We have spent months researching where to source the best steaks from around the world and the results of that exploration is there is no better beef than Irish and we are proud to say that we serve only the market-best at Tomahawk.
Tomahawk has 80 delightful seats for you and your party to choose from. We have comfy corners matched with matte timber tables adorned with leather seats, where diners can enjoy their delicious meals under the ambient street lighting that pours in from above. Or you can choose to perch comfortably along the gorgeous timber dining bar set around our open kitchen and watch the theatre of a professional kitchen at work in front of you.
Delicious food. Only booked a table 15 minutes earlier and received a very warm welcome. First visit. Will be back. Well done to all staff at Tomahawk
Really enjoyed our meal at Tomahawks. The portions are really good size and the steaks are amazing. I love the fact that the waitress brought out the different options to us prior to us ordering and went through everything with us. Would definitely go back :)
Gorgeous food. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
Excellent food and service, but let down by an inferior wine list.
Had a wonderful meal on Saterday. Service was great an beautiful meal ,
Amazing, couldn’t have found a better place for my fiancé’s birthday! Our server was lovely attentive and great help when it came to menu choices! I have recommended to all my friends and if I am ever back in Dublin this is where I will be going! Outstanding!
Food was very good.
The staff were all very friendly and good however the service was extremely slow.
We waited a very long time to 1st of all get our drinks, order our food....
A table of 4 so not a big table, the place was not totally full either.
Table booked for 7:45pm..... mains did not come out for nearly 2 hours after we first sat down.... the service was incredibly slow but thankfully we were not in a rush.... our waiter was a very nice man so no complaints there....
one other thin was the side option for spinach...... there was only a tiny amount in it so we had to ask did they run out of stock.... in fairness they promptly apologised and cooked up a plate of spinach...
other than that it was great and it would not put me off giving it another go.
Ordered Delminico and Sirlion steaks and disappointed that meat was tough. Salads were very good. Probably would not go back. Quality of food for price was not worth it.
Had a business dinner there and the staff and ambiance was pleasant. The menu is expensive and from this I ordered a medium rare T bone steak. The steak was cooked medium and this took away from my experience. The waitress did ask if everything was ok, but I felt that this was more of a comment than a genuine enquiry. I explained that my steak was not to my satisfaction - however - I declined to have it replaced as this would have created an awkward situation with my guest eating while I have no food. And, it does take a long time for food to arrive.
While the restaurant is pleasant, with prices of c€34-38 for our steaks (before accompaniments) there is absolutely no excuse or scope for presenting the main ingredient overdone.
Amazing, one of the most good culinary experience of my life, top service, top food.
We were a party of 6 on a Saturday evening. All of us 6 were very delighted by the great meet and the good service. We will for sure come back and recommend the restaurant to others.
This is the second time we’ve eaten here , the steaks are amazing . Lovely atmosphere , attentive , friendly staff ,great to be able to see into kitchen and watch the chefs working .well worth the €. Looking forward to going back to try the Tomahawk steak .
Fantastic food. Fantastic service overall great experience
Amazing! Would highly recommend this restaurant
When you pay 35-40 for a steak I find it galling to pay extra for sauce. Overall enjoyed the experience but would not survive in leaner times.
One of the best meals I’ve had out! Amazing food and really friendly staff.
Very disappointing experience. Food was rather bland and service was very slow. Changed servers during the meal. Had to go to bar for a refill on my drink.
Really happy with everything from service to food!
Was here with my father for his birthday and he couldn't stop talking about how much he enjoyed it so that's a good sign!
reports that the restaurant was good were completely founded , we dined there the evening of Sunday 23rd september with another couple a hostess showed us to our table explained the menu and served our wine choices . We started with oysters and all shared a main's special served as a starter before moving on to exceptional steaks . Simply excellent in every way.
Great beef, a little dry; had the Tomahawak to share
We came to this place for the first time - I booked this place for my birthday and we were really impressed with the food. 5 people had steaks and I had fish - all very very good. I would definitely recommend this steakhouse
Lovely restaurant with the most amazing steaks, perfectly cooked. A tip for the ladies would be to share a steak as not only are they very well cooked they are enormous and I was, for the first time, defeated as I could not fit in another morsel!
The wine menu had limited descriptions of the wine which made it hard to choose especially when our server did not seem to be educated in recommending the right wine so it would be nice to either see a better wine menu or better trained servers in this area.
Of all the places you can have a steak in Dublin this is the best! The service is truly top of the line and the food is worth a drive to get there! What looks like a 1930's New York whiskey bar, nestled on the edges of Temple Bar. A must for steak lovers, and food lovers a like.
Family get together. Really nice dishes. Very well presented. Will return again soon.
Great steaks - plenty of choice of cuts and the meat was of real quality. Staff knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Bit low on atmosphere but it was a Tuesday night that we visited.
Was excellent-no complaints
Slightly expensive but it is steak in Temple Bar-one of the only decent places to get a steak in Temple Bar
I had scallops to start and fillet steak for main, the food was flawless. However the service was poor and we were left for long periods without water or drinks
Over all a decent choice, would recommend. Child friendly and reasonably good value.
We enjoyed our meal in Tomahawk as a party of 6. The food was very good. We were disappointed at the end to see we were charged €20 for water that was being refilled into a bottle by staff without knowing it was being added to our bill. Overall a good experience otherwise.
Wonderful food. We have the most amazing Steak with the yummiest sides. Lovely wine and great company. The service was swift and pleasant. Top notch
Absolutely outstanding food I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.
Service was excellent and even brought the different cuts of meat to the table to explain the difference.
Good restaurant, nice ambience, staff are fantastic, I found the smoky flavor from the charcoal burning grill a little overpowering and took away from the quality of the steaks. Also, the Bearnaise that came with my steak was very pretty to look at but didn't really taste of anything. Overall a very good night and I would be happy to return but there are some basic issues I would expect to be fixed for the price you are paying.
Superb food! Excellent service and good wine selection
fabulous steaks , incredible service good value for quality food
Been here several times. It’s excellent. One of *the* places in Dublin for a steak. A fine restaurant.
The food, drinks, and service were all excellent. However, the only issue was the ambient temperature in the restaurant. It was hot. The staff informed us that the AC was on the coolest setting. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and I will definitely return.
Had a late lunch/early dinner last Sunday. My wife and I went there for the signature dish: the Tomahawk steak to share. It was delicious, beautiful presented and well accompanied by sides. We share also a recommended started and was delicious as well. We share also a bottle of good Italian wine and a great dessert. A stunning experience, we do really recommend them and we look forward to come back to Dublin to enjoy another superb meal over there.
Outstanding melt in the mouth fillet steak,I’ve been to many 5 star restaurants around the world and your steak is hard to beat
Probably the most tasteless steak ive had, very very dissapointed we all were, wine was terrible. House wine. 46 euro. Desert i wanted they ran out of and the one i got looked like it came from iceland grocery store. Fx buckley is miles ahead
