Great location, and staff were super friendly. Would like to see more vegetarian options to include vegan options.
People working there were not effective at telling me who to go to for seating. Otherwise, everything was excellent
Food was amazing however it took very long for our food to reach our table
I love the setup of B&B....a contemporary twist on "industrial chic" with a garage door opening that leads to the Tysons Corner Center Plaza. Huge selection of beer flights and the food is fresh and delicious. I personally love the seared tuna salad (and all the salads!), and the pork belly is a definite crowd pleaser. Great spot for a business breakfast or lunch. Happy hour is a scene...one of the #1 hot spots in Tysons for sure! Everyone treats us so well every time we go, and I highly recommend a visit.
Great evening on the patio and inside with a fun atmosphere.
We had great service and our food was amazing!!! I will definitely be back!
We called ahead to ask that our reservation please be changed to 5 instead of 4 for a special occasion. The host refused and said we would have to sit on the patio. Upon checking in, the young man who seated us had no problem accommodating 5. The service was rushed and not at all personal. When B&B opened 4 years ago, it was a place our family would go often and for special occasions, now, it is just another mediocre hotel restaurant. No longer special and no longer on our list as a go-to. Makes me sad because we have celebrated many happy occasion there.
The food and service were wonderful. It was very noisy but very much worth it. The server and manager were great. Service was very fast and all of the food was served hot.
We took our kids out for a quick Friday night dinner after running errands in the mall. It was packed with Friday Happy Hour goers. Food was pretty, if not correct. The roasted broccoli was very hard to eat and undercooked.
The noise was fine because we had two little boys, but it would not have been a pleasant place for a date or trying to talk.
Our waiter Wes was great and the food was delicious.
Wonderful food- the charred salad is EVERYTHING! Excellent staff and awesome cocktails. My new spot!
I didn't know Barrel & Bushel had breakfast until we stayed at Hyatt. We've eaten there before. Breakfast is actually really good. We ate there several times while staying at Hyatt. Cinnamon bun is really good, fruit is very fresh. Now onto brunch, my husband had a fried chicken benedict that he really enjoyed. He said the only thing he didn't like about it was that "bread" part of the benedict was french toast. He would get it again but with toast or english muffin. My friend really enjoyed an egg sandwich and another friend liked his salad with chicken. Me on the other hand, I did not like my grilled cheese and soup. It was not good. I would get something else next time.
Pork belly appetizers -- great. Charcuterie board -- lacking in quantity (small) and quality (particularly in light of the price).
Service was slow at the start but once we were noticed everything was great. Great happy hour prices and dinner choices were unique and tasty! I’ll return.
Was our first time here and the decorations and vibe to this place are awesome! We came in very eager to try the food and drinks. We mentioned to our server that it was our first time there and didn’t know what to get but she wasn’t very helpful. We did not really enjoy our meal because it lacked a lot of flavor.
We LOVE coming weekly for brunch and the staff - from the reception to the servers to the kitchen - tries to make everything exactly as we want it (which usually differs from the menu!) Our last trip was a little bumpy as one entree was not prepared as requested and needed to be sent back -only to come out wrong a second time and at the end of everyone else's meal. That said, the effort was made to make it right and it won't affect our weekly visit. Just beware of busy times and/or inexperienced servers if you're asking for something out of the ordinary. The salmon is excellent as is the cod, the corn/avocado side and the roasted broccoli is heavenly with its roasted garlic. We appreciate the effort made every time we arrive to make it a perfect visit.
Awesome burgers, huge salad and tasty poutine! I may go again next week--it was that good.
Very big, trendy and busy place. The food and our waiter were amazing, though!
Our food was delicious but unfortunately our service was subpar. Our server forget to enter an item we ordered and then still charged us; not the worst but it would have made up for the other lackluster elements. Our drinks were not refilled and he checked in one time for the duration of our meal and there were empty tables so don't imagnie it was due to a busy evening. He truly seemed like he didn't want to be there. But, the food is fantastic!
Love this restaurant, however it didn't mention when I booked it that there are considerable renovations at the moment. The menu is extremely limited for drinks and they left the doors open causing it to be 100 degrees inside. Not the best experience and there should be a warning for those booking. I'm usually a big fan of this restaurant and I actually booked it and then felt awful when our group was miserable.
Visited B&B on a Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. The place wasn't crowded and the bar part of the restaurant was undergoing renovation. The server apologized for the apperance of the place and told us the work would be done in two weeks. She then proceeded to tell us it was still happy hour and recommended some small plates to try. She definitely steered us in the right direction. The pork belly sliders were good, thanks to the long cooking time. The tater tots covered in a cheese sauce and jalapenos were also good. The main courses were medicore, though. My husband had the grass-fed burger, which comes with chips as a side. The burger, itself, was fine, but they layered far too much onion jam on top. In fact, there was so much that I thought that the burger was made with two patties. I had to grilled chicken and faro bowl. The chicken was good, but the faro was underseasoned, including salt. The artichoke hearts were good, too, but there were too many cooked cherry tomatoes, which made the dish acidic and not in a good way. Our generous and friendly server was definitely the best part of our experience.
As a whiskey and beer bar. It is really lacking both. Food is OK not worth the price point charged especially with so many other good restaurants nearby that are around the same price point
Really chic atmosphere! Plenty of natural light. Delicious food and excellent service. You can access the restaurant from the mall without having to go outside, which is a plus for rainy days!
Great food. Lots of options. Relatively inexpensive.
Our server was awesome.
The main issue was cleanliness of the restaurant. Our seats had caked food on them. Looked like they wiped the tables and then nothing on the seats. Was pretty gross.
First, I did not appreciate being put at a community table with a reservation. When I make a reservation for a place, I expect my own table. Then, the server was not very polite and seemed annoyed to be serving us. She was also then very rude to the people sitting at the table next to us because they were not ordering entrees. The food was really the only redeeming quality of the experience because it was actually quite good. Not sure if I would return just for the food since everything else was so poor.
They couldn’t give us separate checks. But then the server seemed annoyed when we asked to divide it three ways because it wasn’t an even 3 way split. Said she couldn’t give us separate checks because of the construction that was going on, that there was only three terminals for the whole restaurant. Not our problem. Yet she still had to figure out the amounts for each card. We sat on the patio, all of the drinks (alcoholic or not) were served in small plastic cups. Not the same size as of you were sitting indoors. Yet we still paid the same amount for our drinks. Grilled chicken sandwich had zero flavor. Very disappointing as I’ve been there before and enjoyed it. AND was served my alcoholic beverage in a proper glass while on the patio.
Always a good spot to catch up with friends
Atmosphere was great, but food and service were mediocre. My scallops were horribly overwhelmed by cumin (a spice I love) and the tomato and cucumber salad was fresh, but otherwise uninteresting. Might go back just for drinks, but would be hard pressed to want to try other dishes.
we ordered a bottle of red wine and it was warm. Red wine should be chilled....
Our family loves this place and it's our go to. It is definitely the happy hour crowd during the week so it is loud and crowded but we still love the food and ambience.
Always great food and service!
One of the most disappointing meals I have since moving to the area four years ago. Nice location on the roof of the mall. It was a nice, sunny day and it really lit up the room. Our server was also nice. But wow, the meal was not good. Food was not terribly warm and it was one of the worst Eggs Benedict I've ever had. I made a reservation at noon after being told it was full at 11 a.m. Something wasn't quite right with that because the restaurant was maybe half full when I got there. We were seated in a far corner away from everyone else. Very, very mediocre at best. Even in the mall, there are much better restaurants. It's attached to the Hyatt-Regency and struck me as just another bad hotel restaurant. I came all the way from Silver Spring for it. Doubt I'll make that return trip anytime soon.
Everyone - but Nicole, Luis and Justin - make sure our weekly visits to B&B are flawless every time. Food is awesome (LOVE the cod, deviled eggs and corn/avo side and avo toast!) but everything is delicious. Chefs are enthusiastic about supporting special diets, requests and portions are ample. Highly recommended. Lots of fun and great experience all around!
The food was served cold and the service took a long time
This is a good restaurant for bar food. But I was left wondering why the fries were so ordinary and overwhelmed by seasoning with no particular flavor. Bleh!
However, on a nice evening, sitting out on the plaza at Tyson's makes Barrel and Bushel a good place to dine.
