My experience at restaurant Alt Wyk on Föhr can be summarized in one word "excellent", excellent in all aspects regarding the visit of a first class restaurant. What I find utterly pleasant as well is a non-stiff but relaxed und prudent atmosphere.

Our name means “driftwood” in the Sylter Frisian language and reflects a cuisine shaped by the sea and the North, while remaining open to Mediterranean influences. Look forward to the finest regional and seasonal produce, precise craftsmanship and honest flavours.
At lunchtime, we serve Nordic tapas designed for tasting and sharing, followed in the afternoon by freshly baked waffles and coffee specialities. In the evening, expect fish, seafood, premium meat dishes and changing recommendations – accompanied by a diverse wine selection that brings together established names and exciting young winemakers. Amazing place - the Friesenbrot with Salzbutter is a must have. As is the Goatscheese appetiser. Fish all super fresh and well prepared. Fantastic service as well
