We opened our pizzeria in Clapham a few years ago with a simple mission; serve great food in a beautiful space, like with all of the Berberè sites. Now, a few years later we have lovely local following that come in droves, especially at the weekend.

Although open all year round, from springtime onwards you can sit outside on the terrace with a negroni, glass of prosecco or a craft beer and transport yourself to Italy, surrounded by festoon lights and olive trees. Inside, you'll find two beautiful rooms with an open kitchen that spreads across the two sides. If you're lucky and book enough in advance, you could hire the side room for a private booking (up to 40 people). We've had people celebrate birthdays galore, wedding parties, end of exam parties to name a few - you name the occasion and we'll sort the party.

Really good pizza, and amazing pizza dough. Went as a family with two young kids and was a crowd pleaser. Nice on a Saturday with the market in front. Would recommend!

Spring St. Pizza is our take on the iconic pizzerias and Italian-American bars of New York. Led by Michelin-starred chef Tom Kemble, we’re all about house-made dough, quality ingredients and a killer drinks list. Find us under the railway arches in Borough, moments from Borough Market, London Bridge and The Shard.

THE RESTAURANT: Our New York-inspired 18-inch pizzas start with house-made biga dough, fermented for up to 72 hours. Toppings keep things simple, from DOP San Marzano tomatoes and 24-month Parmesan to Calabrian chilli sausage. Plus Italian wines, spritzes, beers and house-made soft serve.

THE BAR: For before dinner, after dinner or instead of it. Martinis are at the heart, alongside spritzes, Negronis, house cocktails, Italian wines, ice-cold beers and house-made bar plates.

Pizza is served in the Restaurant only.

Basil is a very important ingredient and a well known healthy herb with an amazing perfume that represents the real Mediterranean cuisine. We have chosen the word ” Vasinikò” to aim of freshness, of summer and intense aroma like all our pizzas of our new London pizza restaurant. Nice pizza place - food was great. The table for 3 was a bit cramped as it was on a curved wall. But, the pizzas and desserts were very good. Service was attentive.

We just had our fourth dinner at Carmela’s - every time the staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the vibe is great. The pizza is delicious every time. We find that on busier evenings food takes a bit longer to come out (to be expected), but it’s well worth it. Somewhere we will always take friends when they come to visit. And the wine offering is great too!

We took the grandchildren here ant worked perfectly for the young V&A . Pizza was delicious and staff friendly and helpful. Would return and happily recommend

Great location next to Tower Bridge, lovely atmosphere and great service, the pizza was amazing, we are both celiac so finding a good gluten free pizza is hard, this was beautiful, would recommend and will definitely be back on our next trip 👌🏼

RESTAURANT: From 5pm on weekdays and from midday on weekends, we’re open ‘til late for our restaurant service.

FOOD:
Fired Neapolitan pizza, made with slow-fermented dough (vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options available). Small plates and antipasti from olives and truffle crisps to aioli and ice cream sandwiches.

DRINKS:
Cocktails, classic and seasonal, built in-house. Wines, a curated list of red, white, rosé and sparkling. Draft beer, cider and Guinness on tap. Seasonal sips, our non-alcoholic blends with fruits, herbs and teas.

CAFÉ & WORKSPACE: Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm, we open as a chilled workspace for individuals and small groups. Proper coffee and light snacks served all day.
