Very cozy inside the restaurant. Great food and service.
Didn’t like the patio dining situation as to there being a great deal of construction across from the patio and not very appealing to look at. That’s what we decided to eat inside.

We used to come to Portofino a lot - and the quality of the food seems to be going down each time we try again.
It’s not as fresh tasting as it used to anymore.
Is there a new chef?? Less fried stuff and less dried garlic or whatever is used would be better:)

Love the patio. A great wine list with a good variety of wine by the glass. The food is always good, fresh and consistent. A good variety of choices so everyone can find something on the menu. Willing to make modifications to dishes. Staff is very friendly and accomodating.

I have lived in the Buckhead area for 17 years. This was one of our favorite places for a long time, but I am afraid the food isn’t as good as it used to be. The service and ambiance is fantastic, but the pastas and sauces just don’t have the flavors and freshness that we like to have with good Italian food. They were a bit bland. We will try it again though and see if it was just what we ordered and there may be better items in the menu.

My husband and I wanted to try a different italian restaurant other than Sotto Sotto and we were very disappointed with Portofino.
Service was excellent however besides the extremely loud ambiance the food was not good. I ordered the most simplistic Italian dish - Spaghetti and meatballs - and I got over cooked spaghetti with dry meatballs and a tomato sauce that tasted just like out of a can.

Always a wonderful meal for us! It's one of our favorites in Atlanta!

Amazing service, ambiance and food!

We took our pre-teen boys for their birthdays. The food was fantastic; innovative, seasonal and well executed. Out server Seth was friendly and so accommodating to
our boys. We had a lovely evening.

Italian style menu, with limited choices. One dish that the waitress said had a little spice, was too spicey for my friend to eat. The pasta dishes seemed to have very little sauce, although the sauce tasted good. Therefore, they were mostly pasta. The interesting sounding crispy eggplant was not very interesting or great. The cold asparagus soup was good, but the only hint of asparagus was 2 tiny spears floating in the soup, The soup itself did not taste of asparagus.

Service: friendly and pleasant, but the wait for each course was very long and the restaurant was pretty empty when we were there. It was not noisy, because the room we were in had only one other occupied table, but it would be noisy if full.

Dinner for four to celebrate a birthday. Superb salads, and incredibly unique delicious entrees, halibut special, hanger steak, and pasta. Server recommended a home run Italian red. Could not have been a nicer evening! Every bite of food was mouth watering ( I know, sounds hard to believe even as I type this, but so true)

Porofino came recommended to us by close friends. They've eaten there a few times; this was our first visit. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and felt the place was quite fitting for the occasion. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. The food and service were excellent. Our waiter, Jason, made us feel right at home and more than delivered on our expectations. I would highly recommend the restaurant.

Been here many times and every experience is terrific. I went with a friend recently and it was her first time dining there. She loved it! Our server, Alvin, was awesome and was perfectly attentive. He made it even better than usual.

I thought Portofino was fine but the food was not exceptional and it was pretty expensive. I would not choose to go back to Portofino but would not detest it if someone wanted to go there. The appetizers were very salty, the salad was tiny, and the main course was good but very expensive. I did like that the restaurant was quite and had a nice atmosphere. Parking was okay too. All in all, there are better places around so I will probably not return.

Great food and the wine list is terrific! Service was excellent and the food came much more quickly than I'd expected.

Parking is a bit of a challenge, but don't let that stop you!

Mother’s Day dinner with family. Very nice. Sat on patio. Sun was a distraction for awhile but still very nice.

The appetizers were fine - squash blossom with ricotta was good. For my main, I ordered the appetizer portion of the black spaghetti and my companion ordered the appetizer portion of the lamb bolognese. I know appetizers are supposed to be small plates, but this was a joke. Especially for the price paid. Desserts were awful - tiramisu was drenched in what tasted like Hershey's syrup and the strawberry rhubarb crisp tasted like bad granola.

We had a fantastic dinner and a great time. It was a pre Mothers day dinner.

A hidden gem! We always have an enjoyable experience here. Love the patio. A few lighter seafood options would be welcome for healthier eaters, but overall the menu has much to offer all preferences.

Our waitress, Kelly, was knowledgeable about the wine list and all of the food items.

I ordered the lamb Bolognese. It had skin in the pasta which I found disgusting. I don't ever recall have lamb skin in any dish. I asked the waiter and he seemed to think that was normal.

Delightful evening! The night started off wonderfully with a kind greeting from the hostess and just got better from there. Each menu item we tried was fantastic.

This is our favorite restaurant. The food is always excellent as is the service. The prices are reasonable too. We have been there dozens of times since they opened and have never been disappointed.
