were selecting wines seemed somewhat perfunctory, lacking enthusiasm and professionalism. We had hoped for better guidance and recommendations during the wine selection process to enhance the overall dining experience. While the overall quality of the food was decent, we felt that it fell short of our expectations for a Michelin three-star restaurant. We opted for a bottle of Riesling priced at £115, which had a pleasant taste. However, the service charge of nearly £100 did not correspond to the level of service we received, which was essentially lacking. Additionally, the flavors of the dishes leaned towards a typical French cuisine experience, and we were left wondering where the distinct characteristics of British cuisine were showcased. The shared restroom for both genders was rather surprising and caught me off guard. Such an arrangement made me feel uncomfortable. Moreover, the lighting in the restaurant for photography was extremely poor. The dim lighting resulted in unappealing photos. When attempting to take a picture with the chef, he appeared ghostly due to the lighting, making us reluctant to share those pictures.

Our table of 5 did the chef’s Carte Blanche meal - which was a material premium to the signature tasting menu. Not a good choice. The signature menu has as its main course lamb or beef. Our table was served pork as its main dish. Nobody liked it. We didn’t even think to say we didn’t want pork as a main dish as I’ve never been to a Michelin restaurant where the chef selected such (and this was my 21st 3-star Michelin meal). It took over 45 minutes to get the check after we asked for it. My wife actually left the restaurant after 40 minutes in frustration and I sat there still waiting. Overall, this was my worst 3-star experience. And I ate at Alain Ducasse two days ago and going to Benu in SF in three weeks. I know what I’m talking about. Nobody asked us about the experience. And no little “gift” at the end of the meal.

A while since we lasted visited. Prompted by daughter’s birthday gift voucher. We went for the “Carte Blanche” surprise menu. Nice canapés. The lobster starter was good, as was the potato salad. My sea bass skin was not crispy, however the mild bouillabaisse sauce and confited tomato was good. The pork was rather dry and uninteresting. The cheese course with scented honey had mixed reviews with my wife comparing it to soap. The set custard pre-desert had an over-poweringly sweet sauce. The strawberry mille feuille was uninspiring. We had a very nice G&T and a bottle of St Peray at £95. Service was in general good and pleasant however at one point I was left for a considerable period with my wine glass empty, and waiter I asked for a refill wasn’t empowered so took a while to find someone who could oblige. At this price point one is looking for exceptional. I’m afraid this is fair/good but not at a 3 star level.

They had a birthday card with my finances name on it, which was spelled wrong. Service was not friendly, actually rude. We waited over 30 minutes for a check, had multiple plates not get picked up. I have no idea how this place has three stars. Would not recommend.

I booked this restaurant for my partners birthday as it was somewhere he's always wanted to go. I regret nothing. The restaurant provided a very nice card with his name on it and a bonus dessert with a candle during the dessert. We started the evening with a Champagne so delicious I asked for the details. The sommolier also recommended three more wines to pair with the Carte Blanche menu. Each were impeccable and made the expereince even better. I saw some reviewers that were not impressed by the food, but we both thoroughly enjoyed it. My partner has been talking about the bread course for weeks now. Over all, it was very pricy, but it was such a beautiful expereince and I would return. As with anything, your mileage may vary, but I would recommend this experience to anyone.
