Three years ago my sister and I dreamt of owning our own cafe. Six months later we opened the door to Farmer Browns, serving lunch and brunch. We had 12 seats and a kitchen – more bedsit than bistro! We decided to make simple, delicious and quirky Irish/American inspired dishes. We only used Ireland’s artisan, free range, organic and homegrown produce to showcase how quality ingredients can make simple outstanding food. Suddenly the word got out and we realised that our little brain child was growing, we invested in a new kitchen, outside area and more seats. A year later we opened our doors for dinner, serving delicious burgers, steaks, wings, ribs and salads. In spring 2014 we added our very own vegetable garden at the front of the restaurant where we grow all of our own herbs and as much veg as we can, to keep our menu fresh and seasonal. Now we are living the dream and with a wonderful team around us we strive to provide simple and delicious food in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

No early bird menu because it was a match day but the place was pretty quiet. Very short sighted. Should also mention it on their website that that was the case. Food was good. Beer a little expensive. One member of staff was very attentive. The brown haired member of staff was too busy looking at his phone all night to pay anyone any attention. Didn’t even acknowledge me coming in the door right beside him. Food quantity is very good. Atmosphere is alright. Convenient for a match day.

Taco starter was ok, burgers really good, service very slow. Draught beer on menu but they have none?? Wine very expensive. Be carefull when booking and asked to get table"indoors" or you will be stuck out in gazebo like structure like we were.

Looking at it from the outside, you wouldn’t think much. But you definitely will want to go in. Staff is friendly. The burgers and fries are absolutely fantastic!

We waited more than 20 minutes for our food to be served.
We ordered smash avocado thinking it was an healthy option it turned out been a very greased ciabatta with a miscellaneous of ingredient including also avocado. Parmesan chips a very generous portion pity it was more garlic than parmesan

Food was amazing, busy even on a Monday night. Service was good. The only issue was a few more flies but your going to get that on a warm evening sitting outside.

Booked this restaurant for a meal before the Billy Joel Concert, we had a lovely table outside which was very comfortable. The service was friendly and efficient. We both ate from the burger menu, mu husband had the massey ferguson ( beef) and I had the Lamborghini ( chicken), both were very tasty and the fires were delicious.
We had a nice bottle of wine, and finished the meal with the eton mess cheesecake ( delicious) and the cheeseboard . The cheeseboard was enormous! far too much , there is no way one person could eat it after a meal, but it was very good, we just felt like it was a waste of food ( we even joked about putting some of it in my handbag for later!!)
All in all it was a very enjoyable meal and we would definitely go back again.

The food is good. It's a very small restaurant, unless they have the outdoor section open. I wish they had more side options (but this is true of most places in Ireland, it seems.) The twists on your typical burger/sandwich were very nice.

Nice dining area, very warm and cosy. The staff were extremely friendly. However the food let them down. I ordered the chicken wings main portion. The chicken wings weren’t great. They were dry and a few of the chicken wings had no sauce on them. I’ve had chicken wings here before, and for “lovin dublin’s” best brunch place/place to get chicken wings I have to say I was disappointed.

Overall I cannot fault the food, it was incredible! Myself and my girlfriend went here for lunch and both got the zetor burger with chips and it was so tasty, I have never had chips like the ones we had here and the burger was out of this world!

It was so good, we went back the following morning for brunch and again it was just incredible! I got the healthy option and my girlfriend got the eggs benedict and again the food was not like anything else you would get anywhere else.

A potential black mark could be the price but with all the ingredients being so healthy and fresh it warrants the higher price than one might expect in a similar restaurant.

10/10 I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I enjoyed the food however just wanted to make a note that there was a power outage shortly before we arrived and that meant there were only burgers and salads available - not ideal but we went ahead with it anyway due to the short notice.
While I enjoyed the burger I didn’t expect to have to pay the full price for the meal considering the price should have included burgers and fries (there was a side salad added to the plate but this was not requested so I didn’t expect to have to pay for this.) I would recommend the restaurant look at this policy if it should happen again.

I used to love the nachos here. Unfortunately they ate no longer on the menu.

Despite the place being half empty it took an age to be served and food out food to arrive.

The place itself was very cold. It got colder every time someone came and went.

When the food arrived it became cold very quickly due to the temperature inside the restaurant.

Food and staff were very nice.

Would probably only return to the rathmines location tho.

Very bad experience. I was waiting for an special occasion to go for dinner in this place and got very disappointing. After checking the Dinner Menu online, we realized there that was completely different, just one type of wings and mainly burgers for main dish. I tried the chicken with couscous and was not great.
Just the dessert was good. The service too.
Not cheap neither.

Was so disappointed! It’s a house with no attempt to make it feel anything other than someone who quickly converted their living room and front patio to a dining area! Menu did not have all that was advertised on their site. Staff trying to fill seats telling people “food only takes minutes to put together” leaving images of all precooked food. Left without even ordering! No spirits either just a disaster!

Booked a 6:45pm reservation online and by the time I got there I was told all tables were booked long time ago and my reservation is not valid.
Had to spend another 20 min with my friend searching for another restaurant on a Friday night, in the rain.

This was in a very unexpected location but our initial scepticism disappeared once inside and we saw the decor and the food! Overall we had a lovely meal. I had the burger and it was amazing. A suggestion might be to ensure that kids meals are plain unless the parents are warned. We got quite spicy goujans and chicken fillet-the kids ate the food and enjoyed it to a point but eventually it became too spicy. Thankfully they could steal some of daddy's steak!

Overall a good experience in a quaint restaurant. We would recommend and definitely go back.
