I celebrated Mexican Independence Day with friends at Bond, and we had such an amazing night! ✨ I originally made a reservation for 7:45, but when I reached out to see if they could move it to 6:30, they were super helpful and accommodating. When we arrived, our area was already ready for us, and the spot was so cute, comfortable, and had such a fun atmosphere. Our waitress was also super nice and attentive. I tried the Banana Nut Espresso Martini, and WOW — it was honestly the best espresso martini I’ve ever had! 🍸🤎 My friends and I sang, danced, chatted, laughed, and just had an absolute blast. We shared both the shrimp birria tacos and the regular beef birria tacos. Both were good, but I definitely preferred the beef! 🌮 Overall, it was such a fun night celebrating Mexican Independence Day with great drinks, good food, and even better company. 🇲🇽🥂💃🏻 10/10 night! ❤️💚🤍

Thank you, Salt, for consistently delivering excellent service and accommodating my dietary needs. We are delighted with everything overall. The host greeted us warmly, the waitress was kind and kept us informed about our food order, and the chef was remarkable in providing such great flavor and value in the dishes.

I am at Ambra⁠, and this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Basically, the best of modern-day concepts made popular in places like Miami, Las Vegas, and Mykonos, without the vapid, vacation-like reverberation that spoils so many of those places. Ambra, despite its intense status as a battleground of the bimborie, delivers a genuinely delicious menu. It’s well-constructed and tempered by magnificent genius. It is as Habibi as it is Mexican, and Mexican it is. Unlike its offensive and decaying peers like STK and company, Ambra is clearly committed to a mission. Whatever this mission is, it is drilled into the servers. Ours, America, was a most charming emissary of it. McAllen, Texas, is not necessarily a fine-dining hub, despite having classes of people who can throw bands down with the rest of them. I am not familiar with the origins of Ambra, but it is definitely worthy of being a place to aspire to eat at. The charred beets and labneh paired with the lamb lollipops are a seriously in-love couple, and it’s obvious that the kitchen has executed aggressively well on these and other dishes thousands upon thousands of times. The food is really serious and stunning. Share it, eat it all. Nothing on the menu is lying to you. Now, don’t get me wrong, Ambra is fun. The drinks menu is extravagant, and it’s where the full flamboyance of Miami vibes is unabashedly put forward and shown to you, like a short skirt. You can be with your raucous friends next to a family celebrating their second-oldest’s birthday, and it’s fine. Maybe it’s because they’re also having a great time, too. Maybe it’s because it’s in McAllen. Maybe it’s because we are Mexican. Either way, it’s happening at Ambra, and this food is special. And again, make sure to ask for America.

Amazing experience from start to finish! From the food and service to the atmosphere, everything was truly a 5-star experience for us. The food was delicious, unique, and beautifully presented. Our server, Darnell, was incredibly helpful with recommendations and made it easy for us to decide what to order. He was attentive throughout our entire visit without ever being overbearing. Even after we paid, we stayed a little longer to finish our wine, and he continued to check on us to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Great food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. I definitely recommend this place, and we will absolutely be going back!

Il Forno has been a favorite of my family for a number of years. The reasons are numerous but service and quality of food are the top reasons. It doesn't matter if there is a reservation or we are walking in we are always greeted warmly and seated immediately. The service is extraordinary. This time was no exception. Our server Jaymes was great. Very attentive, personable and professional. The food was incredible, my usual and favorite the carbonara was outstanding! Jaymes' table side demeanor was warm and congenial. This instance is yet another example of why we keep coming back.

This was our first time here and we will be returning! Our service was incredible. The waitstaff recommended an excellent wine that paired well with the crispy provolone which is a must have. The chicken parm was excellent and also the pizza. We went home with a lot of leftovers. Felice’s was excellent!
