Rosa Madre is the most authentic Italian restaurant in Dublin. We are located in the heart of Temple Bar, one of the most exciting and vibrant areas of Dublin with great shops, bars and many five stars hotels.
We specialize in fresh fish, delivered daily by local suppliers and we guarantee to always have the finest quality available. Our seafood cuisine is characterized by the simple quality of the catch. We place our orders during the night, directly from the port where the fish is delivered to ensure we always get the freshest product available.

My wife and I went here last minute and we are glad we did. Food was amazing, the daily fish was cooked perfect, deboned table side. Everything we ate was amazing, we will be back.

Food was lovely and service was excellent. Had an amazing starter with raw fish, just like home (Calabria, Italy) and tasty pasta al dente. Highly recommended and we will definitely go back. It’s a bit pricey but worth to go for a special occasion.

I ve been waiting for a long time to dine here, so my expectations were probably high.
The whole dinner was disappointing.
The "tonnarelli con astice" were not tasty and they always come with a small piece of astice on the side, but not in Rosa Madre.
We paid 4.5 for a bottle of mineral water but the waiter served just 2 glasses and let us thirsty for the rest of the night.
We finally asked for an "amaro" that never arrived.
A recommendation for the owner:
Big prices dont make a big restaurant

I highly recommend the grilled lobster, absolutely delicious. The ravioli with ricotta and truffle is a great dish too. My favorite Italian restaurant in Dublin.

Very good food and fantastic atmosphere. Pasta with lobster was outstanding. However, they took quite a long time to serve us as they had a table with 30 people and seemed a bit overwhelmed. While I understand the situation, would have appreciated a bit more of consideration and further gestures coming from the waiters. Overall we waited for 1:30 hour for our food between starters and mains. Having been there other 2 times I know it's not normal, but still something they should watch out for.

Fast becoming a favourite! Excellent food- oysters so fresh and delicious! Both black sole and salt crusted sea bass ordered by our party were excellent but the salt crushed bass was the winner. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. We will be back.

Disappointed in the starter dishes of prawns and scallops. Not interesting and dry. The pasta with tomatoes and crab was very mediocre. The desert of fruits filled with gelato was quite DIVINE and very innovative.

It is a nice restaurant but for small groups, definitely not for more than 5, the waiter did not have the best attitude with us, and some prices are excessive, especially, the wine.

This restaurant came highly recommend by our hotel and it did not disappoint us. The food was excellent, full of flavor and very fresh and authentic. The dessert I can not say enough about is was Spectacular Fruittini Gelato was both amazing in flavor and presentation... WOW..

The service by the staff was superb and made our experience that much more special.

We found this gem in the heart of the Temple bar area on Crow Street. The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. It is an authentically Italian food experience.

Over a 10 day period, we had 3 dinners at this restaurant and discovered excellence every time. Really big wine selection with every region of Italy represented. I will be back to this place.

We went to Rosa Madre for its seafood and authentic pasta/risotto. We got appetisers and main for each and shared all among four of us, the staff were very nice and friendly, served portions on each plate, and we enjoyed the food and hospitality very much.
I often get disappointed by Italian restaurants in Ireland, but I enjoyed perfect al dente pasta and risotto, in delicious sauces with fresh ingredients. Carpaccio was very good, and baby octopus in tomato sauce was full of flavour...
I'll definitely go back. A must go Italian place for seafood lovers.

My brother and I are doing a dinner out once a month in Dublin enjoying different restaurants and Rosa Madre was our pick this month.
It was so damn good that we may have to scratch the next restaurant so we can eat here again.
The food here is magic, you feel like you have stepped inside a little gem that could be up any busy side street in Rome or Tuscany.
The scallops with breadcrumbs, parmesan, basil and cherry tomatoes were unreal for starters! My brother had the oysters....equally unreal! They tasted like they had literally just been taken out of the sea.
I would recommend this little gem to anyone and everyone!
We can't wait to go back.

Friday night in Rosa Madre with my wife and eldest daughter was a great night out. The food and wine was top notch and really authentic, I had Spaghetti and clams and it was perfect.
Service was seamless and it will be a destination in hopefully the near future for us.

Rose Madre is probably the best Italian restaurant in the city with very authentic Italian cooking - great pasta dishes and an excellent place to eat fish - the baked scallops in breadcrumbs are a real treat as is the fish cooked in salt crust. The restaurant has a very relaxed ambience - there is a great sense of everything being under control, it is very comfortable with reasonable space between tables. The service is efficient, professional and friendly. Rose Madre also has a great wine list.

We were a group of 8 for a family get-together. I’ve been here a few times & loved it.
The fish dishes are definitely worth it.
V limited vegetarian options :( though.
However, the tomato gnocchi looked like Heinz beans spread out over a large plate. It was a bit bland and presentation is really unappetising. This was really disappointing.
Wine is good but overall the wine list is very expensive. Most bottles start around €35-40 so it can be pricey enough for what you get.
Overall, great for fish. Wine lists could do with some more reasonable offerings.

We dined in Rosa Madre last Saturday and had, as before, the most delicious fish dishes. The service was warm and attentative and the wine recommendation perfect. We were seated upstairs, which is a cosy area that wraps around the staircase but allows a decent space between the tables. We had sea bass, baked in salt crust, black role meuniere for two, and a super poached lobster salad. The star of the deserts is their fruit icecreams, mandarin, passionfruit, walnut and lime icecreams all stuffed into their own fruit skin. A close second was the cannolo!
Rosa Madre is a wonderful restaurant with the finest quality fish and great staff. Definitely 5 Stars!
