Love Marco. Great dinner as usual.
Quaint Authentic Italian. Extremely friend staff. Mama Gail made us feel like family.
Must visit this gem on every visit to Atlanta. Been dining here since 2003 and pledge to visit annually. Food is always great, service and staff are always on their game. Love this place !!
Music was very loud after 8:00 pm. Somewhat ruined the atmosphere
Put us by the entrance. Bus girl bumped into me numerous times while clearing the table. Food was cleared while we were still eating it. We love the place normally, but the most recent time was enough to not go back for a long time
This is the best Italian restaurant in Atlanta !
So glad we found it
Nice cozy restaurant. Good food. Cool atmosphere Great place to visit with an old friend.
Super fun place to celebrate with a group - be ready to sing - for your table and others!
it was so good we booked a small Christmas gathering there ,,
Always a great time and great food at this restaurant.
One of my favorite places for birthdays, anniversaries or spacial occasion. The food is fantastic and the staff makes you feel special. White table cloth, fresh roses and wonderful drinks make for a dressy atmosphere. But they are also loads of fun - disco ball included!
Another fabulous birthday celebration. Thanks for a memorable night
Have eaten here before and enjoyed the food and service was excellent.
However went back to introduce friends to this restaurant and had mediocre food and bad service. There is never an excuse for bad service on a Tuesday night.
On Saturday, October 13th, my husband and I chose to have dinner early, a perfect time to appreciate the music (the American songbook and the sounds of the 1960s) and a relaxed atmosphere. The food is attractively-plated and delicious. Recommend the Fried Calamari with Marinara, the Scallopini of Veal in Champagne Sauce with Mushrooms Dolce Latte, the Spaghetti and Meals (It may sound ordinary, but comfort food so wonderfully prepared is anything but.), and the Tiramisu. A nice touch was the Lemon Sorbet as a palate cleanser. Il Localino’s Lemon Sorbet is also served as a dessert, and I would highly recommend it. It truly has the taste of lemon. If you are so inclined, my husband enjoyed his Cucumbertini, and we both enjoyed Montepulciano (a charming hill town set in the Sienna province in Tuscany) red wine. Last, but not least, Mr. Marco, the Server, excels in his profession, making the dining experience perfect. For Italian dining with food, service and atmosphere that hit all the right notes, Il Localino is the place.
It was a double date for my boyfriend’s birthday. No one in the party had been before. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The owner (I think?) came to the table and chatted with us, which set the tone for a very welcoming atmosphere. For dessert they sang Happy Birthday and brought us complimentary shots! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food was absolutely fantastic. We had a great time and will be returning again!
AUTHENTIC w/anambiamce twist...
Pepperadell Sinatra!
Fab lamb, cheeses, fresh canolis, crusty hot bread to die for. Ambiance FUN, esp weekend nights
What an amazing restaurant. Fabulous food, top notch service and a perfect place for a birthday.
Asked several times for our food which had been taken to be placed in a box, but were told to wait. After 30 minutes of waiting and asking for the food we’d paid for, we left.
Not our first bad experience. There’s usually something that sucks regarding service, but the food, wine, and atmosphere is always amazing.
I know the owner would be distressed by our experience; and we will go back - it’s too much fun, but you gotta be a shark with those waiters. I’ve been duped into ordering something more expensive, been ignored, and have been disregarded once the bill is paid. I just don’t recommend it to others anymore.
Service and food all amazing!
Too loud. Too many hats. Too much money for food. Not good. Not good. Not good. Not good. Not good
We had a great time! The food was great and the customer service was amazing. The owner too special interest in us and made sure to make us feel so special! Will definitely be coming back again!!
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, service was spot on. Owner came by the table several times and had the opportunity to talk to him - he was warm and cared about the experience. I don't get to Atlanta but 2 to 3 times a year - we try to make it there when we come into town. Highly recommend for a local jewel.
Fun, frenetic with good food and good service. Tables are very close together.
As always I had a great dinner in a fun restaurant
Time after time, this place is continuously outstanding! The food was excellent, and the service was great.
We live about an hour and a half from this restaurant and it is worth the drive every time. Have been a customer for about seven years never disappoints! The service is always fabulous the food is delicious and the owners are gems. Can’t wait to go back.
Such attentive service and treated us like family- extra bites and tries. We had the greatest night
Loved-It!!! Wonderful and very beautiful dining rooms. First experience @ this place; had Osso Bucco for the first time ever, so GREAT!!! My waiter was friendly, courteous, & very prompt. I will return for sure!
Great spot for special occasions! Will be back again
We really enjoyed our evening- great seating and service. Everything was very tasty and quick service. Really fun atmosphere and music.
Crowded popular Italian been around for 20 years. Had one glass of rose, one Cesar that was soggy with heavy dressing, nice Proscuito with Mellon, chicken dish not great, very tasty prime steak special, molten cake for $165 plus tip. Lots of garlic and black pepper. Room was chilly up front. Regulars seem to prefer the back room. Bring your own tea and hopefully there won’t be a $35 corkage fee. For it.
Always excellent!!!
A must stop for me every time I’m in Atlanta.

Had a fantastic meal! My daughter had the "best alfredo I have ever had." The service was stellar, very attentive but not pushy. Fun place with lots of laterns; very eclectic.
What a gem! This place is an amazing experience - great food, excellent service and an enchanting atmosphere. It’s much larger than it appears from the outside too. It’s fun and vibrant, in a very authentic way. I loved the food too. Had a wonderful caprese salad to start, and then the chicken Parmesan. The warm fresh bread was also excellent. Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent service and food. This was my first visit. The decor is quite quirky but look past it and just enjoy the cooking. Gail is welcoming and starts the evening off right.
We have never had anything other than an exceptional meal and great service at this restaurant. among he very best authentic Italian restaurants in Atlanta. All food is prepared fresh and meticulously and they do an outstanding job with classic fare (bolognese, Piccata, Parmigiana) as well as really interesting and delicious specials. the real gem here is the service. you’re greeted warmly and looked after attentively. a no-miss bet that i HIGHLY recommend
Loved the upbeat late night atmosphere, and both the food and the service were outstanding.
Il Localino never disappoints. The food, service and ambience are wonderful. This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. I love to bring friends and family here, too. Thanks, Gale and staff for another great experience!
Amazing place! The owner is so friendly and will go around to speak to each table. They also are always giving out a free appetizer or dessert to every table. You can tell they truly care about their customers. The atmosphere is so much fun too!
Great place and lost of history - a land mark in Atlanta
