Our favorite place to go on our date nights!!! My husband loves the oysters!!
Our waitress was excellent. Took really great care of us and made excellent suggestions.
Really enjoyed my meal...the grouper special and the fish and fries were awesome!
First time there. Seating was very uncomfortable - hard bench with a straight back. Tables for 2 are in a hallway with constant flow of people walking to the restroom. Food was very good and our waitress was friendly and attentive.
Becks has become a staple when it comes to fine dining in Augusta for our family. The atmosphere is wonderful and the booths are very comfortable and private. Our server was extremely personable and had a great sense of humor. She also was very knowledgeable on the menu and specials, helping us with decisions and choices. I had the flounder dinner which came mixed with shrimp, scallops and and rich cream sauce. My wife had the fish and chips. Both did not disappoint. I would highly recommend Becks to those looking for a wonderful atmosphere, great service and delicious menu choices.
Nicole was very nice and did a fantastic job for us!
Thanks!
Food is always delicious & beautifully prepared. Service was outstanding.
Girls night out
I was at Beck's about an hour ago and it was less than a stellar experience. The online menu is NOT up-to-date. The tables they seated my party of two in were tiny. I do have a 36" waist and am 6'1" tall, but my elbow could not leave my side closest to the wall. We ordered half a dozen Hunt's Style oysters (they were the highlight of the evening, Frog Hollow Tavern's are better), shrimp bisque, and andouille oyster soup (Venison Chili not on the menu). They were okay to good (the oyster soup could have benefited from some seasoning). We ordered the Salmon and Fried Lobster Tail (Cowgirl Ribeye not on the menu). After having our dinner order in for about 20 minutes we overhear the waitress telling the table next to us about the "specials". I chose the Salmon because the ribeye wasn't on the menu. There was also a redfish and/or grouper that I could hear. I sure wish I had asked for the specials but, do I really want to dine somewhere I need to ask?
Great place for the Augusta area. Excellent drink menu that includes an extensive wine and beer list along with creative craft cocktails.
Early dinner reservation before theater.
Fried oysters & blackened shrimp poorboy were excellent. Beer and wine selection good. Attentive staff without being pushy. Restaurant filled up rapidly so were glad that we had made a reservation.
Fantastic neighborhood restaurant and bar. always good oysters
great service at the oyster bar as usual, drinks were excellent as usual, food was great, liked the new shrimp & crab cake. Brittni is a gem, all the wait staff are first rate and Hannah and Grady are great behind the bar as always. only issue was couple sitting next to us at the oyster bar that were loud, obnoxious and wanted those around them hear their negative opinion on the catholic church, the republican party and President Trump, we cut short our normal time spent enjoying the atmosphere at the oyster bar last Saturday evening.
We had a awesome time. Great find while on business trip. Parking could be difficult but we lucked into a close spot.
A definite do over next time in Augusta. Too. Ad we can't instantly transport.
Everything was great! Very enjoyable!
We love Beck's! Always a good selection of food, including specials, and a good selection of wine and cocktails.
Nice restaurant but the dining room is a bit stark. Bar is really hopping. Food was quite good. Our waitress was not great about removing used glasses, etc. compares well with many Charleston chef restaurants.
We always enjoy Beck's. The oysters were fantastic, the creme brulee and Bailey's Irish creme mousse brownie jar were sublime!!
So glad we found this Gem! Amazing food! Mary Grace was amazing!
Love this place - only complaint is the bar seats - they are very uncomfortable. Otherwise - thumbs up!
Always enjoyable... fresh delicious and ambience always great!
Went for a quiet week day date night. Oysters were great, cocktails were great, pork chop was amazing!
Food was Fabulous, as Always! Jalapeno Margarita was on Point!
Our third visit. Took another couple for their first time. We are all from Aiken SC. Table was ready right on time. Service was EXCELLENT. Our server Olivia was absolutely wonderful! Saw several folks we knew there....worked with in Augusta. Great gathering place!!!! Very much enjoyed our food, drinks, service and the atmosphere!!! We will be back!
Our table was in a hall way, not much ambiance. There was an event in a back room which required multiple service people multiple trips to take care of. Lots of traffic . Despite this never ending trail of service, I had to twice catch someones attention to get a water refill. Food was good, service fair.
Great seafood place. Southern charm and delicious oysters. A lillte on the high side of pricing, but large plates are enough to split, really!!! We enjoyed, shrimp creole, smoked pork chop, shrimp burger, and fish N chips. We had small plate of tuna tartar, pimento hushpups, and oysters, all very good.
Nice ambience. Excellent service. Delicious food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
One of Augusta's best.
excellent service, drinks are first class and meal options and appetizer options are always plentiful. Beck's is our go to place every time we go out for any occasion.
I’ve been to Beck’s a couple times and enjoyed it. Went with a friend this weekend who hadn’t been before and the experience wasn’t up to par. My friend asked if a GF menu was available but we were told there wasn’t one. When asked if certain menu items could be made without the breading, we were also told that wasn’t an option. I understand, not every establishment can cater to food allergies however I haven’t been to a high end establishment before that refused to offer to some alternative. My food was ok, but not great. And it was cold when it arrived to the table. I would’ve told the server but she was MIA for about 25 minutes. She’d told us earlier in the evening that she was new when we’d asked for recommendations on cocktails, so I’m going to chalk this up to a learning curve. But I was disappointed with the whole dining experience this time.
Great meal!
The daily food specials and service were excellent. The oysters are a hit, the remaining printed menu entrees are somewhat limited and uninspired. Avoid being seated in the back rooms as it is totally void of any ambiance or energy; request the main dining room with your resrevation and if not available move on.
The oysters were outstanding!! Our dinners were delicious! Will definitely return with friends and family.
Great meal, great service. As a former Augustan (30 years gone), who doesn’t make it back much, I am selective about where I eat at - I will be back
Disappointed with the food. Tried both baked oysters on menu. They were served in their own water that diluted the cheese topping. Tasteless. Salad dinner special was good except the shrimp was cold and dry. Had mussels that were loaded with sand. Replacement less sandy but not very tasty. Broth excellent. Will not return.
Polite and professional waitress, fantastic food! Very small booth for two, but it was worth the squeeze for the watermelon Moscow mule, tuna tartare, baked oysters, and shrimp burger!
Restaurant is a real gem on Central Ave. Service always great and food is exceptional. One of my favorites.
Always a great dining experience! The Baked Oyster with the sliced Jalapeño and a diverse selection of raw oysters were a great start. Followed by the Pimento Cheese Hush Puppies, yes you heard me correctly, Pimento Cheese Hush Puppies..... so addicting they should be illegal. Top it off with a great fried lobster tail (along with the Hush Puppies, this entree’s so good it’s legality should be in question also) and a fantastic flounder and seafood stuffing. All around great food, great service from Olivia and an always charming atmosphere. Undoubtedly on the shortlist for best restaurants in Augusta.
The food was exceptional and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back.
Friendly staff! Knowledgeable about recommendations for wine.
Cocktails were really good...fresh strawberry margarita and old fashioned. The margarita was perfect...all house made ingredients and not overly sweet.
The appetizer special was fried oysters which were superb.
I got the salad special which had greens, watermelon, cantaloupe, and blackened shrimp -excellent.
My husband got the seafood special...founder, shrimp, crawfish in a casserole topped with breadcrumbs and cheese. It, too was delicious.
All of te severs were friendly and helpful. The service was quick.
We saw lots of friends - definitely a warm, friendly vibe.
