Brasserie 16 at Devoncourt
A Friendly Welcome, Excellent Food and Good Service are our Priority.
Very good, value for money, food. The staff could have been more attentive and friendly. They seemed rather busy doing other things and we sat at the table for a very long time after our meal before we caught a waiters eye for coffee. The hotel ambience was very nice, we really appreciated having a nice lounge to sit in after our meal. The happy hour drinks were a lovely surprise.
Lovely food waitress/waiters all very helpfull went back again a few days later.
Needed to find somewhere special, good selection of food, reasonably priced, cosy
Just what we wanted.
Limited menu as a carvery was available, food was OK but nothing special. No dessert menu brought even though requested, kept trying to catch a server's eye but couldn't, would have gone and asked again but by that time we didn't want one, shame as desserts going to other tables looked lovely.
Great steak! Food is lovely and the evening specials are a good idea
Bar service from Josh excellent! Restaurant was poor menu was very uninspiring and carvery was very disappointing. Meat was tough, gammon salty and potatoes and veg old, hard and no flavour! This was a special occasion and was very disappointed.
A return visit that didn't disappoint us. Great food, great service. We shall be back!!
A recent stay with 3 adults and 3 grandchildren at Brasserie 16 at Devoncourt, and we all enjoyed the breakfasts with a good choice of food hot and cold. The Sunday Carvery was also very good and good value.
Perfect as always! Excellent food, wine, service and location. Choice of five meats and numerous vegetables with the carvery. Good choices on the A La Carte menu too including starters and desserts. Very popular with locals and holiday makers alike.
Went here based on tripadvisor reviews. Turned up & immediately felt regret. It’s a dated, drab & tatty hotel restaurant. Food was poor. We later found out that they give guests a bottle of wine to write a good review.
Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend and will definitely go again if I’m in the area.
Always dine here when we are down here on holiday.
Have been to the Devoncourt before and returned knowing that we would have great food for a great price. We shall return in the near future.
Friendly, helpful staff, decor a little dated but spotless, comfortable and in lovely location for views on a clear day. Delighted to have the healthy option of a full slimming world friendly menu alongside the main ones. Good solid menu choices all well presented and excellent value, plan to return for a cravery.
The restaurant is very dated. The exterior of the restaurant is very ugly and the menu is seemingly from the 1970s. The food itself was reasonably well cooked, but the choice was limited. The staff were friendly and helpful.
My best carvery yet and all food was first class. We shall come regularly
The Carvery was excellent and the service was also excellent. Such a lovely
I recommended to go by my Slimming World Consultant - I chose from the Healthy Option
excellent except for the chocolate mousse - this tasted bitter.
Sunday night carvery has become a regular thing and would (and have) recommended to others at local holiday park. ❤️ It here!
We were pleased with our decision to dine here with our relatives who had come for a few days. The staff were pleasant and the food good. Two had the carvery and two had mains from the alacarte menu.
Last carvery serving so not full selection of meat!
Once again, carvery was excellent including bar and Restaúrant service.
attentive staff, good ambience and great food - I will be back!!
Very good service from pleasant staff. Eat on carvery night and couldn’t fault the food in a comfortable dining room.
Excellent for locals and holidaymakers alike. Superb carvery! 🍽
we enjoyed breakfast & dinner on 3 days all very good , waiting staff all very friendly & helpful
The website was misleading in the fact that it said the lunch menu was available on Wednesday’s and fridays, when you clicked on the section it brought up a wonderful menu, but in reality it was a carvery only which was nice for a roast lunch, it was not what we were expecting such as the scallops etc. We sat down and within a few seconds the waitress was there asking us if we wanted something to drink, we were not given a wine list so how did we know what we wanted. It was obviously a pensioners day out, which is ok by us but that was the ambience. The restaurant itself is very tired, it was most certainly not the way it is portrayed, not happy at all. I hae attached a photo of what the web shows you as the lunch option.
I would highly recommend the Saturday steak deal, at £16 is excellent value and includes a glass of wine. I recently paid £25:50 for a fillet steak at Miller & Carters in Exeter and the sirloin I had at Brasserie 16 was equally as good.
The pudding were also excellent, but personally I thought they were too big, but at £6:95 the size reflected on the price, definitely a man sized portion. A half size option for the ladies might be worth considering at a reduced price.
The bar area is comfortable for pre-meal or post meal drinks.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place.
Excellent Sunday carvery. Good food, good value, excellent service.
Pork and veggies very nice, gammon very salty and spuds tasted like reheats. Sticky toffee pudding lovely with custard. All food hot.
