Located on the medieval Butterslip Lane, Petronella, just like her namesake, has an illustrious past, located in one of Kilkenny's oldest and historic buildings. The restaurant pays homage to Petronella, the first woman accused of witchcraft in Ireland and the first woman in Europe to be executed by burning at the stake, just a few steps from our door.

We visited Petronella on st Patrick’s day and sampled the brunch menu with such lovely and friendly service that we decided to visit again on our last evening. Wow, the food didn’t disappoint, everything was cooked to perfection and the service from the staff was both efficient and friendly. The whole restaurant has such a friendly feel to it and our meal there was a lovely way to end what had been a fantastic road trip around county Dublin, Cork and Kerry. Well done Petronella we will definitely visit again.

Set in the 'Garden Village' at Tankardstown, Brabazon Restaurant has become a true destination for diners and lives long in the memory of all who visit.
Head Chef János Sárközi and his team offer a culinary experience based on seasonality and local produce; some of which is derived from the estates own kitchen garden and polytunnels.

Sean’s mouth-watering new menu is as always sourced locally with some ingredients even grown on the very grounds of the Cliff at Lyons Estate.
