A magnificent former church conversion which is now a licensed coffee shop, art gallery and events space. The William Morris floor to ceiling stained glass windows set the tone.... it's glamourous, comfortable and every detail has been considered. We're an independent restaurant and café tucked beside the McManus Museum on Albert Square in Dundee. We're run by two Kiwis and we take our name from the Kiwi tradition of the "bach" — a humble holiday home where friends and whanau gather to unwind, eat well, and lose track of time.

Brunch is at the core of what we do — for 10 years now. And today, we cook over fire (kanaku) because it's what we grew up doing and it makes everything taste better. We cook what we love — food from everywhere we've lived, travelled and eaten. There's no single cuisine here, just the stuff that's made us happy over the years. We pour good beer because life's too short for bad ones. And we don't care what you're wearing. Whether you come for brunch at nine, brunch at one or fire at two, we've got you covered.

My daughter and I loved this place! Really enjoyed the Kiwi touches and the menu was really interesting. Service was super friendly and the food was delicious. Lovely airy space. Will definitely be back next time we're in Dundee.

This was first visit and will certainly not be my only visit. Food , small plates excellent value and the duck shaped biscuits with our hot drinks, were a cheerful touch. Service was really good especially from Dimitar and Bex. Definitely high up on my “ ladies who lunch” list.

The original library and drawing room of Taypark House is the perfect home for our impressive restaurant. Each room enjoys uninterrupted views across the botanical gardens and the beautiful, shimmering River Tay. We've sympathetically restored these two rooms to highlight their original features, whilst adding our own modern vintage twist - like the hanging teapot lamps dangling from the ornate plaster ceiling, or the cluster chandelier with pretty, patterned lampshades draped from the central rose. It really is an incredible setting for delicious dining.

Our award winning chef Glenn Roach who has previously held 3 AA rosettes and now already earned 1 AA rosette with his take on home cooking looks to recrate classic dishes and lets the locally sourced produce speak for it self

The food here was spectacular. The dishes were all flavorful and well-balanced, and the service was well done in a room full of ambiance and very chill 1920s style music lightly playing in the background. A worthy dining option for anyone in Dundee!
