Chef Andrea Carlson opened Burdock & Co in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood in 2013. Our cooking is grounded in a deep connection to place — the Canadian Pacific Northwest — shaped by coastlines, valleys, forests, and urban gardens.

We work closely with farmers, growers, and foragers to highlight the natural abundance of British Columbia, letting each ingredient speak clearly and honestly.

At Burdock & Co, we primarily offer a seasonal tasting menu — a curated progression that reflects the moment, the land, and the people behind the ingredients.

Our wine program follows the same philosophy: thoughtful, artisanal producers, a respect for the land, and wines that transparently express where they come from.

Absolutely phenomenal. Every aspect of the experience was great. I got the non-alcoholic pairing with my tasting and each drink was exceptional. We also got a few alcoholic drinks from the menu and they were all great. We were in Vancouver celebrating my wife’s birthday and our plan was to eat at Michelin restaurants throughout the weekend. This was the best meal we had, and it was far from the most expensive. Excellent value.

A lovely experience. Melissa, our server, was excellent. Lots of interesting choices on the menu. Our food - lox bagel, avocado toast- and coffees were delicious. All 3 of us will definitely return.

Lavidas is a contemporary comfort restaurant serving a variety of different cuisine. Our menus are driven by local ingredients and cultural influences with fresh modern styling and molecular techniques.
We continue to serve a few of our favourites along with some new dishes inspired by PNW ingredients.

Our meal was incredible! The mango salad was delicious. Then came the gnocchi! Wow! Best I have ever eaten. My husband had the beef with the mashed potatoes and it was delicious. The desserts were yummy too. Great value!
