Tables too close together.
Not enough room for staff to pass by our table with resultant hitting against us.
Food was lovely but lukewarm by time it got to us.
Staff were friendly and efficient but there wasn't one designated person looking after us which meant lengthy wait for dessert menu and paying.
We were looking forward to eating here given it's profile but we were decidedly underwhelmed. We would not recommend it to others.
The food was not good and overpriced. Pretentious food, the cauliflower soup had two disks of salmon in it and a piece of brocolli. The flavours didnt work well. The parmesan sauce was overpowering with the cod, the cod was swimming in this sauce. We didnt stay for desert...
Really good and tasty food. The meat is great and the sideorders are really good too. The atmosphere is very welcoming although it's a bit noisy.
Grand, decent meal.
The restaurant is a nice spot in the middle of the city.
We had booked the table for 4 people and they gave us two individual table which they have a difference high between esch table of 3-5 cm, therefore we had some difficulties for sharing some dishes because of that.
We tried to change the table but they did not have another table for us.
We order a woodfure foccacia, which was very good and taste and then a meat for sharing but we had to wait dor between starter and main course more than 40 minutes, one side of cube potatoes and bacon come cold.
The waitress never offer coffee or a liquor after the dessert and gave the bills
Low experience for the price paid.
Amazing people were super nice they even gave us some complementary sides.
Very busy and service quite slow and a bit all over the place.
Have eaten here many times and food not as good as it used to be: duck liver starter a real let down with no subtlety of flavor or creativity. Fillet beef was ok but not amazing for €36...a bit dry overall.
A bit disappointed overall - usually top notch but they’ve removed some great stuff from the menu
Not so good, the meat was obviously bad and the waitress said she was going to ask what she could do, after the third time asking for the bill we left as fast as we could, will not go back unfortunately
The most delicious food and friendly staff .. Super quick service .. The flat bread pizza is incredible ..
Warm and spacious restaurant. Staff were very accommodating and food was very tasty. Little over priced for what you get but still tasty nonw the less. The upstairs bar is certainly worth a visit. Very nice cocktails with great music and ambience.
Not a good dining experience I'm afraid. The food was ok - not great but not completely horrible. the wine was good but very expensive if you wanted anything decent. the staff were the only good thing about the restaurant - they were friendly and helpful. It was noisy, uncomfortable and I didn't like the ambience one bit. I felt like I was in a large barn and having dinner with the people beside me.
The overpriced place, but still very busy at evenings. The food is good, but not amazing as in others Dylan McGrath’s restaurants. I was impressed by a cocktail menu, it’s huge and nice.
Our family celebrated our sons 18th birthday in Fade Street Social. Many options and ways of dining to choose from. Food was excellent but also different and creative. Sides were a pleasure to share. Lovely touch with a small special cake and plate for the birthday boy. Cheese plate was generous and great selection. Worth the price, one doesn’t go there for cheap and 😄
Quality and preparation and service is excellent. Unfortunately on this occasion the dinner plates were cold .... chateaubriand was served in a copper pan....not very warm at point of service and meat was very cold by the time we got to the final slices. We have enjoyed the chateaubriand here on a number of occasions and have not encountered this problem. Overall we enjoyed our dining experience and will return again.
Espacio muy pequeño, prácticamente los camareros no tienen espacio para pasar entre las mesas y a veces te golpean. Mesas demasiado juntas unas con otras. Tardaron muchísimo en servir el plato principal. Esperaba más del restaurante.
We've been here several times before but this time was a bit disappointing. The food has always been out of this world but on this occasion we both got the pork belly and the denver roll. I got the croquettes and my partner got chips. Everything that came out was tepid/warm instead of hot. The food defiantly wasn't as nice as last time.
Also during our meal one of the chefs starting swearing really loudly at someone else in the kitchen about a backpack? It really ruined the atmosphere and the whole restaurant stopped and stared but he kept going.
All the rest of the staff including our servers were really lovely though.
Overall we spent nearly €200 (including tip) on a meal for two which for what we received was quite a let down. As I said we've been here many times before but we both agreed we would try somewhere else next time we're in Dublin/
I was recommended this restaurant by a couple I met on a tour in Dublin and I couldn't be more happy with the recommendation. The food was fresh, delicious and the staff was top notch. Go!
Great cocktails menu and delicious food! Really lovely setting and good music. Only criticism is the menu could be bigger.
All around delicious food, great service and good atmosphere. Another group table was very loud which made it a bit hard to have a conversation, but the staff did their best to calm them down. Would recomend!
Castro Pub always excellent, care required when booking online as typically you will end up in the main restaurant area rather than the tapas bar..
Fantastic dishes full of flavour - generous chunks of meat in the Irish stews. Service a tad slow but worth the wait. Quite tightly packed and a busy energetic atmosphere.
Absolutely loved everything about this place. From the genuine, friendly staff to the amazing food. Fantastic atmosphere as well.
Lovely place, starter was lovely (flat bread pizza), main courses were a bit disappointing for us, sliced meat meant it cooled very quickly and had high expectations which didn't quite hit. Desert was ok but we ordered something were talked into taking rather than what we actually wanted to start with, should have went with original order so that one is on us!
The food was superior and subtly seasoned allowing the beauty of the local ingredients to shine through. The service was good, a little slow to get our check, odd as there is "strict 2 hour seating time". But honestly that was the only issue we had and then, only because my husband was wanting to get on with our evening. Highly recommend.
The main course is overpriced. 100 g of lamb for over 30 pounds. London is cheaper. The restaurant area is soulless
Service was forced given us the feeling we should leave ASAP
Given that we spent almost 500 euro this left us with a feeling that it was more important for them to sell the table one more time
All in all a good restaurant. Had seen the comments on the noise level and yes it is a bit noisier than usual, but not to ruin our evening.
Food was good, didn't have dessert as we the menu didn't interest us.
Outstanging- it takes your breath away!!!!!
Best regards from Finland🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮
Extremely slow service. Waited 2+ hrs for food. Food good but not amazing.. cool decor.
Great food-very inventive menu! Loved the cauliflower and ravioli side dishes. Restaurant is pretty noisy and small tables which makes it a bit difficult to fit all the yummy dishes on the table.
Food is okay. But bit noisy
Food and service was very good but it was too noisy.
a must-do in dublin. great vibe, great drinks, great food, great service. we really enjoyed the flatbread and the rabbit stew.
I loved the food, the food was superb in fact and I couldn't fault the service either. The waiting staff were uniformly excellent, personable, chatty and knowledgeable about the food they were serving and what wines would accompany the dishes best. My only criticism was the noise level. I'd say the seating area was 3/4 full and the noise of the crowd was quite distracting. There were four in my party and at times we were straining to hear what the other person sitting 3 or 4 feet away was saying. It may just have been the night we were there, I'm not sure as this was my first visit to Fade Street Social but, and this may be the most important part of this review, it won't be my last. Great food, great staff, location, great decor (the upstairs bar is smashing too by the way) just a bit noisy.
Had a great early bird dinner with my girlfriend in Dublin here. Service was great, the guy was funny and friendly. We really enjoyed our meal. It was outstanding!
We had an absolutely wonderful time here. The food is wonderful. The service is amazing. And the place had an amazing lively vibe. Highly recommended.
We had a nice meal at Fade Social. It was our first and only “fancy” meal while traveling in Ireland for two weeks. The food was pricey but of high quality. The service was good. It was a nice treat of meat after eating a lot of fish.
The food was absolutely delicious, especially the roasted cauliflower. The service was good-humoured and efficient. The atmosphere was relaxed but I imagine if the place was full, it could become very noisy. As it happened, the pre-theatre timing was ideal for us. We will return!
I’ve never had a bad meal or experience here, it’s fantastic! The only disappointment was that they got rid of my favorite dessert- a warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. Sounds simple, but SO delicious!
Food and wine are great! Unfortunately, it is so noisy, you can hardly hear the people you're dining with.
