The service was good, but the place was far too noisy for Business Meals
Throughly enjoyed it also staff very helpful with my dads walking aid
My main course of the hake was very salty. It was difficult to eat.
Simply excellent. Exceeded my expectations and offered wonderful food and great service. Good wine selection available at fair prices.
We will be back.
Very good service - delicious scallops - poor quality small rib-eye steak -
Lovely restaurant I had the hake and it was fabulous my companion had the spicy lamb special and was disappointed with it.
Staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall a positive experience.
Taken promptly to our pre-booked table. Staff courteous and attentive. Food was excellent - comfortable environment and great place to relax with friends, no pressure to vacate table - booking recommended.
Lovely restaurant, the staff were very attentive and obliging. We had a mixed group in terms of dietary requirements and everyone enjoyed their food. We also had some cocktails with our meal which were very tasty.
Wonderful night in Fallon & Byrne. This place never fails to impress me. My date was equally impressed. Food was beautifully presented and tasted divine. We had the Halibut.
Service was excellent.
Great restaurant, loved the atmosphere, fab food and drinks menu. Excellent service. I’d highly recommend this restaurant from any occasion
I came here with family to celebrate my graduation and everyone was so impressed. Such a nice ambiance with friendly & professional staff and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.
Starter and dessert very good. The main of beef burger...disappointing.Chicken risotto and salmon good.
Service v.good but was efficient rather than friendly.
Really liked the setting and ambience.
Would go again ...but,could not recommend set menu
We enjoyed the pre theatre menu which is available all Sunday evening. While the menu is small, there was something suitable for all four of our party.
The wait staff were helpful, very obliging and polite.
The only negative point I would mention was the lack of wines available under €30. There was only one each of red and white wine out of a substantial list for under €30.
That said, I will definitely visit again soon.
We had dinner here to celebrate my mum's 60th birthday and it was a really lovely evening. The restaurant itself looks beautiful and has a really nice atmosphere. The food is delicious - I had the pumpkin soup to start and the chicken breast with mushroom risotto as a main, and both were fantastic. The waiting staff were attentive without being at all overbearing, and our waiter was so lovely to bring out some ice cream with a candle for my mum - a lovely touch. Just a shame we were all so full that we couldn't enjoy some desserts! A reason to return, I think. All top notch and I'd definitely recommend to others.
We visited on a Sunday night with the family (5 adults) before going to a concert. The food was delicious, service impeccable and the noise level very low. My mother-in-law can't walk stairs, so we appreciated the accessibility by lift. Tried a range of different food among us, everyone was satisfied - they also have a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Combined with the concert we went to that night, this was a perfect end to our weekend trip to Dublin.
Our food was ok, but that’s all, nothing spectacular, the service wasn’t great, there’s a big difference between the friendliness of the waiting staff, we were served 2 people ,one was very friendly while the other was non communicative, it was expensive for what you got, a glass of Chardonnay was €9.50, we declined .
As always Fallon & Byrne is one of the best restaurants in Dublin!
all good very good staff really lovely desert. I was very happy
Turned up 7 mins early for the pre theatre menu on a Friday evening at 6pm. the restaurant was set up, tables arranged and staff just finalising opening. We were held at the door, while the booking was checked and then told at we were too early, to go away and come back. Asked if we could just be shown to our table and said we were happy to wait the now 5 mins b4 service started. Told no. Go away and to come back.
The restaurant is On the top floor of the building. It would have taken us a couple of minutes to walk back down grr steps to turn straight around to go back up so we would then be on time for the booking! It was so pedantic and rude. I understand the booking was for 6 and that is openingbtime butcsurelybthey don’t expect that people arrive only and ordvicedky at that time. Ifvwed been shown to a table, removed our jackets and perhaps even given the Menu to peruse then we’d have been right in time.
As it was we did leave, went back down the stairs and kept going. Spent jus money on a lovely dinner elsewhere.
The restaurant then had the cheek to report to open table that we did not arrive for our booking.
Can only mark as terrible for everything as didn’t get over the door to experience any of it due to the most extrem example if trrribke customer service from the 1st person we came into contact with who represented the establishment. 1st impressions matter. Even if she had said can you just wait here a couple of minutes we will just make sure your table is sorted. Nope.... instead glass door pulled closed and told to go away until the few minutes had elapsed.
Great food, very attentive and thoughtful will our needs with a baby and an assistance-dog. We’re there for a graduation and the whole experience was superb.
Great food, good variety, vegetarial/vegan options. Good choice of drinks. Staff very welcoming and accommodating, great service, good location. A Hidden Gem. Would highly recommend.
Lovely experience. Good food and prompt service. Happy to come back.
Super food, excellent service and lovely surroundings.
Over from Nottingham in England for a few days, used the deli a few times before but 1st time for restaurant, although quite noisy the food more than made up for it, scallops A1, stuffed rabbit absolutely fabulous. Service very good and waiter/waitress excellent, will definitely visit again
Excellent food, service, ambience. Fully recommended.
Amazing food, fantastic service! Fresh ingredients and excellent value for money. Thoroughly recommended!
Excellent food and service in one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Dublin.
Warm friendly restaurant, great service, delicious food
I’m disappointed to write a less than good review but when a main dish is inedible, what can you do? The scallop starter was superb and the Caesar salad was excellent but the pork chop was overdone, tough and inedible. The maitre d’hotel took it off the bill and we were grateful. Pleasant and diligent service but the assistant waiter filled the sparkling water glass with plain water - just a moment’s inattention - but it shouldn’t happen. I’d given another chance if only for the French fries.
Very noisy and VERY warm, service was slow, steaks were overdone, scallop appetizer was GREAT, cocktails were very good.
Nice dining room and good food although portions are quite small . Found the service a little bit rushed .
Great food, but service wasn’t as good as usual. Waiter unaware of contents of menu and took our plates away a little too quickly. Felt like we were being rushed.
Otherwise food & atmosphere thankfully still great.
The quality of food is very high, they even had a vegan menu which is impressive. A recommendation for the restaurant would be to look into adding more non-meat protein to their veggie main course so that the recipient would not still feel hungry after the meal. And that was with a starter! The main ordered was beautifully cooked and very tasty, just not a very nutritionally balanced meal. The rest of the food went down very well. Lovely place for an evening meal.
When visiting Dublin with a group of friends, this restaurant popped up on many lists of recommended places to eat. And rightly so. Excellent seasonal menu with many vegetarian options. The ambiance was a bit old-fashioned, but perfectly fitting for the location and the wonderful level of service. Don't forget to visit the food store on the ground floor and the wines in the basement.
Food was excellent with service attentive and fast. It was very busy the evening we went along, so a lot of noise with chatter. Have been there before for lunch and much quieter & enjoyable. The atmosphere is low lighting and my bad eyesight found it difficult to see the menu. Overall a most enjoyable evening and we will definitely return. It is a great location, and again the food is delicious. The price is reasonable and I regard it as very good value.
The food and service were excellent. We really loved it and will definitely be back.
Fantastic food - great wine list! Lovely ambience; recommended
The beef was bad. It was burnt. 3 month before I had a very good experience, but this time I was unfortunately dissatisfied.
Very noisy with loud fast beat music - not conducive to relaxing and digesting food. I opted for the vegetarian option because it seemed the most interesting but in fact it was very boring and bland. The waitress overfilled the red wine glasses and kept topping them up even though we had no food as yet. Overall I felt the restaurant had too much on and everything seemed very stressed. I love the shop but would not go to the restaurant again.
Fabulous place with amazing market. Great find
Very attentive staff
We all enjoyed our burgers and the salads were very fresh.
We also made purchases from market hall downstairs which is extremely well stocked and quite eclectic
