The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment.

The Afternoon Tea menu offers guests a wide selection of speciality teas or perhaps a glass of Champagne, delicate finger sandwiches, warm freshly baked scones with lashings of cream and home-made jam, not to mention our tasty pastries. It’s the perfect way to spend a leisurely afternoon with friends.

Please note that all visitors will be directed to our car park located across the bridge and a shuttle will be provided. Should there be any delays please call the hotel.

The Tea was such a lovely experience. Every bite was better than the last. The teas were perfect, and everyone was beyond kind from the welcome to the ride over to the falconry school afterward. It was the perfect experience.

Went there this evening for the first time and it was just lovely.The food the staff everything was so nice.It was our friends birthday and they couldn’t of been nicer brought out our dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday.will definitely be retuning again x

Great staff, very friendly and attentive, helpful with information about Wesport and the locale. The food was delicious, 4 of us all had a different main course from ribs to fajitas to burgers and all was well cooked, tasty and hot. The overall cost was reasonable and worth it for the tasty food in lovely ambient surroundings.
