The food was delicious! I ordered the Ranchers with french toast and enjoyed my trip to the topping bar for fresh strawberries. However, I can't wait to go back so I can order the Carnitas benedict. I tried a bite of my husband's order and knew we needed to come back so I could get it for myself.

The burrata was wonderful! It was my first taste ever of persimmon, which was great. My lunch companion dug into the Reuben with great joy.

About the restaurant
***FIRN will be opening early at 1pm October 25th for Seahawks Gameday***

Perched above Pioneer Square, Firn at Populus pairs skyline views with a creative and delicious cocktail menu. Drinks are ingredient focused, carefully concocted, and draw inspiration from the transitional nature of our environment and the concept of water and its transition through the phases of the water cycle. The food is a simple offering that complements the cocktail program and is designed for sharing. With an open-air setting and a lively atmosphere, it’s the perfect destination for good drinks and great company.

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, all reservations are for interior seating. Our team is happy to accommodate outdoor seating where possible (please note your preference in the reservation notes).

Firn is a 21+ establishment. We DO NOT accept vertical IDs

About the restaurant
Founder Susan Kaufman was originally inspired by her love-affair with the small plates, or “cicchetti,” she discovered at Venetian tapas bars. As she traveled extensively throughout the Mediterranean, she found a unifying thread in both the flavors and atmospheres of the casual and warm eating environments she frequented. Determined to bring the essence of all of these cultures and flavors home, she launched Cicchetti Kitchen + Bar in November of 2009. Respecting the unique Seattle architectural gem designed by George Suyama, she transformed the décor into a modern, convivial space that reflects a traditional Venetian aesthetic with a distinct Northwest attitude. The rest is history.

We went for my mom’s 80th birthday. We just moved my parents into town and it was the first time our family has been together to celebrate her birthday together in a long time. The staff made her feel so special and all the little touches added up to an amazing evening. Our server Sima was so attentive and kind and the manager Jillian made sure we had everthing we needed. The ambiance is lovely and the food delicious.

Always a great location to eat. Great view or the city and lake union. Lots of small plates with a more limited menu of large plates. Only fish available last night was Halibut which was excellent.

The restaurant had a really good vibe and a nice view of the water. It wasn’t very busy on an early Sunday evening with the exception of a few patrons watching the game and dinners both inside and out. The experience was lovely and the Seafood Feast looks like a wonderful option for a future birthday celebration, indeed. Will definitely be returning.
