Stanmore
About the restaurant
Sixpenny was founded in March 2012 and is named after the Sixpence restaurants that operated in Australia in the late 1800s. Located at the top end of Stanmore Village, Sixpenny is housed in a historic building on Percival Road, which was erected in 1907.

Chefs Daniel Puskas and Tony Schifilliti lead the kitchen in utilising local suppliers, growers and producers to focus on creating a narrative around all things that make up Australia.

We have chosen to offer a tasting menu to all guests. We collaborate with small-scale farmers, fishermen, and producers to create a progressional offering influenced by the seasons.

Amazing food, wine, service and atmosphere. Loved the new menu items since our last visit, and that the strawberry/raspberry dessert is still on! Great food is a given, but the team's interactions and passion for the food/wine, and customer experience make it even more exceptional. Thanks for making my other half's birthday so special (every year!).

A meal at MAIZ never disappoints which is why I keep going back. From the delicious corn soup, esquites ( which I literally have every time I go) to the kingfish apple and cucumber ceviche and the duck carnitas. All terrific. Don’t miss the seasonal offerings— this time the most spectacular dessert made from tomatillos. This humble restaurant serves up perfection every time.

Newtown
About the restaurant
Fabbrica Newtown is centred around a long, travertine topped counter overlooking an open kitchen and bar. There's banquette seating and sun-dappled tables beneath a series of skylights in the main dining area. We serve seasonal snacks, innovative pastas and an excellent selection of drinks.

Led by Head Chef Keir Ballantyne, as well as the classics like zucchini flowers filled with ricotta and drizzled with hot honey, cacio e pepe and tiramisu, you'll also find some snacks, pastas and secondis on the menu - exclusive to Newtown - like ravioli of sweetcorn with 'nduja and sage, or barbecued chicken with Aleppo pepper and salsa verde.

About the restaurant
Our restaurant & workshop share space, but more important are the views we share - that if we can make it ourselves, we will. That traditions guide but do not rule. Rising Sun Workshop does not support factory farming, what we buy in we buy local, from roasters, smokers, brewers, growers, winemakers & distillers who share our philosophies - our mates.

We’re here for your crazy & not so crazy dietaries, not all things are possible but with a little notice they might be.

Great quality of wagyu cuts, had been dining couple of times and still top of my favourite. However the food came up slower, it used to be very fast. Will always come back and recommend this place.

Had a great time sat in the beer garden having a couple of pints before going to Stix. Food and service were both excellent - beautiful Greek food. Dips were a little small though and had to keep getting extra bread - not major issues. Would definitely go back if in the area.
