San Lorenzo's Ratings and Reviews
Delicious food and very friendly service at reasonable price. Had the pre theatre menu tomato soup with bread and delicious goats cheese. Asked for extra bread and they never charged for that. Followed this with hake and gnocchi, very tasty. Nice atmosphere, not too many people or too few. Was recommended to me and I would recommend to others.
Had a great catch up with friends on Saturday for brunch. We had booked for 3pm but our table wasnt ready for quite a while, didnt mind too much but we were offered conplimentary drinks then which made waiting all the easier. The manager was very apologetic but service was great so we had no complaints. Brunch was delicious, I had the crab cakes with poached eggs done to perfection. Cocktails were great too. Would deffo recommend and also ill be back
I had brunch with a friend on Saturday and it was just delicious! Great service and wonderful food! Nice cocktails too! I was very glad I made a reservation in advance and it was jam packed! So keep that in mind when you think of going as it's a obvioulsy popular weekend spot. The staff were so nice and we were nicely stuffed by the time we left. We will definitely be back!
While some of our group thought the meal was ok , the majority where unhappy with their meal, a visit to our local takeaway on the way home is not a good sign . The level of customer service was very low , they did not include a €30 bottle of wine on the bill and when we kindly brought it to the attention of staff she did not seem too bothered by our gesture. Plenty of nicer restaurants in Dublin with better staff , atmosphere and food. Am raging because I had heard some good reviews and had recommended this place to our group.
Top Class in every way. Our first time for Brunch and I was delighted to treat my friend for her birthday and it was fantastic. Food, service and atmosphere - also we ran a little late and staff were so accommodating..
Thank you all, will be back very very soon
Bruschetta starter with sardines was soaked in sauce so that the bread turned into a sponge and the sardines had huge backbones and loads of small bones throughout, whole dish was wrong. My father had prawns which came with 'toast' which was also submerged in sauce turning it into a sopping wet sponge also. Very simple mistakes. Main courses were better but still everything was covered in sauce and vegetables were limp and overcooked. You can tell chefs can't do basics right and try to cover up. Food is overpriced, table space is small, service is average.
Met a friend for Brunch on a Saturday morning, would def recommend booking in advance as the restaurant was no very big and most tables were taken. Also the tables are very close together so if it's privacy your looking for this is not the restaurant for you. They have an extensive brunch menu which pretty much caters for everybody's taste whether it's sweet or savory. Also have a really good cocktail list if you fancy a boozy brunch.
The restaurant itself is very nice, except how very very close the tables for 2 are to each other. We went for the early bird menu.My Caprese was very nice but at an addition charged of 2.95 the gambas for 3 prawns that you had to peel yourself wasn't work the money or effort involved My hake was so over cooked and my husbands chicken breast saltimbocca was also dry and it hadn't any sage that had been in the description and just 2 baby potatoes. The cheesecake also had a 2.95 additional charge. The Ice cream was very nice. I can't say the same for the 2nd 2 drinks we ordered, as they never came. We mentioned this to another waiter who apologized but then when we asked our waitress for our bill she totally forgot to bring it to us so we got up and paid at the bar.She had passed our table 3 times after we asked for the bill.It was the same waiter that apologized when we told him we had been waiting for our bill. Very disappointing .
The Coco pop french toast was everything as advertised and more. It was an out of this world taste experience! We used open table to reserve a 10:15 seating for two (they open at 10AM) on a Sunday morning. There were only two other couples there and service was quick and efficient. By the time we left 45 minutes later, the place was full. Music and decor was nice; comfortably ate within the 1hr 15 min limit. Relatively small space. Definitely worth the adventure!
