Great treat to take overseas visitors. Premier location.
Great location for a pub and amazing views, always a winner for overseas friends and visitors.
I requested a table with a great view and that's exactly what I had.
Service was excellent and the tasting paddle was a good choice for me.
Beautiful spot, beautiful food and even better beer!
Beautiful service and excellent food. I went there for my birthday, brought our own cake in last minute, and the wait staff were very nice guiding us through the meal
What I don't understand is when the restuart is 1/2 empty, why would the best table not be offered to us for a spectacular view, this after we have booked the table and yet the best tables were left open with no-one at them.
Good food and great view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Highly recommended. It's kind of romantic as well for couples going on a date. 😊
Nice experience and great food!! However the prices are extreme and the menu is rather small, need a bit more choice.
Extremely expensive for the chicken lemon and chilli ... chicken on the bone ... more meat on a budgie . You then need pay for any extras ie chips or salad .
Nice place, quality food especially kid meal. Will go back again with friends and family members.
Excellent location, ambience and service. Food a little pricey. Highly recommend for the view
Empty table by the window sitting empty all night which would’ve been great to have as seating was a little cramped but overall great night! Worth the price tag.
Fantastic restaurant with excellent views and great vibe! Prices are reasonable also.
The location, ambiance and service were all first rate. On recommendation from friends, I had gone with very high expectations of the food and I didn't think it lived up to that. The food was good but not great. Value for money I was disappointed, but would probably give it another go!
Delicious food (although not a huge variety of options) and great selection of drinks. Hands down the view is the drawcard, overlooks both the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
We celebrated Christmas in July with a friend we didn't see last Christmas. We all enjoyed marvellous steak with red win jus, onion, potato and greens, with a Cabernet Sauvignon followed by an affogato and coffee. Great conversation, company, food and wine, but winner was the view - simply to die for. Thanks for a special lunch.
Beautiful atmosphere & amazing food. The lamb was the most tender I have ever experienced.
Squire's Landing was amazing! Exceeded all expectations. We had a perfect view of the harbour bridge and opera house, and the food was exceptional.
Great food, great beer, great wine list, great desserts and an excellent view of Circular Quay, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
Great food and great view.
I will go back the next time I am in Sydney
After advising the waitress I was a coeliac she advised me against a gluten free item in the menu as she knew it would be cross contaminated. I don’t think this item should be advertised as gluten free then. But was glad of the waitress notifying me
We asked for a good view and we got the best view in the house. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
We had a lovely meal, the staff were very attentive and made our meal and birthday celebration special!
The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 6pm only a family at one corner. The view was fantastic but we were shown at the back of the restaurant and was told that the cruise ship blocking our view would leave in half an hour. Disappointed when it didn’t throughout our stay. Not sure why we were shoved at the back
Fabulous dinner with a beautiful view, and wonderful friendly staff. Thank you Squires Landing people!
I have dined here before and this time unfortunately did not meet previous experience. Food was amazing however service was very slow. Were waiting for drinks for over 20 minutes including during peak time and when we were the last few tables in the restaurant. Was very noisy which is to be expected with wooden floors and surrounded by glass which made conversation more yelling that speaking. Food was simply delicious and superbly priced for the stunning location.
Excellent, underrated restaurant. Bar downstairs lively and fun. Great for dates (drink downstairs then dinner upstairs). Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Great for food lovers and beer lovers. Left feeling merry and full of goodness!
When we first arrived, we were seated and our order was taken which all was great.
We ordered bread and oil/vinegar as starter and x2 steak as main. We found that we were waiting for quite a long time before our food had come out, but wasn’t a problem as the venue is in a beautiful setting. However we had noticed people that had ordered after us had already received their starter.
When our food finally arrived and was served by who I can only imagine was a manager as she was wearing a red shirt and the other waiters were wearing waitstaff outfits... it was to our surprise the steak. So I asked the manager/waitress where the bread was as we hadn’t received yet.. in which she said yes that’s coming out next. However we had ordered as a starter (plus is in the menu as a starter) but then the waitress had gone on to explain apparently it hadn’t been put on the docket as a starter and so she can take our steak back to wait until we had received our bread. Which we wouldn’t want to do as we had ordered our steak medium/rare and if we were to have sent the steak back it wouldn’t have tasted great if it was sat under a lamp until our bread and been served and eaten.
The waitress/manager didn’t apologise once at any opportunity.
We ate our food and then left straight away, as the whole experience was ruined by her attitude. Especially, we were sat next to wear the cutlery must be getting polished and the staff member who hadn’t apologised was stood at, what felt the whole time after this episode making it very uncomfortable to dine.
Dining on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was busy so created a nice ambiance. Fabulous view of the opera house from our table. Food was delicious however let down by my cold broccoli but this was dealt with very quickly. Nice and helpful staff.
An amazing view, great attention by staff and requests all accommodated, a lovely night out
Had requested for a table with a view but didn't receive it even though the booking was made days in advance. Menu was very limited and didn't have much variety. Service was very slow. Even our drinks took atleast 15 mins to arrive at the table. Food was not great. Both my partner and I had an upset stomach in the night post the dinner. Not worth the expensive pricing. One of the server unintentionally even commented about how I as a girl would like the sugary/sweet beer over the normal or bitter/dark beer as 'most girls prefer that", I'm sure he didn't do that intentionally but he should have probably framed that sentence in a better manner without any discrimination. Besides that I didn't have any other complaint against their service besides the slow service. The crowd there is mainly for the view I guess. Did not meet my expectations as I was really looking forward to it to celebrate my anniversary.
One of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of dining in recently, the food was amazing and the staff extremely efficient with awesome customer service.
The position gave you one of the best views while dining.
A must while in Sydney
I found the menu to be minimal and basic. Prices were inflated (probably because of the view). Table service was slow
Basically felt like a tourist trap.
This is the email I sent to them on Monday, 17th June 2019 which has yet to be responded to.
Just wanted to provide some feedback on the dining experience my family had in the restaurant on Saturday, 15th June 2019 (9:30PM Reservation).
Once again the staff were fantastic as they always are as we visit regularly.
The issue I have is with the pricing of the set-menu for vegetarians. One of our party ordered the gnocchi and the caramel tart. Which have a combined cost normally of $50 but on the night we are charged $65. Extremely, poor value for a bowl of potato pasta and a slice of a tart. And to be honest it spoilt what had been an amazing night.
It appeared that the only customers that got any sort value from the set menu were those order the steak.
I can only suggest that a reduced price for vegetarians or a more complex dish be on offer the next time a set-menu is offered.
Great location for a meal while vivid is on...would come back again to enjoy the more casual downstairs area
Squires Landing is a pleasant dining experience with great views, food and service.
The price of the set course was extortionate considering what you got. The starter was very small and the main was bulked up with shared chips and a salad. Very dissapointed.
Great location, friendly staff that had great beer recommendations. All round great experience. Our new favourite spot!
Amazing service and ambiance. The food was a bit underwhelming for the price, but still decent. They also catered to my request for a table by the window by giving us the best seat in the house Overlooking the opera house. Was the perfect spot for a date and a great overall experience.
