All the food was fantastic and the service was just as good. Can't wait to go back!
My fiance and I had a fantastic experience for our anniversary and for his birthday. They accommodated us (we wanted to take advantage of the Tuesday Raid the Cellar special only available in the Enoteca!) and gave great recommendations. We loved everything from the wine, to the cheese, to the main course and dessert and were treated with complimentary treats for our anniversary and birthday celebrations. We can't wait to come back!
We came four our anniversary and to celebrate an engagement and had the $62 four-course meal, which is a big amount of food--we were very full by dessert! Service was very attentive, and there is an extensive wine list here. Our server we found to be a bit too pushy with the bottles of wine when we just requested wine by the glass, but I do believe he was trying to be helpful in terms of what would pair best with our dinners and was very knowledgable about wine, which I'm sure aficionados appreciate. Overall a nice experience but not something I would return to again and again due to the formality and price point. The pasta course was our favorite part--literally mouth-watering thinking about it now! A great spot for a special occasion or high-end business meal.
In town for a new grand-daughter. Ended up here almost by accident. Was talking with a friend earlier that day and he had mentioned. Sitting in the hospital and not sure what to do for dinner. “Let’s try this” - made reservation on Open Table from the hospital room. What a dining experience. Had to wait a little for our table to be prepared. Ended up wandering over to the Salumi station and chatting with Mark. Tasted a couple cheeses. Kate was our waitron - very careful about my spouse’s gluten/soy issues. Food was wonderful. Mark came by later and talked with us again for a while. I could gush about the whole thing. Nothing was less than perfect! Gift certificate for the new parents, and we’ll be back when we come visit again.
Underwhelming in terms of service and food quality. Wine selection was decent, but overall, there are better places to dine at in Baltimore.
Possibly the best food I've ever had. Service and presentation were excellent. Also a great value given how outstanding the food is. Only complaint is that the complimentary valet parking wasn't mentioned on the website.
It was awesome!!
Good ambiance for my business dinner but the food was disappointing. My $34 pork entree is the worst meal and value I have had in a long time. I have been to this restaurant many times over many years, and it gets worse each time I return.
A very nice eatery. I ordered a three course dinner. First was grilled calamari, did not realize it would appear to be steamed, 3.5 of 5 stars. Secondo sausage stuffed tortellini with pistachios. 5.5 of 5. Last course salmon over a bed of mini cauliflower, grape tomatoes and other veggies. I mistakenly asked for medium rare. End piece of salmon was very good, further on inside was raw. Sent it back thinking they would do the dish over. Not so, but salmon was good. Wine was excellent, Brezza San Lorenzo Dolcetto d’Alba. Thought it was unusual to put in a white wine glass, waiter said it was ok.
Excellent service and food.
Everything from the wine and food to the service was top notch. Thank you for a special evening with my now girlfriend, we will be back again for more.
It is always a wonderful experience dining at Cinghiale & Katie and I love it!
Always a pleasure and everything was delicious. We were a bit disappointed this time that the Chefs selection of charcuturrie was a little less inpressive than usual however. It appeared that there were fewer choices this particular evening. Our calamari, gnocchi and spaghetti with bacala were all wonderful. We look forward to returning.
All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food was excellent. The staff was attentive but unobtrusive. The decor is very attractive.
We arrived on time for our reservation only to find a lobby full of others waiting- as apparently they had overbooked. 20 minutes in, the Maitred' acknowledged the wait initially and apologized. The cheese/meat slicer (who was working extremely hard) offered us a small sample why we waited. This was appreciated and helped alleviate some frustration (plus we were starving). We were then not seated for 45 minutes after arrival. We asked for Pellegrino and a cheese sample as we sat down. As were still waiting 30 minutes for the pellegrino and bread/cheese, we had to beg our waitress for plain bread. After re-asking multiple times, we received Pellegrino 45 minutes later. IN fact, I flagged down the someillier who dug up a bottle for us (they had run out). The cheese plate arrived a few moments after that. We ate our first course 2 hours 15 minutes after our original reservation. We finally left 3 hours after we had arrived. We can understand the overbooking (although not pleased as we had a reservation), but our server was MIA, unapologetic, and probably spoke all of 2 sentences to us the entire evening. It felt like she never wanted to make eye contact. She never acknowledged that it took 45 minutes for us to get a bottle of sparkling water or a simple cheese plate. She acted stressed and bothered that we were trying to follow up on our food. Sadly, this was the worst service we could ever remember having at a restaurant. Again, we understand that it was a cluster situation, but an apology or updates on our order could have gone a long way. It certainly made our 20th wedding anniversary memorable- but for the wrong reasons.
Excellent food and wine, stellar service as always. Our favorite special occasion spot!
Amazing deal for the four course menu! The food was amazing
It's hard to write about Cinghiale without repeating myself. My wife and I have been goingseveral times a year since it opened, and it is consistently exceeding our best memories -- what more need I say. Maybe it's just that the food matches our palate, but it's more than that. There aren't many places where you feel that every bit is an "oh yeah!" experience -- this is what food should be. and that's "just" the Enoteca, BTW. In the dining room you'll add a little elegance and leisure, but in my experiencethe food is equally good either place.
This place was wonderful. The service was a little drawn out but the server was very nice. The portions were very well done and the food presentation was beautiful.
Celebrated our 1 year anniversary, our waiter Juan was great: Attentive but not intrusive. We were given a complimentary champagne toast and the 4 course tasting menu was a great option.
Cinghiale never fails to hit the bull's eye. I know of no place where you can get foie gras, sweetbreads, and Terre Nere Prephyloxera, and have them all be perfect. If you have not been, you really need to go.
A spectacular wine list with some wonderful food.
Terrific attention to detail and hospitality from everyone at this very fine Italian restaurant
The hostess went above and beyond to ensure that we received the table that we wanted (for an important “meet the in law” dinner). She graciously went so far as to show me a few table options even though the restaurant was busy.
The bar was great and prepared a perfect Negroni Sbagliato
Our waiter’s food were perfect for our group. The food was expertly prepared and the wine list was comprehensive and reasonably priced
I can’t say enough positive things about this restaurant
We have been to Cinghiale a few times previously. We have always had a great dinning experience. The service is excellent. The food was wonderful with many menu options to choose from. If you go you will not be disappointed.
The service was outstanding and the pasta and entree surpassed expectations!
As soon as we entered we were greeted by Racquel(?) an extremely pleasant and friendly hostess. She explained that there were actually two dining areas “ enoteca” a more casual and bar side and the “ Osteria” which was a fancier dining room. They have the same menus but different vibes. We really like thatshe took the time to explain the the lay of the land to us. We chose the quieter Osteria side
Our waiter Andrew was professional and so helpful and good natured but not overbearing
The menu is quite complete with all the standards and lots of other exciting dishes
The wine list had quite a selection of reasonable priced wines
We had just come from a movie and gorged on popcorn so didn’t want a large meal. Half portions of pasta and risotto are available
The word half portion is a misnomer as the portions are large
We spilt a salad and the grilled calamari. We had half portions of tortilini and risotto.
Everything was tasty flavorful and was presented beautifully
There was not a misstep throughout the meal
I will definitely be returning soon
Anniversary
Service was good but food was quite bland.
Overall I left disappointed.
The food was bold but thoughtful. Radicchio salad was too much for me but the angel hair with beef ragu was melt in your mouth delicious. The duck was perfectly cooked at medium and the sauce was exactly what was needed. Dessert was panna cotta and gelato, not too heavy after a large meal but just what the taste buds needed to wrap up.
A superb restaurant with excellent food and service in a beautiful setting.
Great dinner with friends. The atmosphere was fun and friendly, the food was delicious. I had the veal and it was wonderful. The dessert crostada was delicious.
Cinghiale is a very special place with a Bistro feel, action, people, ambiance and to top it
all off excellent food and many, many choices.
You can tell they take their business very seriously and strive to give the diner and exceptional
experience with thoughtful touches, a varied wine menu and great silent service.
We attended for my son's 25th birthday. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, attentive, and quite helpful. The food was excellent--even the arugula salad--was delicious (my son couldn't stop talking about it). I enjoyed the risotto, as it wasn't gummy or overcooked. Even the leftovers were delicious. I accompanied the risotto with lamb. It was so tasty!
Before my son arrived, they took the candles and appeared after the meal with a delicious slice of cake, lit with candles and ice cream.
Thank you so much for a memorable evening!
Excellent choices in Nona’s menu! Wonderful dinner!
The service was outstanding the only issue was our Halibut as well as our spinach clams and mussel dish was over salted .The rest of our meal was good
It’s a great looking restaurant with great service
A good stand by with interesting offerings in a an engaging atmosphere. Usually predictable with satisfying results, but the last experience was good, not great. The Halibut entry was somewhat tasteless in spite of interesting ingredients that promised more flavor than it delivered. Soup was outstanding but the salad could have come out of a bag. A bit disappointing. The service is dependable and the staff is engaging and aims to please.
We would describe the service as inattentive and it didn’t appear to be a busy Saturday night. I out of 4 of us enjoyed our dishes. The others were mediocre at best. We were really looking forward to this dinner and were sadly disappointed.
Dinner Celebration for my daughter’s 21st Birthday was fabulous from beginning to end. Exceptional service, delicious food and spectacular wine list! This was our second visit to Cinghiale and was even more impressive than our first! A favorite of ours now when in Baltimore!
Cinghiale was fantastic as always. The food is amazing and the service never disappoints.
Excellent food. Our server was helpful and fun. She made the meal even more enjoyable. I'll be back!
