Great meal with a lovely atmosphere. Free valet was much appreciated on a Friday night in Hampden. Loved the little celebration card they had on our table when we arrived!

Everything was great. Get the Duck Tostada! Server was really helpful too.

It was a special birthday celebration for my daughter and a group of friends , no parents. I asked to have them include a cake and was assured they would do “dirt” with a candle but it was forgotten.

We both enjoyed our fancy cocktails recommended by our server. Mine had vodka and my date's had bourbon. The Short rib NEVER disappoints, I've had it many times and my date practically licked the plate clean. I enjoyed the texture and taste of the sea bass. Both dishes had delightful presentation and were just delicious. WE'll be back!

My husband and I took our daughter for Saturday brunch to celebrate her birthday. Our reservation was for 10:30 a.m., and the place was already very lively. The food was very good, with some innovative and tasty twists on breakfast classics. I highly recommend the apple pie French toast! The service was wonderful. Despite the fact that the restaurant was crowded and very busy, the wait staff was completely attentive and very friendly. Probably because the restaurant was crowded and very busy, it was also very noisy. It was difficult to hear each other, and hard to hold a conversation.

The Food Market is consistently top notch -- food, drinks, service, and the experience overall. Taylor, our server, could not have been friendlier. She made an already fantastic experience even better.

Food was terrific as always, especially grilled Bronzini. Great service and reasonably quiet! Never disappoints!!

This is a wonderful place with a truly creative menu. The server/serivce was great and everyone was very friendly. Our only complaints were: it was so loud, even on a Tuesday evening that it was very difficult to hear the server and to converse accross the table; and the salt content in several of the dishes seemed a bit high. Otherwise it is wonderful, the food is wonderful and we certainly enjoyed 1/2-price-bottle-of-wine-night!

The dish with the blue cheese risotto with the steak and fried oysters is insanely good. Also the Cracker Jack pop corn was amazing.

We had duck and bronzini, two very different dishes. Both were fabulous. The service is especially outstanding with a great attitude. Even the appetizer, a small shephard's pie also was great. Excellent beer selection too.

My friend and I arrived for a 6:45 reservation, but were forced to wait for at least 15 minutes while a table finished up. We eventually became frustrated, and decided to abandon our table and saddle up to the bar where there were plenty of seats. We are glad we did because we made lots of new friends! We each enjoyed a cocktail, and my friend had several extra dirty martinis. Ask that Sam makes yours ... He's the best! We enjoyed several appetizers and small plates ... Amish soft pretzels with beer-cheese fondue, buffalo pickles, bacon-wrapped shoshito peppers (the pimento cheese was off the chain), big ole mozzarella sticks, and Clinton's roasted brussels. I am not much for dessert, but we shared the hand whipped pumpkin cheese cake ... AMAZE! I cannot recommend The Food Market enough! Do it!

Consistently excellent food and drinks. I’ve never had a bad meal at the Food Market and the menu always seems to have hidden surprises that taste great.

We had dinner with an out of town friend. The food is fine. The wait staff is friendly and informal. Having free valet parking is a must.

But, the intensity of the crowd noise made conversation very difficult. We regretted the choice after 10 minutes of shouting at one another. Our seating was next to the bar so the confusion was greater than is typical.

My husband and I were in town for a conference and had a local recommendation for dinner. We looked at the menu and quickly made a reservation. The staff was amazing, the drinks were great and the food was out of this world. The buffalo Gorgonzola pickles are a must! I had the steak frites and my husband had the bison burger. We finished up the night with a blondie!

The hostess was BEYOND rude to me when we asked not to be seated in the middle of the room. The place was pretty empty as we arrived. She also seemd very non plussed when we left. Of course shes not the owner...why would she care?
Was once a place I enjoyed but will never get my patronage again.

We try to dine at the Food Market several times each year. It’s a drive from Harford County but well worth the trip. From appetizers thru dessert the food is excellent and plated and prepared very well. Dinner and drinks for six were just under $500. We will be back soon.

Amazing restaurant! We decided to do multiple small plates and there wasn’t a dish that we didn’t love. Amazing staff that were very attentive.

As always, the food was excellent and the staff was great. We were a little disappointed that when the reservation was made, we requested the two-top table by the front glass window. We were not seated there, nor was in even acknowledged that this requested. The couple that was occupying the table paid and left maybe 10 minutes after we were seated. We were disappointed since we were celebrating our engagement the day before. We were seated by the curtain, so were constantly dealing with people coming and going and being right on top of us.

Again, the food was amazing as usual, we were just a bit let down by our seating and the fact that it was just never even addressed that the table was unavailable.

We we're in town to celebrate our college student's birthday and picked this place based on the creative and cheeky menu. From the moment we walked in the friendly and gracious staff made us feel right at home. All smiles and willing to recommend dishes to try, the food runners, bartender and our marvelous server gave us a night to remember. The food was incredible! Will work my way through this menu for sure.

THE FOOD WAS TOP QUALITY WITH EXCELLENT FLAVORS AND PRESENTATION. THE SERVICE WAS PROMPT BUT NOT RUSHED. WOULD GO BACK IN A HEARTBEAT!

We met up with my millennial kids for a visit to Hampden. I called the restaurant because my daughter is vegan and was thrilled at the willingness to accommodate her eating style. For the non vegans, the duck fat nuts were a totally delicious surprise. The entrees are served with healthy sides that blend well with the main dish. There were empty plates all over the table. The ambience was hip, and we were seated at a window so could look outside to the happenings on the Avenue. Glad I found this little gem of a restaurant!

Food and service was excellent as always. The venue is boring and a little lout but doesn’t really matter. Food and wait staff are always great
