Becks never disappoints. Their specials are always delicious, so it’s hard to decide on what to eat! We highly recommend the pimento cheese hush puppies and fried oysters as an appetizer. Fried Lobster tail is sweet and savory. This is one of our favorite places in Augusta.

Food was great, as was the service. We were seated in a loud, crowded corner which made dining experience less pleasurable.

Service by Amy was great! Oysters and drinks were good. Had fried lobster tail which was a little salty. Will try something else next time.

The chef John Beck and his staff are the BEST!!

This was my first time in Augusta. I was there for work however my best friend lives there. She didn't have any ideas for dinner so I came to my trusty #OpenTable. At first I was hesitant but i decided to try Beck's. We had an AH-MAZING dinner!!!!!! If you drive too fast you'll miss it. It looks small from the front but it's very large. The food....gracious. The drinks....hammercy.

We started with the pimento cheese hushpuppies. Never tasted any hushpuppy like it. My bestie had the blackened grouper with spinach and potatoes. She said it was the best she's ever had. I had the fried catfish with greens, black eyed peas and rice. I was skeptical about the greens but honey....i thought they were mine!!! Tender and flavorful. We ordered chicken wings....the sauce and rub together were tasty. For dessert she had the creme brulee..... de-lish!!!

Overall this was one of the best choices I had for dinner!!!!!!! I hope to visit again when I come back.

Simply delicious food!

The menu is very creative and varied enough to suit all types of individual tastes. the oyster bar is outstanding in terms of selection and freshness and the staff always have information on all of the various oyster types to assist in making a good selection. The appetizers are always varied and they have a good variety of apps. The specials are always numerous as well and the fried soft shell crab this past Saturday was outstanding as they fry them in a very light batter and they are cleaned correctly as well prior to cooking.
The service is always GREAT especially Hannah at the oyster bar and Pat who is always a great source of what oysters are just right for my wife's taste. Julie behind the bar makes excellent drinks and every waiter is always professional and pleasant and well trained. Also, Britnni is just great to work with in terms of making reservations, setting up business dinners, and representing Beck's in such a positive and professional manner. Overall this is just a great place to have dinner and drinks as a couple or with friends and the other key item to me is that at Beck's you can ask to substitute certain side dishes with no hassle or additional charge. john Beck is a first class person and runs a first class restaurant in every manner.

Interesting restaurant. Great seafood selection. Similar dishes to Sheehans. Much older crowd than typical Augusta restaurants.

Great food, very tasty, good presentation. Excellent and friendly service. Drinks a bit expensive and back room needs appeal. Felt as if we were being hidden away. Front area is wonderful, more lively, active, bright, bar is nice. Much better than the back room dining area. One of my favorite places and will return.

Fish is cooked to diners specifications which I like. Good, not great, wine list but better than most in the area. Our party of five each ordered different entries and all were more than satisfied with their selection. We will eat there again for sure.

Had a reservation-but only table available was a tiny table attached to a wall outside main dining room area. Ambiance was waitresses constantly walking back and forth beside our table to serve a private party in rear of restaurant.
Food average. Probably will not return.
Not nearly as good as sister-restaurant-Sheehan's, just up the road.

We were so happy to see this spot on Kings Way occupied by a new restaurant -- Becks. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our appetizers were exceptional and the presentation, especially the Caesar's salad was great. Our seafood entrees were menu items and both were delicious. The oysters were tasty, salty and well prepared. We will look forward to returning to Becks in the near future -- the next time with friends.

We had an awesome meal at Becks! The grouper was delicious and served with the best creamed spinach. Our server and the chef were very accommodating by substituting potatoes for broccolini. It was delicious! My date's meal was equally good - flash fried flounder with shrimp and scallops in a spicy cream sauce. Great service, great atmosphere, and a cozy booth up front by the bar and window. Couldn't ask for a better experience!

Always fun the perfect place to eat and see local friends. Best raw bar in town, great food, service and cocktails.

My entree was very well prepared and presented. It was plenty of food and I was satisfied. It was a little pricey to go there due to the drinks. Two drinks was almost as much as the meal. Overall good experience, good food, good people.

As a randomly chosen evening for dinner the experience was exquisite and very enjoyable. The conversations with the oyster shucker are always charming and the pairing with Chardonnay set the evening to a great start. Oysters are always an excellent balance of brine and meat, great recommendations. The wine chosen was spot on to make the oysters a complex but very delicious pairing.

The fish was perfectly cooked and the wine accentuated the sauce. The only regret that I had was that there was no room for dessert. Overall, a very ethereal evening that matched the atmosphere, oysters, entrees, and wine perfectly. As always, will be back to make more memories.

Winner, winner chicken dinner! Actually, we had oysters and fish! JB can cook it up folks! Don’t miss out!

Beck's is our go to place! We absolutely love everything about the place! The food is always so flavorful and delicious! Oysters are the best in town! The staff treat you like family!

Not sure if Mary Grace was new or just in a mad mood, but the service was not even close to being on point with the other nicer restaurants in Augusta (Frog Hollow, Sheehans, Abel Brown, etc.).

Upon ordering a steak she did not take a temperature request and even walked away before getting everyone's order at our table. She seemed very annoyed with our table, for no apparent reason.

This wasn't the worst experience I've had, but it was much better the last time we dined here.

This was our second time here and we requested bar seating which was ready for us. The oysters were delicious and they have a large variety of flavors available. Service was excellent as usual!Highly recommend for special occasions. It is a little pricey but very worth it.You truly get what you pay for.

We went there for my daughter in laws graduation dinner. The food, the atmosphere, the service was all SUPERB! It’s our favorite places to eat when we visit Augusta!
