    Ruth’s Chris has always been one of my favorite steakhouses in Portland, but tonight’s experience was disappointing. The food and atmosphere were excellent, and our server, Gage, was phenomenal. He took great care of my family from start to finish and truly deserved the generous tip we left him. Unfortunately, the evening took a turn when the general manager, Jeff, approached our table, asked how everything was, then requested that our children remain seated. As a parent, I’m very mindful of my children’s behavior in public. They weren’t running around or causing a scene, so his approach caught me off guard and felt disrespectful. After dinner, I pulled Jeff aside privately to express my concerns. He mentioned a neighboring table had complained, which surprised me. What bothered me most was his dismissive demeanor. When I asked his name, he offered me his business card, but I walked away feeling like he genuinely couldn’t care less about my concerns. As a fellow business owner, I understand that handling customer concerns isn’t always easy, but how you approach people matters. Jeff, do better. Gage and the rest of the staff deserve five stars. Unfortunately, one interaction with management overshadowed an otherwise wonderful family dinner. Ruth’s Chris remains a favorite, but I’ll think twice before bringing my family back.

    We had a grate time the food is amazing. This was our first time there. Everyone one was friendly and checked on us all through dinner.

    Service was excellent. Steak was ordered medium was a little dry. Seafood fish and shrimp said it was New Orleans BBQ flavored it did not taste anything like it. Overall a very mediocre experience for the price. Will probably not ever return.
